Damage mod for world of tanks. What does the mod look like in battle?

Battle results in terms of experience and silver depend on the player's usefulness in battle. One of the indicators that influence the outcome of the battle and the reward for it is the damage caused. A simple counter makes it easy to monitor your effectiveness and evaluate your usefulness in battle before it ends.

The damage counter mod records the result of each successful shot and its result. Based on this information, you can also calculate the WN8 rating and RE for the battle, which is also useful for assessing your effectiveness. The mod can be installed in one of four configuration options:

  • V.1 - detailed information about each shot and the damage dealt in general
  • V.2 - total and average indicators, as well as ratings for the battle
  • V.3 is also a detailed log, differing from the first version in the color scheme and arrangement of elements
  • Minimalistic - shows only the amount of damage dealt for all shots. This configuration comes in three colors - white, turquoise and green.

This is what a minimalistic version of the damage log looks like:

The green number at the top edge of the screen is damage. The second version of the log also shows the final value, but also contains an indicator of the number of penetrations, the average damage per penetration and the result of the last successful shot:

Closer to the right corner in the screenshot you can see the dynamically calculated ratings of WN8 and RE. The green number shows how much more damage was caused in the current battle than the average for a given combat vehicle.

Detailed damage log V.3 looks like this:

Description:

The developers have already built a couple of mod features into the game, for example: a smart mini-map from XVM and a reload timer, but they haven’t gotten around to the damage counter yet. And a lot of tankers want to have this mod, because knowing the amount of damage dealt immediately in battle is very convenient. Until this is done, there are several mods that allow you to add a damage counter to the game:

  • XVM mod for WOT
  • simple damage counter working without XVM for 0.9.15.1

It is the second option that will be presented here. After all, the first option may not be suitable for everyone, since in addition to the damage counter mod itself, it also installs a package of others, such as: a smart mini-map, a light indicator, modified vehicle markers and other goodies that, although you can disable them, will still be present drop your FPS a bit. And why install something that you won’t use if you can install the required mod separately.

The damage counter that works without XVM will not affect FPS in any way and with its installation you will not receive unnecessary modifications. Some versions of the damage log have a number with a minus (-1285) - this is an indicator of the average damage of the current tank on the server and it is used to calculate your effectiveness rating in battle, which you can immediately see. It will be presented in 4 versions:

The first option, when you press ALT, will show you a detailed hit log. For lovers of minimalism, there is a very simple damage log that displays only the total amount of damage per battle:

Turquoise:

If you have a weak PC or simply don’t like the XVM mod, but want to have a damage counter in your game, be sure to install this mod for yourself.

New damage counter for WOT 0.9.15.1.

Despite the large selection of counters, we decided to add a completely new version of it, which, in addition to the damage caused, will also display the nicknames of those you killed, as well as the number of penetrations. It looks quite minimalist and stylish. Does not affect FPS in any way and is compatible with other mods.

It is located in the upper left corner and has an excellent settings file with which you can customize it for yourself: change the text color, completely change the information displayed, and so on.

Mod setup:

The mod settings file can be found here: World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.15.1\scripts\client\mods\HitlogAnnouncer.json.

Damage dealt + damage blocked:

Some time ago we added a counter for damage dealt and blocked, but then we removed it, because this is a slightly different mod. But after reading your comments, we decided to bring it back and support it with every update. It will display on the screen, in the upper left corner, above the ears, the amount of damage dealt and blocked by the player. It looks like this:

The mod is configured here: WOT\res_mods\configs\DamageLog\.

  • Blocked.cfg - is responsible for displaying blocked damage;
  • Damaged.cfg - is responsible for displaying the damage caused;

Installation:

Copy the scripts folder to WOT/res_mods/0.9.15.1/.

If after installing the mod you do not see the damage counter, change its location?

  1. Open the file WOT\res_mods\0.9.15.1\scripts\client\gui\mods\MultiHitLog\ZMHL_MOJ.json.
  2. Find the line "WindowKeyList":[ and further ("xAlign": "Normal", "x": 220 are the X coordinates, a little further in the same line "yAlign": "Normal","y": 9, - Y coordinates. There can be several such lines with coordinates.
  3. Change them as you need and save the changes.
  4. Re-enter the game.

