That is why he considers himself the best warrior of the entire continent.

The ebony warrior went through many battles and fights and emerged victorious in each. Whatever the enemy, he always found a way out and fought the enemy. And now, when all the glorious deeds have been accomplished in Tamriel, when there is not a single worthy opponent left, he decides to challenge the glorious warriors of the whole world and go to Sovngarde - the abode of warriors who died in battle with honor and courage in their hearts.

But for this purpose he must die. And this must be done not just bowing your head before the enemy, but with honor and dignity. And for this sole purpose, an ebony warrior arrives in Skyrim and is looking for Dovakin - the only possible worthy opponent.

Long-awaited meeting

As soon as your hero reaches level 80, an encounter with an ebony warrior can occur at any random location. Here, during the dialogue, you can find out who he is and what he needs. He will ask you for one single thing - a brave duel with him. After talking with him, a new quest will be added to the journal.

In order not to suffer with how to get the "Ebony Warrior" quest, let's clarify a few important points for reaching the event:

1. The level of pumping of your hero must be at least level 80.
2. You must have the Dragonborn add-on installed.

What is special about Skyrim? The ebony warrior is most often found in large cities - Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude and other large settlements, as well as in the open spaces of the province. Therefore, in order to increase the chance of meeting him, it is recommended to visit more " fresh air”, and not spend time exterminating evil spirits in the caves.

"Last Post"

After receiving the quest, the marker will point to the mountains of Velothi, the very ones in which Skuldafn is located with a portal to Sovngarde. The location where the ebony warrior will be waiting for you will be called "Last Post".

This region cannot be called complete. All that is available here is a tent that crushed a skeleton, a book and a couple of skulls in the area. It is noteworthy that if you show up here before taking the quest, then you will be met by a random enemy (evil or beast), and if after the victory - a dead snow troll.

It is worth taking into account that quite a lot of evil spirits live in these parts, which can undermine your health and spend your elixirs. Therefore, it is worth going here thoroughly prepared.

Duel

The fight with the ebony warrior promises to be one of the most difficult for your entire stay in the province of Tamriel. After all, this enemy has a whole set of skills, abilities and a set of powerful armor:

• it absorbs half of the fire, frost and electric damage without harm to health;
• absolutely invulnerable to poisons and;
• has a high rate of health recovery;
• possesses the power of Thu'um, in particular the shouts "Ruthless Force" and "Disarmament";
• owns many spells that allow him to summon daedras, atronachs and instantly restore health;
• Has a 10% chance to deflect incoming hits.

In addition, he is armed with a vampire blade, which, with each hit, absorbs 25 health points from the hero and transfers them to the ebony warrior. In view of all of the above, the question of how to defeat the ebony warrior is quite obvious.

To do this, it is best to stock up on an impressive amount of potions for the regeneration of health and stamina. It is recommended to assign them to hotkeys. Let's not forget armor. A great help can be the cry "Incarnation of the Dragon" with all the words learned. Using it will increase your armor, increase your damage, and increase your screams.

Don't waste time preparing. Once an ebony warrior is slain, you will receive a ton of useful items, including his armor, shield, sword, as well as the title of the best fighter on the entire continent.

