Shaman “Elements. Legion Class Changes: Shaman Vitality in Current Patch

Before the release of Legion, the Enhancement specialization underwent significant changes. Many of the long cooldowns that served as damage limiters in previous expansions have been removed. Now the main limiter is resources. As a result, specialization has become simpler and more flexible, and rotation has significantly accelerated. Its representatives now focus on dealing damage to 1-3 targets, as opposed to the strong AoE damage of Warlords of Draenor. Enkh Shamans can deal high damage in a short period of time and prepare for targets to appear, which adds flexibility to them and allows them to adapt to different raid situations. Even though AoE is not their thing, they are willingly taken into Mythic dungeons for the benefit they can bring to the group.

List of changes to the guide (04/13/17):

  • Enchantments, Food and Consumables: Added recommendation for using peer.
  • Talents: Recommendations for choosing talents in tiers 1, 4 and 6 have been updated.
  • Rotation: Minor changes due to the return of Hail Storms to the rotation.
  • Equipment: Updated descriptions of legendary items from patch 7.2.
  • Brief guide: Minor changes to the standard build and ability priority.
  • Introduction: Added list of changes for patch 7.2.
  • Artifact: Updated for patch 7.2.

The Enhancement Shaman Guide is current for World of Warcraft Legion 7.2. Here's everything you need to know to effectively complete Mythic Expanded raids and dungeons.

Changes in patch 7.2:

Patch 7.2 added new talents for the artifact, including the gold talent Slashing Flames. The effect of the legendary item has been increased to 50%.

Changes in patch 7.1.5:

In patch 7.1.5, the Enhancement specialization was significantly changed (primarily due to the talent tree). Many talents that were traditionally considered weak (such as Overcharge and Air Wrath) have been given new life. Details can be found in the Talents section.

  • Having abandoned long cooldowns, Enkh Shamans use a new resource - the energy of the Whirlpool. Some abilities generate this energy, while others consume it and deal heavy damage.
  • Mana is still used as an additional resource, but it is spent only on spells that have practical value - for example, Dispel Magic and Cleanse Spirit.
  • Thanks to the energy of the Whirlpool, the rotation accelerated significantly and became more unpredictable.
  • Many abilities have disappeared from her - for example, Lightning and Fire Shock.
  • Many totems have been changed or removed. Totems belonging to the same element can now be installed simultaneously. Many totems can be placed at a distance (previously they appeared right under the shaman’s feet).
  • There are new viable options in the talent tree.

2. Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

  • Exceptionally high single target damage
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt to different types of fights
  • Ability to switch between opponents and quickly eliminate priority targets
  • Great benefit for a group or raid

Flaws:

  • Unpredictable behavior Stormbringer
  • Must be close to target to deal damage
  • Lack of strong defensive abilities

3. Viability in the current patch

Shamans with the Enhancement specialization performed well in the Emerald Nightmare and Trial of Valor. The spec is currently considered to be somewhat unreliable due to the fact that Stormbringer triggers randomly. However, such shamans can deal heavy damage to one target and quickly switch between targets.

4. Brief guide

Basics

In Legion, the Enhancement specialization involves active use of Maelstrom energy and a quick response to Storm Herald triggers. In addition, you need to maintain Flametongue and some damage-boosting talent effects.

To successfully play in the Enhancement spec, it is extremely important to be able to manage effects such as Flametongue and Collapse, use Stormstrike on cooldown, and accumulate Maelstrom energy so that you have enough of it when Stormbringer triggers.

Talent Selection

Even though specialization gives the player a little freedom in choosing talents, there is a build that lacks the most complex mechanics. It is suitable for beginners and allows you to learn the basics, but at the same time the possible decrease in performance remains within the statistical error.

  • Level 15: Hot Hand
  • Level 30: Ferocious Blow
  • Level 45: Current Surge Totem
  • Level 60: Ancestral Swiftness
  • Level 75: Buran
  • Level 90: Wrath of Air
  • Level 100: Collapse.

Characteristics

When using this build, the stat priority for an Enhancement Shaman is as follows:

  1. Dexterity
  2. Mastery
  3. Speed
  4. Critical hit
  5. Versatility

The stat priority for the Enhancement specialization is dynamic and depends on item level. Mastery increases the chance of Stormbringer proc. The speed is slightly inferior to it, but these characteristics interact perfectly with each other. Versatility and critical strike are noticeably inferior to speed and mastery, but not so much as to neglect all the objects on which they are present.

Basic Rotation

  • Use Spirit of the Wild Beast to deal more damage.
  • Use Wrath of Air if it is inactive.
  • Use Rock Crusher if you need Whirlpool energy, as well as to maintain the Collapse effect.
  • Use Crush Lightning when there are 2 or more targets.
  • Use Lava Lash during Hot Hand.
  • Use Flame Tongue
  • Use Winds of Doom.
  • Use Stormstrike if available, especially if you have the Stormbringer effect.
  • Use Lava Lash when you have 90 or more units. Whirlpool energy, provided that all other spells are unavailable.

