Son said it was the best Best game in the world. I liked it too.SUPER!!!

Answer: The game is really good! Be sure to pay attention to the Cheese Castle game, maybe you will like it too) In general, if you like the playing field to be always different, then do not pass by such games as Jackal and Carcassonne.

    Elena

I really liked the game. Bought for the whole family. Children 5 and 8 years old. For a 5 year old, it's a bit difficult to think through the right moves. 8 year old is also too lazy to think. My husband and I often play together. I recommend this game to both children and adults.

when is delivery expected? I really want this game!

Answer: This is a big headache for all board game stores. To be honest, we do not know, it seems that Germany has imposed sanctions on the supply of board games to Russia and therefore the availability of Ravensburger games is very scarce.

  • Board game Crazy maze victoria_pr wrote in August 7th, 2013

Summer is in full swing, and there are still not enough warm days. Therefore, in case of rain and forced sitting at home, I purchased a board game "Labyrinth" for my eldest six-year-old son. And since this game captivated our entire family up to grandparents, I want to tell you about this fascinating Labyrinth. Manufacturer Ravensburger and, accordingly, German quality, as always on highest level. All cards are made of thick, smooth cardboard and nothing has been rubbed or wrinkled anywhere in a couple of months of active use.

Now about the game itself: the set consists of playing field with parts of the labyrinth, separate cards with pieces of the maze, 4 figures of heroes and a set of cards with tasks-pictures.

First you need to lay out the details of the labyrinth on the playing field. It is better to do this “closed”, so as not to form a ready-made path into the labyrinth for yourself. We have one card left. It will be useful to us in the future for making a move.

In each corner of the playing field, a colored circle is drawn, on which you need to place a hero figure of the corresponding color.

Each player chooses their favorite hero-traveler.

Next to the field we have a deck of playing cards with the task face down.

The player takes the first card from the deck. We got an owl. And now you need to build the maze moves in such a way as to get to the owl.

How to do it? On the playing field, some of the rows are movable. They are marked with yellow arrows. By moving the row to one side or the other by the size of one card, we can very significantly change the picture of the maze's moves. Remember our remaining card with a piece of the maze. Now she's just getting into it.

We shift the row we need by one card in any direction we need, and we place the shift in the same “extra” card. But from the other end, we have another card released. With its help, the next player will make his move. Before completing the task, you can go neither one nor two moves, but that makes it even more interesting, because. other players not knowing your goal willy-nilly change the picture of the Labyrinth. Accordingly, the one who finds the most treasures of the Labyrinth and collects the most cards wins.

The game is very fun and addictive. The son plays it with pleasure and constantly attracts all the "home" to the game. But the most interesting thing is that the child often gets to see the necessary move much faster. Thanks to this game, the child develops spatial thinking, he learns to think logically and make non-standard decisions. I think now we will try to play one more option

Players use cards to lay out an ever-changing maze. Each player tries to lay out his card in such a way that there is a passage between two identical treasures (chests, dragons, ghosts, and so on). At the same time, players take treasure cards as a reward. The one who has collected the most cards at the end of the game wins.

    Preparing for the game

The cards are shuffled and dealt two to each player. Four more cards are laid out in the middle of the table in the form of a square. The rest of the cards are the deck and are placed face down. The youngest player starts the game first.

    Game progress

On each player's turn, he performs the following actions:
  • Deploy a Card: At the beginning of the turn, the player must place one of the cards from his hand so that it is adjacent to the cards already laid out and so that at least one road depicted on the newly laid out card merges into the road on the already laid out card.
  • Take Treasure: The player points a finger at the resulting passage between the treasures and takes the card with the second treasure. It is set aside and counted towards the player for one point at the end of the game. Treasure can only be taken if all other cards remain connected to each other (corner touch does not count as connected). The card laid out in this turn from the hand in any case remains on the table.
  • End of turn: At the end of the turn, the player draws a card from the deck. The turn is passed clockwise.
  • The game ends as soon as the cards in the deck and in the players' hands run out. The one with the most points wins.