Updated for WOT 1.6.0.7. A mod that shows in real time how much damage you caused in battle against illuminated vehicles. It very clearly demonstrates your contribution to the team’s victory.

Log of damage caused in battle

This modification is essentially a lightweight one, from which everything unnecessary has been cut out. That is, this is a damage log, but without a reindeer meter.

Who is this mod for?

  • for those who do not need the bells and whistles that the full version of XVM offers;
  • For those whose performance was significantly reduced by the standard reindeer meter (this mod does not reduce FPS, verified!).

How to install?

Copy the configs folder to \World_of_Tanks\mods\. Copy the remaining folders and files to World of Tanks\mods\1.6.0.7.

What does the mod look like in battle?

A few lines are added in the upper left corner:

The description below is not relevant yet, since the structure of the mod has changed!

Is it possible to change the position of the block? Yes, you can, I just still have , so it’s more convenient for me to display my damage on top. To change the location, open the file:

F:\Games\World_of_tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\@kodos\ hitLog.xc

You can do this using my favorite Notepad++. To move a block, change its coordinates, in the file this is this part:

"x": 235, - horizontal (negative values will push the block to the right side)
"y": 25, - vertical (negative values will push the block to the bottom)
"w": 600, - width
"h": 400, - height

By default, the mod displays the last 3 tanks you damaged. To increase this value, change the following parameter in the same file.

The developers have already used several features of this mod in the game, for example: a reload timer or an improved mini-map from XVM, but adding a damage counter is not yet a priority task. Many tankers want to have this modification, as it is very convenient to know how much damage they managed to inflict during the battle, especially when performing various tasks. Until this is implemented, several effective modifications have been created that allow you to add a damage counter to the combat interface - this is the XVM mod for WOT and a regular damage counter that functions without XVM. It is the last option that we will consider, since the first option does not suit everyone, since in addition to the required modification it adds a set of other various additions, such as: a light indicator, improved markers, a mini-map and other interesting goodies, although it is possible to disable them , but they will still affect the quality of the FPS. Accordingly, there is no point in installing those modifications that you do not plan to use at all, especially if it is possible to install one required modification.

The damage counter, which functions without XVM, does not affect FPS at all and with its addition, you will not receive any other additions. Some versions of the damage log have a minus number (-1400) - this displays the average performance of the current equipment on the server and is used to determine your rating in battle, which you can immediately see. It will be presented in four versions:

The first version, when you press ALT, shows a detailed hit log. For fans of minimalism, there is a very easy damage log that only shows the total amount of damage dealt during the battle.

If you have a weak computer or simply don’t like the XVM mod, but still want to have a damage counter in battle, then feel free to install this modification for yourself.

New modification of the damage counter for WOT 0.9.15.0.1.

Despite the solid selection of different counters, we decided to present a completely updated version, which, in addition to the damage caused, will also show the names of those you destroyed, as well as the number of accurate shots. It is displayed quite minimalistically and neatly. At the same time, it does not affect the FPS at all and is completely compatible with other modifications.

It is installed in the upper left corner and has an excellent settings file, with which you can make the necessary changes, thereby adjusting it completely to your needs.

Setting up the mod

The configuration file can be found in res_mods\0.9.15.0.1\scripts\client\mods\HitlogAnnouncer.json.

We also decided, at the request of players, to return the extended hit log for WOT 0.9.15.0.1.

Blocked + damage dealt.

Several updates ago, we already added a counter for damage dealt and blocked, but after a while we decided to remove it, considering it a slightly different modification. But with the advent of personal combat missions, many players needed this modification. It shows on the screen, in the upper left corner, the amount of damage blocked and dealt.

It is also possible to further configure it in the res_mods\configs\DamageLog.

If suddenly after the installation the counter is not observed, then adjust its location in the file res_mods\0.9.15.0.1\scripts\client\mods\MultiHitLog\CONFIG.json.
