We remind you that in its current form, the Pokemon Go Raid system consists of 5 levels (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 and Tier 5), on each of which the player will face their own bosses. The higher the raid level, the stronger the boss. By the way, in our area they are usually divided into 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-star (the number of stars corresponds to the level of the monster).

5-star supposedly also already exists, although no one has climbed so high in Pokemon Go Raid yet. What's more, the 5-Star Bosses are exactly the same Legendary Pokémon that the public has been craving for a year now, and that Niantic has been carefully hiding from everyone.

From ordinary (and unusual) Pokemon in the gyms, raid bosses differ primarily in strength, and at levels above the third - simply STRENGTH. And if at first you can normally deal with them on your own, then the further you go, the more assistants and with stronger Pokemon you will need. Agree, dumping yourself, for example, Tyranitara from CP 34707 is pure fantasy.

Moreover, the raid battle is strictly limited to 3 minutes, during which you can only attack, you simply don’t have time to beckon, beautifully avoiding enemy attacks.

We will not talk about the rewards and other goodies that you are entitled to for each victory over the raid boss in this post. What is a raid?

The Raid is a team-based adventure where Trainers take on an incredibly powerful Pokémon. A few hours before the start of the raid, a raid egg appears in a random gym. At the end of the timer, a raid boss hatches from it. An hour is given to defeat him, during which you can make an unlimited number of attack attempts. Each attempt cannot exceed 170-300 seconds (depending on the difficulty of the boss). The player is rewarded for winning unique items and the ability to catch a smaller copy of the boss.
To participate in the raid, you need a special item - a raid pass, it is obtained for free once a day from scrolling through any gym or bought in a store. You cannot have more than 1 raid pass of the same type at the same time.

There are 5 raid difficulty levels. Levels 1-2 are obtained from a pink egg, 3-4 from a yellow one, level 5 from a blue one. So far, only 1-4 levels of raids are available.

Level 4 raids

4 strong players will defeat any boss of 4 difficulty levels. Regular players are advised to gather in groups of at least 6 people. The most interesting are Lapras, Snorlax and Tyranitar.

Rare Candy- can turn into 1 candy of any Pokemon. It is optimal to save up before the introduction of legendaries, because. there are no other ways to get a lot of sweets. It can also be used to get Blissie Candy or other very rare but powerful Pokémon.

Golden Razz Berry("caviar", "golden raspberry") - an increased chance of catching a pokemon (compared to its red version) or a complete restoration of the motivation of a pokemon in the gym. Optimal use - catching rare and prize Pokémon, older forms. So far, the full motivation recovery feature is relatively useless.

ChargedTM- Changes the "ult" to any other "ult" that the pokemon can have. Cannot give Legacy an attack (a legacy attack is an attack that a Pokémon could have previously evolved or caught, but now can't). Cannot give the attack that the Pokémon already had.

FastTM- Changes the fast attack to any other that the Pokémon can have. Cannot give Legacy an attack. Cannot give the attack that the Pokémon already had.

The optimal use of TM is to change the attacks of the best IV or CP Pokémon that did not receive optimal attacks during evolution. You can get a maximum of 4 TM in one battle.

How to get more items? The higher the raid level, the greater the ultimate reward. So it is recommended to spend raid passes only on level 4 raids. There are no exact ranges, but the number of useful items for completing a level 4 raid is on average 4 times more than for completing a level 1 raid.

After defeating the boss, the game calculates the number of Premium Orbs that will be allocated to you in order to catch the prize Pokémon. Premium balls have a catch bonus somewhere between a regular pokeball and a greatball. You cannot use any other balls while catching a prize Pokémon. Once the premium balls run out, the Pokémon will run away. If you catch a Pokémon before you run out of Premium Orbs, the excess will disappear.

Defeat Boss- 5 balls are always given for defeating the boss. If you see this window, then you have already received your 5 balls.

Damage- the more damage you dealt, the more balls you get. This way you can calculate the most useful coach.

Gym Control- members of the team that controlled the gym at the time the egg appeared in the gym receive 2 balls.

There are free and paid. A free raid pass can be obtained by scrolling through any Gym. You can get exactly 1 per day and only if there is no other raid pass. Thus, you can use 2 free raid passes in 1 day: first spend yesterday's raid pass, and then spin the gym and get today's one. The raid pass gives access to the entire raid for the duration of the raid. Error? Lost? Did you come out yourself? Until the raid timer runs out, you don't need to spend a new raid pass. If you fail to defeat the boss, the raid pass is not refundable. A new raid pass is given after 23:00.

There are also legendary raid passes. They will be given out to the most active fighters and they will be necessary for the battle with the legendary Pokémon.

You can lose all of your Pokémon in battle, leave the battle, recruit a new team, and return to battle with it.

If the game crashed at the end of the battle, but before the capture of the prize Pokémon, return to the gym, they will let you catch it.

The raids operate from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time. After 21:00 no new raids appear. Try not to delay raids until late in the evening.

Set aside "raid" days. It is optimal to raid every 2 days. You will have one free raid pass from the previous day, one raid pass for this day, and 100 coins to buy a premium pass from gyms in 2 days. This way you will be able to consistently raid without going into the red, and free up part of the days for something else.