Remember that priorities may change in some situations. For more information, see Rotation.

5. Abilities

This section is intended for those who have just begun to master the specialization. In it we will look at all the available abilities and talk about how they interact with important cooldowns. If you have been familiar with it for a long time and feel comfortable in battle, you can move on to reading other sections.

5.1. Key Resources

5.2. Basic Abilities

These abilities always remain the same, regardless of the choice of talents.

Tier 5 talents (level 75)

Tier 5 talents significantly increase damage from basic abilities.

  • Storm, when the Stormbringer passive ability is triggered, the effect extends to the next two Stormstrikes instead of one.
  • Recharge: Lightning absorbs up to 40 units. Maelstrom energy and deals significantly more damage, but its cooldown increases to 12 sec.
  • Empowered Stormlash extends the Stormlash effect to an additional target and increases damage by 50%.

At low gear levels, the best talent is Recharge. It doesn't require a major change in playstyle, but it does a ton of damage and provides rotation consistency. In terms of efficiency, Reload is comparable to Buran.

As a result, you'll gain talents like Alpha Wolf and Wolves of Doom quite early on, and greatly boost your Feral Spirit. This path was also chosen because Windstrikes is the strongest three-rank talent in the tree. Strong peer-to-peer talents include Lightning Squall and Raging Storm. They both lead to Doom Unleashed. After this, you should take talents in descending order of their strength, leaving the weakest of them (for example, Raging Maelstrom) for the last moment.

New talents from patch 7.2

In patch 7.2, new talents were added, which are unlocked after the player invests 35 points in the development of the artifact. All previous talents received an additional (fourth) rank. After acquiring all the talents, the player can invest points into the infinite talent, Legionbane's Coherence.

The Enhancement artifact has powerful legacy talents that can be upgraded to rank 4 if needed before moving on to new talents. However, we recommend taking the new gold talent, Lashing Flame, as quickly as possible, which provides new build options and enhances some other talents.

  1. Four ranks Crushing Hammer
  2. Fourth rank Wind Strikes
  3. Fourth rank Lava Hardening
  4. Fourth rank Elemental Weapon
  5. Fourth Rank Rippling Wind
  6. Rank Four Raging Maelstrom
  7. Rank 4 Rising Storm
  8. Spiritual Healing, Elemental Healing, and Spirit of the Maelstrom (in any order)

Artifact Ability

The artifact ability of hunters with the Enhancement specialization is called Winds of Doom. Once activated, it increases the damage of all Windfury effects by 200%, with all basic attacks, including off-hand strikes, having a 100% chance of triggering Windfury. This ability provides a significant increase in outgoing damage on demand, and also allows you to generate Maelstrom energy. Additionally, it pairs well with Stormbringer.

Relic Selection

  1. Windstrikes provide the maximum boost to single and multi-target damage thanks to the bonus to Stormbringer every time you use Crash Lightning. If you have a fully upgraded artifact, the bonus to your priority talent is comparable to 3 units. item level.
  2. Lava hardening after purchasing Blazing Flame gives a stable increase in damage, but only if you have Akainu's Absolute Justice (comparable to 1.5 item level units).
  3. Raging Maelstrom is a good alternative provided you have the 4T19 bonus, but after purchasing Wind of Change, Raging Maelstrom drops sharply in price.

All other talents are not very strong, and for them it is not worth sacrificing item level, since weapon damage is very dependent on it.

It is currently unknown whether the Crushing Hammer can be upgraded with relics. If so, this would be a good option for AoE.

To value a relic like this, take the values given above and add to them the difference in item level. For example, if one relic gives you +50 units. to the item level and a bonus to Wind Strikes, its value will be:

50 units item level + 3 units. item level from Wind Strikes = 53 units.

If another relic gives you +51 units. to the item level and a bonus to Lava Hardening, its value will be:

51 units item level + 1.5 units. item level from Lava Hardening = 52.5 units.

As a result, you can conclude that a Windstrike relic is preferable to a Lava Tempering relic, despite the difference in item level.

8. Priority of abilities

For Enhancement, as for other specializations whose mechanics are based on the use of resources, there is a special priority for abilities, but this can change depending on the circumstances. The exact priority for a particular character can only be learned through practice. The rotation described below gives the maximum return if you have an ideal build and new artifact talents.

Rotations for single and multiple targets are very similar. Crush Lightning is in rotation for several targets (the corresponding lines can be toggled on and off by clicking).

  1. Use the Rock Crusher to generate Maelstrom energy and maintain the Collapse effect.
  2. Use Wrath of Air if it is inactive.
  3. Use Wild Beast Spirit Crush Lightning to activate the Alpha Wolf effect.
  4. Use Crush Lightning on 3 or more targets if this effect is not active.
  5. Use Ice Brand to maintain the effect of Hail Storm.
  6. Maintain the Tongue of Flame effect.
  7. Use Crush Lightning on 2 or more targets if this effect is not active.
  8. Use Lightning when you have 50 or more units. Whirlpool energy and talent Recharge.
  9. Use Stormstrike while Stormbringer is active.
  10. Use Wind Song.
  11. Use Winds of Doom Stormstrike.
  12. Use Lava Lash when Hot Hand triggers.
  13. Use Stormstrike on cooldown.
  14. Use Crush Lightning when there are 2 or more targets.
  15. Use the Rock Crusher to gain more than 80 units. Whirlpool energy.
  16. Use Lava Lash when you have 80 or more units. Whirlpool energy.

