Let's start with the plot. Here it is limited only by the animus - a futuristic computer that can study a person’s genetic memory. The role of the test subject is once again played by Desmond Miles, a descendant of assassins whose genetic memory is used by the animus to the fullest. This time Desmond went to the 18th century and learned about such a person as Edward Canway. Canway is a freedom-loving pirate. His life is filled with events, entertainment and travel. As a result of a certain set of events that befell him, the main character finds himself involved in the eternal confrontation between the Assassins and the Templars.

The plot in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is executed in a concept familiar to the series. There are many characters here, the narration is unobtrusive, there is meaning and a clear, interesting script. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag also retains the funky historicism inherent in the franchise, which gives an even more positive tone to the single-player campaign, which tells about the West Indies during the 18th century. The pirate theme, through which the entire plot slips, played a certain role and added atmosphere. But it is worth noting that a more obvious bias towards the theme of piracy was expected, and it, unfortunately, is built in the context of a slightly boring confrontation between assassins and Templars, in which Ubisoft scriptwriters flatly refuse to somehow develop the intrigue and are limited only to lengthy ideas with the eternal war for total superiority over the world order.

As for the gameplay, in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag it consists of a bunch of old, new, catastrophically unnecessary and brilliant. This is no longer a stealth action game with a semblance of an open world, but a game that could well exist as a full-fledged RPG. Unfortunately, the developers have not turned Black Flag into at least some semblance of a coherent RPG and the huge world is characterized by little interactivity, and it was made, to put it roughly, for the sake of completeness of textures. Assassin's Creed 4 is made with high quality only in places where the player must visit. Linear levels and tasks attract more attention than a huge one with a lot of unnecessary space and little interactivity. The idea of ​​a sandbox in Black Flag is suppressed by genre costs. As a result, we gamers received a strange symbiosis of excellent action and terrible sandbox. Assassin's Creed 4 stepped on the same rake in terms of creating a gaming environment as the third part. The series needs to return to its roots with a small open world, or move into the RPG genre. Otherwise, players will again get something transitory and meaningless.
Among the innovations, it is certainly worth noting the excellent idea of ​​naval battles and a personal ship. Spectacular combat, crazy parkour and stealth also provide great entertainment, but the emphasis in Black Flag was shifted in favor of, so to speak, aquatic gameplay. Marine gameplay combines dynamism and thoughtfulness. Salvos of guns, boardings, sea voyages, a special pirate atmosphere - everything is done in terms of naval gameplay in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag perfectly and there is nothing to add here. It's worth trying.

Among the content goodies, it is worth noting the campaign for Aveline, the heroine of the game Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, released for the PlayStation Vita. This short campaign literally attacks the player with top-notch action, which helps distract from the sometimes dragging main single-player narrative with Edward.

Ubisoft simply didn't have enough time for multiplayer in Black Flag. One mode where you need to hunt other players. Is it worth attention? More likely no than yes.

The developers from Ubisoft were able to visualize Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag at the highest level. Animation, effects, landscapes, a stable picture with a comfortable amount of FPS, excellent optimization, textures, design, perhaps there is practically nothing to complain about here. The game looks great and modern on both consoles and PC. There are a lot of polygons, the picture does not slow down. Everything is technologically advanced and tasteful.

The music in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is also excellent. As for the background music and little things (the sound of guns cracking, running and other minor actions), everything here sounds harmonious and pleasant. Localization also did not disappoint. The Russian-language version of the game is professionally voiced, which is incredibly pleasing.

Assassin's Creed once again proved to the whole world that annual game series can and should be of high quality, and games with an emphasis on a single-player campaign feel good in the online-mobile era of gaming. Pirates, ships, assassins, Templars, versatile gameplay, tons of polygons, pleasant soundtrack - everything here is done to perfection. The main problem with Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag lies in the fact that the game has completely lost its charisma and is no longer something unique. Depending on the size of the enemy ship, additional goals appear: destroy a certain number of soldiers of the enemy captain, spies on the masts, blow up barrels of gunpowder, or tear down the flag. Follow the highlighted targets to the eavesdropping location, jumping from roof to roof and climbing trees. Hire dancers at the location and stay in the area until the conversation ends.

From the conversation it turns out that sugar and other things are kept in a lock. We approach the wooden platform and follow the captain. The best way to get inside is to climb onto the boxes to the left of the main entrance and get inside through the roof. We jump into the hay and wait for the captain. Having taken the key, we get out. You need to get into the fort prison.

You can recruit dancers again, distract the guards at the main entrance and get inside. But there is an easier and shorter way. There is a tree to the left of the entrance. We climb onto it and jump over to the wall of the prison. Along the outside we climb to the left to the wall next to which our marker is located.
