At the twentieth level, each swordsman receives a quest for a profession. After you have successfully done it, you have the opportunity to choose your character. This will be useful to those who decide to go over to the side of evil and take the dark knight.

The Dark Knight is a swordsman class profession that focuses more on attack than defense. The dark knight can have two types of weapons: a two-handed sword, or a one-handed sword and shield. At the start of the game, it won't matter much which weapon to use. For more high levels there are skills that require one type of weapon. You will have to choose which skills are more important to you.

Parameters and characteristics

Dark Knights, like the rest of the heroes in Royal Quest, have 4 stats: Strength, Agility, Luck and Endurance. We will not describe them, you can read the description on the site. For our Persian, the most important are strength and endurance. Our attack power depends on the first, and the amount of HP depends on endurance.

For every 10 attribute points you get a multiplier bonus:

strong man - for every ten strength you get + 15 to attack;
trickster - for every ten dexterity you get + 2.5% to attack speed;
big man - for every ten stamina you get + 15 to energy;
lucky - for every ten strength you get + 1% to the crit chance.

Parameter points do not affect other characteristics. Dodge, Protection, Critical Hit Power, these characteristics are standard, but they can be increased with the help of bonuses from weapons, cards and seals.

From a knight, you can make a hero of a different plan, from a super tank to an auto attacker / critical. But the main damage still comes from skills, which mainly depend on attack power.

Dark knight skills

The knight has many very useful skills, which are mainly aimed at attack. There are also counter-skills that are aimed at enemies to prevent them from playing comfortably. Active skills are improved by talents, so a weak skill at the beginning can then become a formidable weapon. There are 2 types of skills: basic, which are available to the swordsman and the skills of the knight himself.

Sword Skills

Crushing blow - deals 140-220% damage for 12 energy.
Shield Bash - If you have chosen to level with a shield, then this skill will deal 140-220% damage. Doesn't miss.
Wrath - The dark knight strikes the ground with a strong kick, knocking up enemies and reducing evasion by 20. Mass skill, useful against thieves.
Dash is a good skill that quickly moves you towards your opponent, dealing damage. When you get close, the enemy slows down. After pumping talents, this skill is easy to drive "engines" of monsters.
Steel Protection - Armor aura for all members of your group.
Spear Throw - Deals good damage to the selected target. Cooldown 9 seconds.
Pierce - 80-130% damage in the direction of impact. Doesn't miss.
Breakthrough is a skill that you use while riding a mount. Deals damage to enemies in the direction of impact and does not miss. Using a breakthrough, you can either get out of the battle in time, or simply deal damage to standing enemies.
Warrior's Strike - 120-180% damage, as well as an additional bonus from the type of your weapon. (Hammer - stun 2 seconds, ax reduces defense by 20%, sword - reduces attack by 10%).

Dark knight skills

Power grab - the knight can pull the enemy towards him from 10 meters. The skill deals 40% of your attack damage to the target, as well as 60% per meter of distance.
Steel Spikes - an aura that returns damage taken to the enemy. Only works for melee heroes.
Domination is a good skill, which is convenient to finish off the enemy when he has few lives. If a nearby enemy falls below 20% health, the skill will be highlighted.
Bone Armor - Reduces damage taken by 30% for 15 seconds.
Blood Harvest is an excellent skill that, in addition to damaging 170-265% of attack power, also heals you by 150% damage done.
Earthquake is an AoE skill that cannot be missed. Bringing enemies out of invisibility. Adds damage per point of rage. Consumes all rage points.
Plague Blade - Deals low base damage, and also damages an enemy target for 6 seconds.
Rage Burst is a great AoE skill. For each unit, the dark knight throws out skulls that, when exploded, deal damage to everyone around.
Rampant Anger is a skill that allows you to forget about energy consumption for a while. However, it consumes 1 Rage per second.

We will analyze only the active talents of each of the branches. There are 4 talent branches in total (1 branch is for the swordsman and 3 for the dark knight).

Dark Knight Talents

Blood
Seal of the Nosferatu- a useful skill that will greatly help the dark knight survive longer. For three attacks, your character will be healed for 50% of the damage dealt.
Power
Victim is another useful skill derived from talents. The knight places a mark on the enemy, which accumulates the received damage. After the victim dies, 80% of the accumulated damage is dissipated on the ground.
Steel
ice attack- Deals 170-265% water damage, freezing the enemy. When you attack a frozen target, the armor is ignored.

How to level up our dark knight

Gradually, we approached the part of the guide where you need to describe ways fast pumping character. For Royal Quest, this has always been a problem, because experience is gained quite slowly. You need to do all day quests, killing the necessary mobs in batches. If you don't want to bother with kill/fetch, then run to some location and just kill mobs in batches. In order to collect packs of 20 monsters, the dark knight is rather weak. However, our hero has several skills that really kill a big "engine".

You need to grow up to such a swing first. Up to level 30, you won't have much trouble leveling up. The monsters are not very strong yet, and our talent tree has not yet been reset. At around level 30, we can easily make a big pack of amber ants. The skill "Rage Release" helps to kill them. Skulls do a lot of damage, and Blood Harvest will restore your health. So you can save on consumable potions.

From level 38 we have more diversity good options pumping. We can move to the Endinopolis location, where the best mobs will be crabs, crocodiles and scorpions. I do not recommend collecting the latter, a large pack, they are painfully tenacious.

After level 42-43, it would be advisable to team up with a wizard (you should already have acquaintances by this time), and take out large packs of monsters. The tactic is simple: the wizard with the Force Field skill collects a large pack of monsters, you use the Fury Release, then take cover under the wizard's field. Waiting for the rollback of the skill, and so on. This way of organizing the grind (killing mobs in order to level up) will be useful for both you and the wizard.

After we get the twentieth level, one free talent reset is available to us. I recommend saving it and using it at level 48-49 if you plan to play for a long time.

If you made a mistake in development, and your character has not yet taken even the thirtieth level, then it makes sense to create a new Persian and pump it again. Fortunately, there will already be experience and knowledge gained.