Most of the damage comes from Stormstrike when Stormbringer is triggered, as well as from Lightning when the Overcharge talent is available. Both spells use a lot of energy, so you must build it up to be able to cast Stormstrike and Lightning Bolt on cooldown. Try not to waste too much energy on Lava Lash and Rock Crusher. As you gain experience, you will begin to predict bursts of energy that are generated primarily actively rather than passively. The ability to react to the Storm Herald trigger and use Lightning on cooldown will significantly increase the outgoing damage and reduce excessive resource consumption.

8.1. Rotation at the beginning of the battle

Even though Enhancement shamans rely more on sustained damage and rotation at the beginning of the fight is not as important for them, we will still present it for the sake of completeness:

  1. Drink a Potion of Lasting Strength
  2. Use the Rock Crusher to generate Maelstrom energy and apply the Collapse effect.
  3. Use Spirit of the Wild Beast.
  4. Use Crush Lightning to activate Alpha Wolf.
  5. Use Tongue of Flame.
  6. Use Winds of Doom and Stormstrike.

Further actions depend on the proc of Stormbringer, but this rotation will give you the opportunity to deal impressive damage and generate enough energy to continue the fight.

8.2. Rotation if there is a 4T19 bonus

With the 4T19 bonus, the build and rotation change slightly towards more active use of resources. Once you've collected the set items, be sure to check out the Talents section and change your build accordingly.

  • AoE with Crash Lightning
  1. Use Heavy Fist to generate Maelstrom energy if this effect is not active or you have two charges.
  2. Use Spirit of the Wild Beast on cooldown. Follow him with Crush Lightning to activate the Alpha Wolf effect.
  3. Maintain the Tongue of Flame effect.
  4. Use Winds of Doom on cooldown, combining with Stormstrike if possible.
  5. Use Stormstrike while Stormbringer is active.
  6. Use Heavy Fist when you have 50 or less units. Whirlpool energy.
  7. Use Stormstrike on cooldown.
  8. Use Lava Lash when you have 70 or more units. Whirlpool energy.

With the bonus from 4T19, the process of managing the energy of the Whirlpool takes on special significance. The build in question involves more frequent triggering of Stormbringer and a small loss of energy due to the restrictions imposed by Heavy Fist. Here are a few more notes on playing with this build:

  • Crush Lightning should not be used on a single target. It would be better to replace it with Lava Lash. Crush Storm is taken only because Heavy Fist does not provide enough resources for Air Wrath, and Crush Lightning triggers the Alpha Wolf effect.
  • As mentioned above, Heavy Fist does not generate too much Maelstrom energy. This forces you to use it more actively and constantly maintain the energy level within 60-110 units to avoid losses.
  • Having accumulated 70 or more units. energy, use Lava Lash to be able to react to Stormbringer if it goes off. This value minimizes the influence of random factors and must be kept in mind at all times.

8.3. Rotation at the beginning of the battle if there is a 4T19 bonus

Since a special build is used in the presence of the 4T19 bonus, the rotation at the beginning of the battle changes significantly:

  1. Drink a Potion of Lasting Strength just before the start of the battle.
  2. Use Heavy Fist to gain a boost and generate Maelstrom energy.
  3. Use Spirit of the Wild Beast.
  4. Use Crush Lightning to activate Alpha Wolf.
  5. Use Ice Brand (if you have the Hail Storm talent).
  6. Use Tongue of Flame to maintain the effect of the same name.
  7. Use Winds of Doom with Stormstrike.
  8. Continue according to the rotation for one target.

The build for holders of the 4T19 bonus differs slightly from the build that was used in patch 7.1, and therefore there is no need to manage numerous effects in the rotation. After the above steps, summon the Spirit of the Wild Beast and follow the rotation for one target, waiting for the Storm Herald to trigger.

9. Important Notes

9.1. Winds of Doom

If you have a high level of items, as well as a 4T19 bonus, you need to switch to Buran in order to use the increased effect of Storm Herald. This returns Shamans to a playstyle centered around Stormstrike.

9.5. Pandemic

Some Enhancement buffs (notably Flametongue and Frostbrand) now follow the Pandemic mechanic, allowing them to be refreshed without loss when there is less than 30% of the buff remaining. The remaining time is added to the new time. The Pandemic mechanic provides flexibility in the process of updating effects. Ideally, you should refresh the above effects during times when Stormbringer and Stormstrike are unavailable. In addition, it is necessary to monitor the Whirlpool energy level and avoid overflow. The spells in question have a 10m radius, so if any boss ability forces you to run away from him, refresh the effects and reduce the negative effects of the downtime. Time frame for updating effects according to Pandemic mechanics:

  • Flame: 4.8 sec.
  • Ice Brand: 4.8 sec.

