In the game Happy Farm (Funny Farm) players will have to feed hungry animals using their farm. To grow as much wheat and vegetables as possible, you need to think through and distribute the harvest so that there is enough for both animals and for sale. After all, you have to buy seeds at the market.

Game description

Happy Farm is a fun game with simple rules that combines strategic and economic focus. It is built on a tireless spirit of competition in desperate battles to collect crops to feed domestic animals: cute sheep, pigs.

In the board game Funny Farm, each owner of his own farm strives to become the best farmer. In 40 minutes you need to feed your cattle well. Each participant has four very hungry and sad animals: a sheep, a pig, a rabbit, a cow. The personal tablet depicts a vegetable garden where food is grown, and a barn for storing the harvest.

The essence of farming in Funny Farm is planting seeds, harvesting crops and feeding livestock. The surplus of the grown crop is sold at the market to buy new seeds with the proceeds.

What is in the box

The set includes:

  • game tablets – 4 pieces;
  • 59 feed cards (21 hay, 18 clover, 11 carrots, 9 beets);
  • 32 pet cards;
  • 24 feeding cards;
  • play money: 30 coin tokens in denominations 1 and 5;
  • detailed instructions with rules.

Uncle's Funny Farm consists of high-quality components that retain their original condition for a long time. Their quantity will ensure exciting farming for many years.

How to prepare for the game

The preparation is as follows:

  1. Collect and shuffle the fodder cards into a deck.
  2. Place 6 of them face up in the middle of the table, creating a bazaar.
  3. Deal 2 cards from the deck to each participant (taken in hand without showing to other players).
  4. Place the remaining deck next to the bazaar.

Attention! All feeding cards in Funny Farm are played using four opponents. If there are two or three farmers, some should be removed (details are indicated on the last page of the rules).

Each player places in front of him a tablet, 2 coin tokens, one sheep, rabbit, pig and cow card each. There are two cards for each animal: a head and a tail. The remaining coin tokens are placed in the middle of the table - in the bank.

Game progress and rules

The mechanics of the board game Funny Farm are very simple. All actions come down to planting seeds, harvesting crops, feeding livestock, selling excess feed on the market, buying new seeds, and receiving coins from the bank.

The farmer walks in two stages:

  1. Maturing of forage in the fields
  2. Perform two actions

At the first stage, it is necessary to move all the feeding cards on the tablet up to the corresponding season: from “spring” to “summer”, from “summer” to “autumn”. If at the beginning of the turn the food is in “autumn”, the cards must be discarded - the harvest will not be possible.

How to walk

Participants take turns. At the beginning of the game, the animal faces are placed with the “sad” side up with the “-5” mark. After feeding, the card is turned over to the “cheerful” face.

In one turn, you are allowed to perform each of the 6 possible actions once. It is important not only to manage your own farm, but also to look at the farms of your rivals. The winner is the one who has the most well-fed animals at the end of the game. Therefore, grow hay, clover and vegetables, feed sheep and rabbits, sell feed at the market and purchase seeds as actively as possible.

How to feed

First, farmers have to grow food. The tablet represents three seasons: spring, summer, autumn. Planting seeds of wheat, clover, beets and carrots in the garden is carried out in the spring. If the fruits are different, no more than 2 can be planted at a time. Identical seeds can be sown in 3 pieces.

The farmer then moves the seeds up one notch, moving into the next season. It is advisable to harvest the entire crop in the fall. Otherwise, it will disappear by the next turn. The harvested crop must be stored in the barn and subsequently exchanged for feeding cards, for which the whole business was started.

Each animal has a set of 6 food cards. They depict the products needed to obtain a nutrition card. The power card value (1 or 5) is the number of points. The more the card brings, the more products you will have to pay for it. When receiving feed, the farmer places it between the head and tail of the animal.

At first glance everything seems simple

On the Happy Farm, a hectic farm and competitors hungry for victory will not allow a moment of peace. To grow enough food, you need to sell the grown crops at the market and buy new seeds. If the wallet turns out to be completely empty, the farmer goes to the bank for 1 coin.

At first glance, everything seems simple! But the heat is caused by the limited ability to perform actions. In one move, each opponent can only make two out of six.

Who is the game suitable for?

At first it may seem that only a child would want to become the owner of a farm in a board game: simple rules, bright and positive design. But this is only on one side. Happy Farm is a direct analogue of popular online strategies.

This game is what you need for fans of virtual gardening and farming. Perfect for the whole family who prefers to spend evenings together doing useful and exciting things.

Farmer territory

As true farmers, participants are engaged in growing, harvesting and processing crops, caring for domestic animals, and constructing outbuildings. First, each player receives a piece of land on which there are only the most necessary buildings, tools, and plants.

The essence of the game is to expand your own farm, which cannot be done without competent management of the available supplies. The farmers' territory is as close as possible to real life. Each participant decides for himself how to conduct crop and livestock farming. Therefore, the fate of farms depends solely on the strategic decisions and tactical actions of their owners.

In this board game you will compete to be the best farmer. Feeding your livestock is not easy: you have to buy seeds, plant them in the field, harvest... But the reward is worth the trouble: the one whose animals are the most well-fed by the end of the game will be the winner.