Ebony Warrior

The Ebony Warrior is the most inaccessible mini-boss in Skyrim due to the fact that you need to reach level 80 to meet him. He also told me that Dovakin had already appeared and began to follow the path of his destiny. I did not wait long and immediately went to Skyrim. First of all, I went to the city of Whiterun. There I found the Prancing Mare tavern and asked the people about Dovakin. Everyone knew him, but no one knew where he was. I left the tavern and decided to go to another city. When I was already near the exit from the city, the gate opened and a man entered. I knew right away that this was who I was looking for. He was a Nord, he looked to be in his forties, he had blond hair and green eyes, he also wore a medium-sized beard. He had armor on dragon scales, most interesting part armor was a helmet, which was decorated with four horns. I told him that I wanted to die with honor and that it was possible only in a fight with him. He agreed to accept my challenge. I told him to get ready and went to my last post. He did not make me wait long and arrived a quarter of a day later than me. He held a crossbow in his hands and aimed at me. I managed to hide behind a shield, but it turned out to be an explosive bolt, it didn’t do much damage to me, but it was followed by another one, then another and another, suddenly the attacks stopped, and my opponent approached me quite close and quickly pulled out the blade. I was shocked when I saw it, because it is the legendary Mirunes razor, which means that any blow can be fatal for me. I decided to use the shout and knock this terrible weapon out of the hands of the enemy. - Zun Khal Vik! - I shouted and a terrible weapon fell out of the hands of the enemy, he was not surprised for a second by my knowledge of dragon cries and therefore was able to escape from my counterattack immediately after the cry. - Fus Ro Yes! Dovakin shouted and I was thrown back with terrible force, he took advantage of this to get a weapon and get close to me, his ruthless power far exceeded my power, but still I was able to find the strength in myself to get up quickly enough and parry the blow. We got into a fight. His attacks were quite fast, but I managed to defend myself. My opponent did not use a shield and I considered this as an advantage over him. But still, he hit me first, it was just a scratch in the thigh. Then I also wounded him, piercing his right shoulder. And yet he continued to fight, ignoring the wound. I decided to push the enemy back with another shout. - Fus Ro Yes! - we shouted at the same time, I was thrown to the edge of the mountain, and he was thrown onto the rocks. I got to my feet first and saw how my opponent, getting up, threw his sword aside and went to me. I decided to answer his challenge and also got rid of the weapon. Fist fight with Dovakin was beyond all expectations. He was very strong and quickly figured out my weak side, namely that I defend poorly on the left. Using this knowledge, he was able to carry out a series of quite powerful attacks on me, the blows in the liver area were especially unpleasant. But this did not stop me from using my advantage over him - his injured shoulder. During his next attack, I was able to dodge and wring his arm, and then move on to choke. Dovakin had already begun to lose consciousness, but a friend began to become furious and try to free himself from my capture, I could no longer hold him. I already understood what was happening and decided to use the spells of ebony armor and the summoned sword. My opponent has turned into a werewolf. These creatures are very strong and fast, but fortunately, in order to continue to remain in their beast form, they need to feed quite often. All I had to do was hold out until I turned back. The attacks of the beast were very fast, I did not always have time to dodge or hide behind a shield. Saved me from the missed blows magic armor. But when the spell ended, he hit me in the chest and I flew off a few meters. I already thought that I would not have time to get up, but I was lucky and it was at that moment that the reverse transformation began. Dovahkiin, like me, is already exhausted. It seems that turning into a beast has some negative effect per person. He fell on the snow and, breathing heavily, looked at me. I tried to get up, but I could no longer do it and my opponent understood this. Having rested a little, he got to his feet, took out a crossbow from behind his back and, approaching me, fired the last shot. My soul has left my body. After my murder, he lay down in the snow and thought about something for a while. Then he got up, collected all his weapons and went on to meet adventures. Now this is his story.

Walkthrough

After the character reaches level 80, a meeting in a random location with the Ebony Warrior, who considers himself the best warrior in all of Tamriel, may occur. Having adequately prepared, you should go to the camp of the warrior "Last Post" in the mountains of Velothi. He does not want to start the first battle, he will have to provoke him, or attack after a conversation in the city.

Duel

The Ebony Warrior can prove to be a very difficult opponent because:

• It has 50% resistance to all elements.
• Immune to paralyzing, freezing and immobilizing spells/shouts.
• Has armor with powerful enchantments.
• Has a very high health regeneration rate.
• Able to use the Unrelenting Force and Disarm Shouts.

If the duel takes place on a rock, then it is worth using the Shout "Ruthless Force" - a fall from a height will cause very serious damage ... moreover, to both opponents.

For melee fighters, learning the Living Hammer ability in the Block skill tree will be extremely useful. This ability will allow you to constantly knock down the Ebony Warrior with the help of a push with a shield and deal damage to him with impunity while he rises (however, you need to watch your stamina level).

In addition, you can use Mehrunes' Razor, which gives a small chance to instantly kill the enemy.

If the protagonist is a magician or an archer, then the spell "Call Arnel's Shadow" will help to defeat the Ebony Warrior. Arnel's shadow is invulnerable, so it can distract the enemy for a long period of time. The hero can freely attack from a distance while the Warrior is busy with the summoned shadow.

Notes

Bugs