9.6. Healing Surge

If you have 20 units. Maelstrom energy, Healing Surge absorbs them and is cast instantly. This greatly increases survivability, especially during periods when you are taking significant damage and healers are busy with your other allies. Healing Burst in Enhancement only heals a little, but it's better than nothing! If combat mechanics force you out of range of healers, Healing Surge will come in handy, especially if you have Maelstrom energy to spare.

9.7. Lightning

  • 2 items: Stormbringer increases the critical strike chance of Stormstrike by 40%.
  • 4 items: Lava Lash has a 20% chance to trigger the Stormbringer effect.

The 2T19 bonus directly affects the damage dealt by Stormstrike while Stormbringer is active, increasing the significance of this effect and the Buran talent. The 4T19 bonus increases the frequency of the Storm Herald, and the spell Lava Lash serves as an additional activator for relieving excess energy of the Whirlpool. The total damage increases significantly. Both bonuses eliminate the ability to use the Cooldown talent and force you to focus on Stormstrike.

12. Priority of characteristics for Enkh Shaman in the Legion

The stat priority for the Enhancement shaman is:

  1. Dexterity
  2. Mastery
  3. Speed
  4. Critical hit
  5. Versatility

Mouthguards

Currently, there are no limiting values of characteristics and particularly advantageous relationships between them. However, when simulating, it is necessary to take into account that mastery and speed are approximately equal to each other and can change places depending on the level of the items. Ideally, you should collect as many of them as possible, but equally, because... imbalance will definitely make itself felt.

Dexterity Gives attack power that increases damage dealt.

Speed Increases the frequency of melee attacks and increases the frequency of Stormbringer and Windfury. Speed also has a positive effect on Maelstrom energy generation thanks to the Maelstrom Weapon passive ability. In addition, the cooldowns of Stormstrike, Bleakfist, Crash Lightning, and Flametongue reduce the speed.

Critical hit Increases damage from attacks and spells.

Versatility directly affects damage dealt and reduces incoming damage.

13. Stones

20. How to choose the right equipment

Since the game contains Titan-Forged and Warforged items, it is not possible to create a complete list of priorities, so here is a way to roughly evaluate them using weighting factors. Weighting coefficients may vary depending on the overall level of items, so for a more accurate assessment it is recommended to conduct a simulation for an individual character. In the example under consideration, the coefficients from the previous section of the guide are used.

The simulation was made for a raid build, taking into account the bonus from 4T19 and the average equipment level of 890: At lower equipment levels, secondary characteristics are less important, and their priority may be different.

  • Agility: 1
  • Mastery: 0.91
  • Speed: 0.89
  • Critical Strike: 0.83
  • Versatility: 0.80

By comparing two belts, we can accurately determine which one is better. For example, the Planet Parade Belt has the following stats: 1705 Agility, 577 Critical Strike, and 685 Versatility. So we can calculate its relative value:

577×0.83 + 685×0.80 + 1705×1 = 2731.91

For comparison, it has the following characteristics: 1705 agility, 740 speed and 523 mastery. Relative value is calculated in a similar way:

740×0.89 + 523×0.91 + 1705×1 = 2839.53

Thus, the Duskwatch Crest Belt is superior to the Planetary Parade Belt. However, weighting values may change depending on content, talent selection, and other equipment items. some characteristics interact with each other. The coefficients for the Enhancement specialization are approximately equal to each other, so additional factors become especially important.

21. Legendary items

The Eye of the Twisting Nether, when dealing damage from fire, nature and ice magic, increases what the target receives by 1.5% (in total - by 4.5%). In patch 7.2, Hailstorm was again added to the talent tree, which goes well with Akainu's Absolute Justice, so Eye of the Twisting Nether allows you to maintain all 3 effects without any losses.

Charged Emalon Core increases all damage dealt by 10% when Crash Lightning hits 3 or more targets. This item is used in battles with multiple targets, because... in this case it provides a permanent damage bonus.

21.1. Legendary items from patch 7.1.5

In patch 7.1.5, the game added a new legendary helmet, Imprecise Reminder, which extends the effects of Bloodlust by 75%. As a result, Bloodlust lasts for 70 seconds, which is quite useful, but since the effect is usually used once per battle, the item is not very good overall. It can be used in battles with strict time restrictions, provided that the effect lasts long enough.

Kil'jaeden's Burning Desire is a new accessory that provides a large passive bonus to agility and secondary stats. In addition, it allows you to deal AoE damage every 1.15 minutes. Kil'jaeden's Fervent Desire can be used to deal AoE damage on demand, but since its effect does not scale with secondary stats, it should be avoided if you have other suitable accessories.

