Better Questing – Quest Book Mod 1.7.10 adds a quest book to Funwayguy's . I found I needed it due to the large number of keybinds being used in my Mod Pack and no item to reach the questing guide easily.

Please be warned, the book image is not that great and I'm hoping to replace it in and upcoming version. If you'd like to submit an image please feel free.

  • 1.1.0 (Released)
    • Add a config file to disable quest and party notifications
    • Abstract Logger into it's own package
    • Add config option to spawn with new player
  • 1.2.0
    • Add notification to the book when you've completed a quest
    • Add notification to the book when you've been sent an invite to a party
    • Improve Quest Book image

Good day, dear friends!

Are you playing on a hardcore build, but when you die, the world is not deleted and nothing happens? Do you want to have some tasks that can be completed by fulfilling the specified conditions (Fly to the right place, hand over the right liquid or object, kill the right number of mobs and the like - everything is like in MMORPG games) while receiving a reward? Well, in the end, live in the limitations of life? Then this miracle will be to your liking!

Today I will show you one great mod that will introduce some hardcore and MMORPG elements (namely quests) into our favorite game - Minecraft!

The most interesting thing is that you will write the quests yourself and you will also set the rewards yourself! By the way, this mod is ideal for various themed servers - with a stalker mod, survival on uninhabited islands and the like. This hardcore miracle contains very few things in itself, but this is enough to enjoy gameplay! Mod content:

What is shown in the screenshot?

  • The quest book is the main item added by this mod. It is with the help of it that you will hand over, create and receive tasks.
  • Quest Deliviry System - a block with which you will donate liquids and items in large quantities to complete tasks
  • Pieces of the heart are items that are given out for completing quests or opening bags. Used to make big hearts
  • Big heart - increases the number of lives by 1
  • Bags with awards - there are only 5 of them. They differ only in awards:
    • Simple
    • Good
    • Excellent
    • epic
    • legendary
  • A couple of other blocks that you will have to learn about on your own

So let's take a look at all this in screenshots.

This mod introduces a possibility to play a life based hardcore mode, but with more than only 1 life before your world gets deleted or you get banned from a server. Furthermore, you can complete quests to gain rewards, the rewards might be cool items or even extra lives. The quests aren't however included in the mod, it's up to you or a map maker to create them. To create them you will have to use the in-game editor. You can then export the quests to a file to share with your friends or the players of your map.

Features:

  • Unique questing system
  • Tiered reward system (loot bags)
  • in-game editor
  • Death Counter/ Tracker