Electronic gadgets of recent decades have not been able to dislodge board games from the market. On the contrary, they are actively developing. And they are getting more and more interesting.

A Brief History of Board Games

It is believed that games are primarily for children. It is they who, learning the world around them, constantly play something. But this is not only entertainment for children.

Initially, board games were invented by adults and for adults. It is believed that the first board game appeared in ancient Egypt. It was invented by the god of knowledge Thoth to win a few extra days from the god of the moon. I figured it out myself, and I won. But the rules of this game have been forgotten over time.

India is considered the birthplace of chess. Maps were invented in the East, in the 12th century. Then they spread throughout Europe.

Some ancient entertainments have long been irretrievably lost. But some, having changed, have survived to this day. This is chess, go, backgammon, card games etc.

Initially, it was an expensive pleasure and entertainment for the rich. Over time, games have evolved and improved. In Russia in the 19th century appeared educational games for children, historical strategies dedicated to the Russian-Turkish wars.

In the 20th century, board games experienced a peak in popularity. Both educational and simply entertaining games developed. Economic strategies emerged. Many probably remember the most popular "". She was carried away abroad. Then she got to Russia. At first, in our country, it was often painted by hand, until it was possible to buy it in a store.

    What games are

Board games can be divided into categories:

    • adults
    • For kids
    • Joint (adults with children)

Usually, what was invented by adults, over time, "migrated" to children's leisure.

With the advent of the computer era, interest in the usual entertainment has fallen significantly. Paper versions looked like an anachronism in the era of gadgets.

But by the 21st century, the understanding has come that electronic games do not replace real human communication. And all over the world began another rise in interest in the "tabletop". Sales volumes also increased.

Now interest in "tabletop" is growing in Russia. There are more of them, you can buy domestic or translated foreign ones. For example, the Crazy Labyrinth.

A little about the game itself

It must be said right away that "Crazy Maze" is a well-deserved game, time-tested, a long-liver in the entertainment market. It was published by Ravensburger in 1986.

The Labyrinth was created by a professor of psychology, so it takes into account many of the nuances of the behavior of the participants. The rules of the game in the crazy maze are clear even to children. And insanely exciting for adults.

On average, the game takes from 15 to 40 minutes. Participation can be from two to four people, and of different ages.

Among the children's board games, the Labyrinth is the most successful.

After such a triumphant start associated with the game Ravensburger Labyrinth, the company published a whole series of similarly themed board games.

    Equipment

    The set includes:

    1. field for the game.
    2. passage cards in the amount of 34 pieces. They show the passages of the labyrinth.
    3. secret cards - 24 pieces. These are treasure cards to be found.
    4. chips - figures of 4 players: a witch, a sorcerer, a sorcerer's apprentice, a princess.

What does the playing field look like?

But the playing field here looks different! Unlike other strategies where it is constant, in this one the field is constantly and unpredictably changing. This is one of the most interesting highlights of the game itself.

The field consists of cards-walls, which form the labyrinth itself.

Some of the field fragments are rigidly fixed, while the other part is constantly moving. Because of this, the pattern of the labyrinth changes unpredictably all the time, for which he was called "crazy".

During his turn, the player moves the "walls", freeing himself a passage. As a result, not one card is shifted, but a whole row, forming new moves or traps for opponents.

Here you need to calculate not only your own moves, but also the actions of your opponents, because they are also looking for and also laying their passages. Which may interfere with your own.

The ever-changing maze is much more difficult to play than a flat, static field. But it's also much more exciting. Here, the participants will need logic and speed of reaction, because they need to have time to complete the task, not get lost and leave the labyrinth before the rest.

    Purpose of the game

What is the task of the players? In general terms, this is the need to find magical items first, moving across the playing field.

Participants move through the ever-changing space of the Ravensburger Labyrinth, looking for treasure and then finding their way back. At the very beginning, secret cards with treasures are distributed - magic items. Each player must find their items and then return to their original position. Before the rest. He will be the winner.