21.2. Legendary items from patch 7.2

In patch 7.2, shamans received only one legendary item that can be crafted using a profession. We are talking about the Hunter's Gloves. These gloves have ideal stats and three gem sockets, but are used solely for acceleration outside of combat and are therefore not suitable for dungeons and raids.

22. Competitors in the division of production

When going into a raid or dungeon, you'll be up against the following classes when dividing up the loot.

Welcome to the PVE Elem Shaman guide. This guide is based on statistical data collected from many characters. This guide is simply a tool to help you optimize your character - through understanding which stats and talents are optimal, as well as effective rotation. The largest part of DPS depends on the players themselves - how quickly the player reacts, has a good ping and FPS, as well as the availability of consumables.

Players like to emphasize the value of stats, talents, and equipment levels. They are important, but even the best equipment will not help you achieve high results if you play like jam. This guide will give you a good start in mastering the class, but much of your success is up to you.

pros

  • Excellent single target damage, although a little unpredictable
  • Lossless switch
  • Damage acceleration to a single target through secondary
  • Many unique opportunities for the group, in the form of stuns, slowdowns, dispelling magic from enemies, removing curses from allies

Trait

WoW for Russian players initially existed only in foreign languages, since the native language of the game is English, many terms to this day are formed from the English names of established mechanics and many abilities.

AoE- (from the English Area of Effect) literally - this is the area in which the effect occurs, whether damage is done in this area or healing is performed does not matter. Typically this abbreviation is used as a command to deal damage in a group/raid to multiple targets. It is also used to describe any boss ability with the effect described above.

Buff- positive effect. By default it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its top edge.

Burst— (from the English Burst), an ability that allows you to inflict a large amount of damage in a short time in various ways.

Gir— (from the English Gear) is essentially equipment.

GKD— (short for English Global Cooldown) is the total recovery time of abilities.

Debuff- negative effect. By default it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its bottom edge.

DoT— (from English Damage over Time) is an effect that causes damage over time

DPS— (from the English DPS — Damage per Second) is a value that reflects the damage dealt per second.

Cleve— (from the English Cleave) the ability to inflict damage on secondary targets by inflicting damage on the main target while having no loss (or with minimal loss) on the main one.

Cooldown- (from the English Cooldown, you can often find the abbreviation “CD”, or “kdshki”), the main meaning is the recovery time of the ability. Also often used in relation to bursts or various defensive abilities.

Miles and range zone- (from the English Melee and Ranged, respectively) Miles - means a melee zone, also used to name all classes/specs that deal effective damage directly in this zone. Range (can also be found “range”) usually means a zone that is not a melee zone, and, accordingly, is also used to name all classes/specs that can effectively deal damage from a distance.

Trait— (from the English Trait) the name of the “talents” of your artifact.

Basic Abilities

Offensive Abilities

Talents

General information. As you reach several new levels, new “tiers” of talents will open up for you. In each such line, you can select only one talent at a time. Talents can influence abilities in different ways: add new ones, replace old ones, passively modify various effects and spells. You can change talents while in sanctuaries or in any recreation areas, however, if there are no such places nearby, you can use the “Tome of the Tranquil Mind,” which will allow you to change talents within a minute. Talents cannot be changed in battle. The talent cannot be changed if the talent chosen in this tier is on cooldown; you will first have to wait for it to be restored.

Tier 1. 15lvl

Tier 3. 45 lvl

  • Wolf Spirit . While in Spectral Wolf form, your movement speed is increased by 5% and damage taken is reduced by 5% every 1 sec. The effect stacks up to 4 times.

  • Static discharge . Reduces the cooldown of Condensation Totem by 5 sec. for each enemy he stuns (up to 20 sec).

* The default should be Wolf Spirit , since it is the most effective in terms of survival and speed of movement. In the open world, healing from Earth Shield . Dungeons may require you to stun more often, soStatic discharge It can be useful.

Tier 4. lvl 60

  • Blazing Assault. With a tongue of flame, it leaves a fiery DoT on the target for 6 sec.
  • “Hail Storm”. Ice Brand is now similar to Flame Tongue. While this effect is active, your attacks deal additional Frost damage.

Allies who find themselves in this area will increase their movement speed by 60% for 5 seconds. The effect is updated when you enter its area of effect again. CD 2 minutes.

* To improve survivability, your choice is - Guardian of Nature . If your group or raid needs a sprint, thenWind Gust Totem . Ferocious Lunge if you want burst mobility or the ability to interrupt knockback.

Tier 6. 90 lvl

  • Crushing Storm. Crash Lightning will leave behind a small area for 6 seconds that deals a small amount of Nature damage.
  • Wrath of the Air. Activates a buff that will consume 6 whirlpools per second, dealing Nature damage to all enemies and slowing them by 30% for 3 seconds. Radius 8 meters.
  • Schism. for 20 whirlpools, hit all enemies in front of you, causing them a large amount of damage from the forces of nature and scattering them slightly to the sides from the epicenter.

Azerite traits

Azerite traits are additional enhancements and customization options for your character that are available in three pieces of special armor. Head, shoulders and chest. You won't find any other armor in these slots in Battle for Azeroth.

