Dear World players of Tanks!

Yesterday, Wargaming.fm radio hosted the "Developer's Hour" program, within which the implementation of the "Sandbox" mode was discussed in detail. At what stage is this World of Tanks project now and will the server be launched for the majority of players soon? About these and other questions right now: - We already got the first impressions, collected feedback, got acquainted and sent it to development.

"Sandbox" World of Tanks

- We will not rush anywhere, when we understand what suits everyone, we will release to the base, when ready.
- Initially, there were two waves of invitations, those people whom we chose ourselves, this is our initiative and the second - applications on the portal. Main criterion the presence of a tank of the tenth level.
- Yes, in Sandbox there are players who don't have top ten, but there are very few of them.
- Applications are constantly reviewed.
- The second wave has already started.
- There are no limits yet, but we must respect a certain number of people on the server.
- Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- In the future, we will change the recruitment criteria.
- We did not have the task of killing or nerfing this or that class, we had the task of making another, in general, balance.
- It's too early to talk about LBZ processing, now it's the earliest stage of balancing. Of course, there will be changes if needed.
- Additionally, we will send questionnaires to participants Sandboxes.
- On this server, we plan to test other features, but now only the balance.
- Now there is a limit of 3 Arta per side on the test server (on this moment). The balancer tries to pick it up that way.
- A bunch of LT-ACS will not go anywhere, now LTs will have a better equipment.
- Now we are balancing at 10 levels, at 6-7, for example, it will be possible to get there, but later.
- The main task for ST was the following: In order for ST to stop punching TT in the forehead from 400+ meters, we want to return the role that was before.
- The rebalance will affect the economy, but it will be later, at the final stage + another bonus for tanking.
- Regarding the sound of stun (debuff) there is negative feedback, but all these sounds and icons are preliminary, they will still change more than once, especially the performance characteristics of tanks.
- “Serbogold” is disabled in the Sandbox in order to collect good feedback, however, all changes on Sandbox we consider as potential.
- Those who received invitations will not be kicked out.
- When selecting applications, we do not look at age.
- We are thinking about encouraging testers Sandboxes.
- We are still experimenting with the stun time.

About the imminent launch of a separate test server "Sandbox", on which we will test a new one together with the players world balance of tanks. This server will allow us to get your opinion on upcoming changes faster, and you will have more opportunities to influence our decisions.

What is "Sandbox"?

The Sandbox is a separate test server where developers and players will work on a new balance of World of Tanks vehicles. But this does not mean at all that these changes will soon appear on the main game servers.

Testing in the Sandbox will begin this summer, we can’t reveal details yet, but you will definitely be able to familiarize yourself with the changes for Tier X vehicles at the very beginning of testing.

How to get into the "Sandbox"?

What are the selection criteria?

Not everyone will get access to the test server. The criteria for selecting participants depend on the tasks of a particular stage of testing, but the goal remains the same - to invite players who are not indifferent to the fate of their favorite game and are interested in close cooperation.

How do I know if my application has been approved?

Tankers with access to test server, learn about it from several sources:

a letter to the mailbox associated with the account;
notification in the game client.

We will need time to process applications and determine the number of invited test participants. It is planned that the first wave of invitations will take place in mid-June.

Access to the test server can be terminated or limited at any time for non-compliance with the provisions of the User Agreement, and other rules of Wargaming. Restrictions for actions performed while playing on the test server can be transferred to the player's main account.