    Categories of players

Before buying a thing, you should figure out for whom it is intended. Will it be interesting only for children or adults too.

The Ravensburger Labyrinth strategy is great for family leisure. The rules are simple, so adults can participate along with children from 6-7 years old. For very young children, this board game may seem daunting. There is a simplified version for children from 4 years old.

Such board games for children develop logic and the ability to calculate moves well. It will be interesting for adults to have fun with good company or with their own children, without wasting time on complicated rules.

There's less here game pieces and additional items than, for example, in Rarkassona. The difficulty lies only in the constantly changing "landscape".

    Rules and mechanics

This is almost a classic "walker" with slight variations.

    Rules of the game:

    1. First, all participants sort out treasure cards that they need to find. Of course, this is done blindly and neighbors should not look at other people's cards.
    2. Participants choose which figure they will play for.
    3. Chips-figures are placed along the perimeter of the field. If there are two players, then you can take two figures.
    4. The cards are shuffled before the game. Then they are laid out on the playing field.
    5. A voluminous maze is made up of cards, one square card always remains free.
    6. Here, with the help of this free card, all moves and changes in the "landscape" are made.
    7. When a participant makes a move, he puts a free card in the right place. The remaining parts, having moved, form a new corridor. Follow this passage as far as possible until the player reaches a dead end.
    8. It is no longer possible to return shifted cards back. We just need to keep changing lanes.
    9. Your opponent, having made his move, can completely upset your plans and lead you astray. You will have to redraw your calculations on the go.
    10. Each participant must collect all their treasures.
    11. Having collected all the items, you should return to the place from which the figurine began its journey.

    Mechanics

The game mechanics are also simple. A set of square fragments in the Ravensburger Labyrinth depict fragments of underground passages. Some of them are stationary, while the other part forms changing walls and columns of the playing space.

During the game, you change the situation by moving corridors and walls with your chips. The absence of static, plasticity and mobility are the main components of this exciting strategy.

How to find the items you need

It is necessary to understand in advance that the treasures are already waiting for the seekers to come for them. They are located on 16 fixed squares of the playing field. Nothing can be moved or changed here. Only the walls and corridors of space change. But this is quite enough for an exciting journey.

    Who will be the witch?

And also a princess, a magician or a magician's apprentice. Yes, very simple. Participants choose their own figurines. They are placed on the edge of the field before the start of the game. Each chip has its own place. This is a square, and which is inscribed in a circle of the color of the corresponding figure. At the same time, the participants take cards of "treasures" that must be found. Choose strictly blindly! You can't peek. The cards must be divided equally among all.

What you can and should do on your own

    • First, look at your treasure map, the very first one, to find out what items to look for.
    • And now we need to look at the field for the game and figure out how to get to the desired item faster and shorter. Figure out how to change the maze in the direction you want.
    • You take a free card (it should always remain after the deal before the game) and move a whole row.
    • On the other hand, another card should fall out, which has become "extra".
    • Move your chip along the opened passage to the place you need. Or until you hit a wall. You can't go through them.
    • By the way, you can move not only the row where your figure is located, but also the one where your opponent settled down.
    • And don't forget to get out of the corridors. Remember, the exit is the same as the entrance.

About the board game Crazy Maze new version

Over the decades of its existence, the strategy has gone through several changes, improvements, and refinements. There are versions for the little ones:

    1. Labyrinth Junior. This is a smaller and slightly simplified version for kids aged 4+. Ghosts roam the corridors of the castle looking for hidden treasures. Instead of treasure cards, this option provides tokens. Starting with this simplified version, the child will then move on to more complex options.

    2. Option for fans of the cartoon "Cars" - Labyrinth Junior: Cars. Colorful "walker" based on the cartoon. Suitable for older children.

    3. There was an option for even older players - Master Labyrinth. If the participants have passed the previous types of labyrinths and have grown up, they will want more exciting adventures and dangers. At their service is a serious and hard version with dragon labyrinth. Here, participants will face more difficult obstacles than in previous variations.

What are the differences between the new labyrinth and the old one?