Your talents and Azerite traits are the two determining factors of your build. Wild Fuse in the amount of 3 synergizes perfectly with Hot Hand, Lord of Totems, Elemental Spirits. If you have several Harmony of the elements, then it’s worth using Hail Storm . Seething Storm is always a good trait, regardless of talents. In addition to them, there are many other non-class traits of this order, for example,An insidious agreement , and there are also traits of the second tier. Among them the most interesting are:

Shaman “Elements” uses the power of fire, earth, air and water in different forms to overcome difficulties along the way. Also, the elem shaman is subject to various representatives of these elements - elementals. Find out about this and other equally important things from our WoW guide.

Introduction

Basic information on spec:

The “Elemental” shaman deals damage from a distance, and like “Enhancement”, he uses 2 types of resource: whirlpool, as the main resource for dealing damage, and mana for auxiliary abilities.

Let's look at the strengths and weaknesses of this specialization:

Pros:

  • Excellent single target DPS
  • Strong AoE
  • The current build allows you not to lose DPS on dashes
  • Average survival
  • Availability of a huge range of useful situational abilities

Minuses:

  • High dependence on Azerite traits
  • Lack of immunity
  • There is no particular uniqueness, it can be easily replaced in a raid by more useful classes

Tier 1. 15lvl

  1. Echo of the Elements
  2. Lord of Totems
  3. Your choice
  4. Lord of the Elements

In addition to them, there are many other traits of this order, for example,An insidious agreement , and there are also traits of the second tier. Elemental Shaman PvE guide for Elem Shaman 7.2.5 (Legion)

Elem Shaman Guide 7.2 Legion

The guide is adapted for patch 7.2.5.

Hyde By To the shaman in the specialization " Elements» will contain the basics of mechanics and other most necessary information that you need to know to successfully master the class. We will not dwell on a detailed description of talents and abilities and other not so important points; this will turn the guide into a bunch of boring text and thereby reduce the perceptibility of truly important information. If after studying the guide you still have any questions, or you just want to discuss the finer points of the game Elem Shaman, then you can use the Shaman | forum section at any time. Game portal 1n-GAME, where more experienced players can answer your questions and give important tips and tricks.

  • Raid food and flasks

General information:
Elem Shaman
In the game, he specializes in dealing damage from a distance. He is capable of dealing good AoE damage and good single target damage. Thanks to his abilities, he can inflict high damage both to a priority target and to those standing nearby. This makes him a very unique fighter who excels in both regular dungeons and higher-difficulty raid dungeons.
Like other classes, we have both our pros and cons.
Pros:

  • High damage to one target.
  • High damage to 2-3 targets.
  • Good AoE damage.
  • Capable of delivering very high damage at the right moment.
  • Good mobility.
  • Useful abilities for a raid.

Minuses:

  • Quite a complicated rotation.
  • Damage dealing is highly dependent on movement.
  • Survival rate is below average.

Legion changes:
With the release of the legion Shaman in the specialization " Elements"has undergone quite a lot of changes.

Talents:

At the time of writing this guide, there are several playable builds in the game Shaman's Elem. The build we presented above is the most optimal and common. It is suitable for both high-difficulty raid dungeons and normal dungeons and solo play. In the future in the guide, we will focus on this particular build option due to its versatility and requirements. We recommend using the above build option. But if you are already quite experienced and know your class well, then you can choose other options.

But separately, we will still consider several builds, and the circumstances under which they will be most effective.

Build with Frost Fury - Spell - World of Warcraft.

This build may be suitable for players who have several legendary items. Not counting Proto-Drakescale Girdle - Item - World of Warcraft. This build is suitable for both single-target damage and AoE damage.

Build with Rebirth - Spell - World of Warcraft.
This build is best suited for those who have the legendary Proto-Drakescale Belt - Item - World of Warcraft. But this build also has its own subtleties; the choice of talents will depend on the current encounter, more precisely on the number of targets.
One goal:

Multiple goals:

Build for farming keys in mythic dungeons.

The only purpose of this build is to farm chests for the key from mythic dungeons. It's unlikely to be suitable for solo play or raiding.

Artifact and Relic Abilities:
Like all other classes in the game, when you receive an Artifact Weapon, it immediately adds one new ability to us. U Shaman's Elem This is Stormkeeper - Spell - World of Warcraft. In the future, by upgrading your Artifact, you will improve your existing abilities.

When choosing a relic, you should always focus on the level of the relic, and not on the bonus from it. Replacing a relic with a higher level with a lower level because of a bonus only makes sense if the difference in the level of the relic does not exceed 3 units. The relic directly affects the level of the artifact, so the higher its level, the higher the basic stats of your artifact, and this is much more important than the bonus from the relic.

If you have several relics of approximately the same level, then you should stick to the priority of the upgradeable talents.

  1. Lava Seal - Spell - World of Warcraft is the best option regardless of the talents you choose.
  2. Lava Splash - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  3. Call Thunder - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  4. Unite with the Earth - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  5. Firestorm - Spell - World of Warcraft.

Artifact Talents:
In fact, Shaman's Elem There is no mandatory direction in pumping the Artifact. You can choose any path depending on what abilities you need most. But the above scheme allows you to evenly increase the damage dealt to both one target and several, and when using the option we have given for choosing talents, it will be the best.
Immediately after receiving the artifact, start pumping it up according to the diagram below.

After you complete the chain of quests and the artifact unlocks additional talents, continue to upgrade it further according to the diagram below.

Feature priority:
The stat priority will depend on the build you choose.

The build we presented with Rebirth - Spell - World of Warcraft:

  1. Intelligence
  2. Mastery up to 86.5%
  3. Critical hit
  4. Speed
  5. Versatility

Ice Fury Build - Spell - World of Warcraft:

  1. Intelligence
  2. Critical Strike = Mastery
  3. Speed
  4. Versatility

Build for farming mythics:

  1. Intelligence
  2. Speed
  3. Critical hit
  4. Mastery
  5. Versatility

Rotation:

Damage to one target:

  1. We use Fire Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft if the target does not have a debuff from the ability. It is worth using if we have a charge of Focus of the Elements - Spell - World of Warcraft and 20 or more units of Whirlpool energy.
  2. Use Fire Elemental - Spell - World of Warcraft. It should be used in such a way that at the moments when bursts are being experienced, the ability is not on cooldown. Therefore, anticipate in advance the moments when it is best to use it.
  3. We use Elemental Spirit Strike - Spell - World of Warcraft on CD.
  4. We use Earth Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft when the Whirlpool energy is 92 or more units.
  5. We use Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft if there are 2 stacks and we are affected by Lava Wave - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  6. To use Rebirth - Spell - World of Warcraft you need to try according to the CD, but you should understand that for maximum effect we must be stationary during its effect.
  7. We use Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft if we have a buff from the Power of the Whirlpool - Spell - World of Warcraft, but do not have two stacks of Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  8. We use Earth Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft if 86 or more units of Whirlpool energy have been accumulated and there is no Lava Wave - Spell - World of Warcraft proc.
  9. We use Storm Keeper - Spell - World of Warcraft if all 3 stacks of Whirlpool Power - Spell - World of Warcraft are used up.
  10. We use Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  11. To fill out the rotation, you can use Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft.

Damage to 2 targets:

  1. We use rotation for one purpose with minor changes.
  2. We cast and maintain Fire Shock on both targets - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  3. Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft is replaced with Chain Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft.

Damage to 3 or more targets:

  1. We try to use and maintain Fire Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft on the priority target and 1-2 others.
  2. Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft is used only when procing Lava Wave - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  3. We use Earthquake - Spell - World of Warcraft with 50 or more units of Whirlpool energy. The effect of the ability is cumulative. If you have Echoes of the Great Schism - Item - World of Warcraft and the Bloody Alliance of the Tempter - Item - World of Warcraft, we use the energy of the Whirlpool for Earth Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft if the battle is with 2-3 targets.
  4. We use Chain Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft to generate Whirlpool energy.

Let's consider the option of starting the boss fight correctly.

  1. 2 seconds before the pool, we summon the Fire Elemental - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  2. Drink a Potion of Lasting Strength - Item - World of Warcraft.
  3. We use Lightning - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  4. Use Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft 2 times.
  5. We use Elemental Spirit Strike - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  6. Use Fire Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft.
  7. If available, we test Trini and racial abilities.
  8. We use Rebirth - Spell - World of Warcraft and under its influence we use Lava Burst - Spell - World of Warcraft several times. If the CD on Elemental Spirit Strike - Spell - World of Warcraft has rolled back, then use it.
  9. We use Earth Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft only after the end of the Rebirth - Spell - World of Warcraft action.
  10. We continue rotation for one goal.

Chants:

Cloak:
Rings:

Stones:
In one socket, be sure to insert the Eye of the Saber-Tooth Intellect - Item - World of Warcraft; the rest we plug in the Deadly Eye of Prophecy - Item - World of Warcraft.

Raid food and flasks:
From infusions we use - Infusion of Secret Agreement - Item - World of Warcraft
From potions we use - Potion of lasting strength - Item - World of Warcraft
For food we use - Energy Ribs - Item - World of Warcraft or a better option Hungry Master - Item - World of Warcraft.
Also, don’t forget to maintain the buff from Corrupted Enhancement Rune.

Guide Shaman of the Elements (Elemental Shaman) PVE 7.2

Welcome to the Shaman guide, an Elemental specialization in the World of Warcraft Legion universe, which will allow you to make the most of the DPS of this type in PvE battle. We offer an alternative interpretation of standard class guides; all our recommendations are based on pure statistics and data personally obtained in simulated situations.