This popular walker is now available in a new, enhanced version. There are no cardinal differences from the previous version. The design of the figurines has changed a bit, some details have now become more elaborate and neat.

The decoration played with brighter colors. But all the rules and all the mechanics of the game remained the same.

    Publishers

The legendary game appeared in Germany from the Ravensburger publishing house. Currently, this is one of the most famous companies that produces educational games, creative kits, etc.

In its assortment there are materials for creativity, for coloring and drawing, a variety of games that develop themed puzzles. Children's desktops are very diverse. These are traditional lotos and dominoes, cubes, "memory", a series of logos and many types of outdoor games. Puzzles (their theme already has more than 300 topics) in the children's version are produced in large parts. The option for adults is more complex and provides for smaller fragments, and their number in one set can reach up to 18 thousand.

Also, these puzzles are distinguished by an original design. Interesting materials from which puzzles are made. Mosaic fragments can be made of metallized material, silk-screened or glow in the dark.

    Reviews

Buyers "vote" with their wallet, choosing this particular strategy. And for several decades. New reissues only add to the popularity of the Labyrinth. But to complete the picture, the main advantages of this game should be noted.

    • Recently appeared a new version this game. The design has become brighter, more colorful and of high quality. Well done details.
    • Preparing for the process itself and explaining the rules takes a few minutes.
    • The rules are simple, clear without much explanation even for beginners or children.
    • A party can take as little as 20-30 minutes. Sometimes this is very convenient.
    • Interesting "mechanics". A moving playing field is more interesting and offers more options than a static one.

    Main cons:

    1. The brevity of the parties may not be a positive, but a negative quality. For those who like long and complex games, such a quick ending can be disappointing.

    2. The game is quite simple. For those who like complex multi-moves, it is better to choose other options.

    3. Perhaps, the fact that more than 4 participants will not be able to play will turn out to be a minus.

    Additional materials

The Crazy Maze desktop can be significantly improved and supplemented on your own. To do this, you just need to slightly change the rules and add additional material for the game. All materials are easily made by hand. It is done according to the principle: print and play.

    • The playing field is taken from the standard set.
    • 34 cards - fragments of moves, all this is already in the basic set.
    • 20 tokens, numbered from 1 to 20 and one under number 25, are made by hand.
    • 12 magic wands are taken. Can be replaced with buttons or something else.
    • The secret formula is 21 pieces. You have to print it yourself.
    • 4 chips-figures are included in the basic set.

    Description of actions

In an ancient, possibly enchanted and twisted dungeon, magical ingredients are stored. Wizards really need them. The ingredients must be collected in order. First, everyone is looking for item number 1. Then, having found it, they begin to look for the next one.

The one who discovers the desired object takes it for himself. The one who finds the most magic items gets the most points.

    Game progress

The rules here are almost the same as in the basic maze.

    • First, the cards are shuffled and placed on fixed rows on the playing field. There must be one "extra".
    • The selected chips are placed in certain places from the edge of the field.
    • All tokens are shuffled and placed “face down” on the squares of the field. When everyone is in place, they must be turned "face" up.
    • Pull out, without looking, one card with a description of the formula.
    • Take 3 magic wands (if there are 4 players).
    • The moves begin with the movement of the corridors. According to the rules, it is allowed to move in any direction, but only along the corridors. When you get the token you need on the cell, you take it.
    • Collect them in order. If one of their participants took token #1, now you can take #2, etc.
    • Participants stack the received tokens so that everyone else can see them.
    • Several chips can be placed on the same cell.
    • Collected ingredients (which are marked on the secret card) give the player extra points, so it's important to find them all.
    • For tokens, they also give points, especially for the last one picked up.
    • Magic wands can grant wishes - they can, for example, pay for good advice. But at the same time, it is eliminated. And if the wand was never used, then the player receives additional points - 3 points for each.
    • Points are awarded for the selected token, according to the number on the token.
    • For a token from a secret formula, another 20 points are given.
    • The one with the most points will become the Great Magician.