The lion's share of success in consistently using maximum damage (DPS) still depends on the players themselves. Actions such as speed and adequacy of reaction in unexpected skirmishes, flawless execution of rotations, good FPS and quick response, optimal consideration of recovery time and character needs are significant factors influencing the success of the game as a whole. This guide is just a tool that helps in optimizing your character by understanding which stats and talents are most effective, as well as suggesting the best way to use them. We tried to compose the material so that it is easy to use and does not contain unnecessary information, so at any time you can return to WoW and continue what you love, armed with new, only useful information.

Players usually like to rely on the strength of their character's stats, talents, etc. But all this is not so important, but until you have become a master of the game in your class, only then the advantages of the hero can fully manifest themselves, supported by the knowledge of how to really use them. This guide will add about 5% of your success, but the remaining 95% depends only on you!

Feature Priority

Intelligence

Increases magic damage and healing from your spells.

Mastery

Mastery grants a passive bonus to the character based on the chosen specialization. Mastery: the disturbance of the elements gives the hero spells such as Lightning, Chain Lightning, Lava Burst, etc., there is also a possibility that the spell can be used again, albeit with less damage, but with the generation of Whirlpool energy.

Critical hit rating (crit)

Crit increases the chance of causing increased damage during an attack or spell, and also has a positive effect on recovery.

Speed (hasta)

Speed increases attack and spell speed, as well as periodic damage or healing (DoTs and HoTs) and reduces GCD (global cooldown)

Versatility

Versatility increases your damage, healing, and absorption, and reduces the impact of damage taken.

Distribution of characteristic weights

Stones and charms

The recommendations below for stones, enchantments, and consumables are based on previous guides. Don’t forget that we try to put together the most effective combinations, and also offer alternative options in case the player is short on funds.

Stones

So, the top 3 best options for stones, according to the distribution of weights of the character characteristics of the current guide and the object itself.

Enchant Neck

Despite the fact that the overall effectiveness of the Sign of the Invisible Satyr is higher than the Sign of the Distant Host, the latter shows itself much better when dealing AoE damage. So, if your goal is to inflict more significant damage in a general fight, use the Sign of the Distant Troops.

Enchant Cloak

Enchanting a cloak allows you to increase your main stat, so using them is a must!

Enchant Rings

3 options in descending order of effectiveness, based on feature priorities.

Consumables

Infusions

Food

When attacking a single target, the best DPS will be given by Fishrul's Signature Dish, but you can also use this menu:

Potions

The potion can only be used once per fight, the only option to use it twice is to drink one before the fight and one during the fight.

Rune

Runes can be used in conjunction with potions and are a great way to boost your stats during a raid.

Talents and Build

Below is a talent build for the Elemental Shaman class, compiled according to SimulationCraft data. There are many options for effective talent combinations; here is our recommendation, which the editors consider optimal. However, it is recommended to study each of the components before using the build, much less changing it. First you need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your character - this is the surest way to create an effective build.

If you want to get acquainted with each talent in more detail, here is the link to the build on Wowhead (will open in a new tab).

Rotation

This section will tell you how to optimally use the characteristics of the Elemental Shaman class to inflict maximum damage on the enemy in any situation. We will tell you what you need to concentrate on, but once again we draw your attention - the rotation guide is not a panacea and is not a guarantee of maximum damage, a lot depends on the speed of your connection and computer, your correct and timely reaction and simply your experience of the game. However, these are useful guidelines.

Single Target Rotation

DPS Priorities: Use the sequence below to achieve optimal DPS

  1. Use Fire Shock to hit a target if you have 20 points of Maelstrom energy.
  2. Earth Shock if you have more than 90 Maelstrom Energy.
  3. Release lava whenever possible. Be careful when using it, it can develop into a Lava Wave.
  4. Lightning, when other spells are depleted and to accumulate Whirlpool Energy.

AOE Rotation

  • See single target rotation;
  • Use Earthquake on 3 or more targets;
  • Replace Lightning with Chain Lightning on 2 or more targets, and this will also give you the opportunity to accumulate Maelstrom energy points.

Effective cooldowns

Here are effective cooldowns that can be used in any situation.

  • Bloodlust on the command of the raid leader, use only in raids.
  • Fire Elemental is used to get more DPS.
  • Use Storm Keeper on cooldown to deal extra damage.
  • Rebirth, use on recovery to deal extra damage, will give the execution of the normal rotation an extra ability (if chosen).
  • Elemental Mastery on cooldown to generate increased damage (if selected)
  • Support Totem Mastery whenever possible (if selected).

Upgrading the Fist of Ra-den artifact

Below is a recommended path for distributing the accumulated artifact energy, recommendations based on SimulationCraft tables. The goal of this action is to improve the character's weapon with each stage passed to achieve the highest DPS, so each step is very important, because correcting a wrong move will take considerable time. Each stage is marked with a different color, as can be seen in the diagram below. In some cases, it is necessary to add characteristics from different areas, at these moments it doesn’t matter in what order they are added - they are equivalent, the main thing is to do this before you carry out the next step.

If you want to get acquainted with each stage in more detail, here is the leveling link on Wowhead (will open in a new tab).
