Jade from mortal kombat. Character history. Passive: Disappearing Winds

The game "Mortal Kombat" won the hearts of thousands of teenagers and is still in the top of the most rated computer entertainment. The project introduces the player to various characters, including warlike men and women who are not inferior to them. Jade is one of the latter.

History of creation

Jade appeared in the second episode of the project. Her biography remained a mystery, as she acted as a "dark horse". The girl became a clone of a fighter along with Smoke and Noob Saibot. Kitana was her prototype. The characters are childhood friends. They kept each other company in training, practicing strikes and tricks. Jade was in the squad as a hired killer. After the betrayal, she had to, together with Reptile, return the princess who had fled to Earthrealm. Jade embarked on the path of betrayal and turned out to be the best warrior of those that were under Princess Kitana.

Soon, Jade's character appeared in the ultimate version of the game, where the girl had personal moves and skillfully controlled steel fans. The creators of the project paid attention to the heroine, returning to the project in the sixth, seventh and ninth parts.

"Mortal Kombat"

AT new chronology Jade was a mercenary serving . Distinguished by dexterity and ingenuity, she passed any test to destroy an opponent. In this version, it is known that she is a descendant of a noble family. The girl was among the servants of the emperor for many years. Having appeared at the court as a little girl, she grew up next to the ruler and turned from an offering into an instrument of retribution. The emperor brought Jade closer to Princess Kitana and entrusted her with the protection of the heiress.

Having made friends with her ward, Jade took the order of the emperor hard, who believed that with a fierce rebuff of the princess, she would have to be killed. Acquaintance with the heroine occurs at the time of the Mortal Kombat, when she joins Kitana at the throne of Shang Tsung. In the first fight, Blade becomes her opponent. Together with the defeated warriors, Jade was forced to return to Outworld, where she also participated in the tournament. In the fight in the Armory, Jade confronted Raiden and Jax. The latter defeated the girl in a fight.

Jade accompanied Kitana, exiled from the Colosseum, on her way to the Wasteland. The bodyguard tried to convince the princess to obey the will of the emperor, as Shao Kahn was angry with her behavior. To avoid conflict, the girls broke up for a while. Jade Raiden, who appeared after leaving, carried Kitana into Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits, where she was ordered to go. Jade tracked down Kitana on her journey, as she promised the emperor to prevent the princess from entering the lab. An executive mercenary entered into battle with a friend in order to fulfill the instructions of the owner. Kitana won, but was imprisoned.

By choosing to betray her friend, Jade did the wrong thing. Over time, realizing the mistake, she tried to save the princess. The magic spells cast on the prisoner had to be removed, but it was difficult to free Kitana. It was necessary to ask for help from Raiden and fight with Milina, Kitana's double. After grueling fights with Milina and Smoke, Jade reached her goal. The girl accepted death from. The soul of the warrior went to the Underworld.

Jade showed amazing fighting skills. In the fight, she used hand-to-hand combat techniques and weapons. The boken was her favorite instrument. The girl used pointed boomerangs and poles. Magic spells were also in her arsenal. She is subject to teleportation and the ability to create a protective field around herself. Like other heroes, Jade has several fatalities that require a combination of buttons on the computer keyboard to be activated. The heroine uses specific techniques and strikes or their combos.

Jade in Mortal Kombat

The appearance of the heroine is similar to Kitana's palette. She has a dark complexion. The mercenary walks without a mask and without a suit that protects the body. She is dressed in a revealing green outfit. AT late games the appearance of the girl was modernized, adding nuances to her outfit.

Screen adaptations

Actress and model Irina Pantaeva portrayed Jade in the 2000 film Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. In the film adaptation of the game, the heroine preferred loyalty to the emperor to a good relationship with her friend. She collaborated with the Earth Warriors and was given to be torn apart by a gargoyle. There is no mention of the close relationship between the mercenary and the ward in the plot of the tape. Unlike computer games, in the film, Jade is depicted as a mulatto, not an Asian.

The image of Assassin Jade was used to create a character named Kali, a participant in the movie Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Being a close friend of Kitana, the heroine is afraid of the emperor's punishment, so she indulges his will.

Jade is a popular Mortal Kombat character. Art fanfictions are devoted to her, and at thematic cosplay festivals, the costume of the heroine is often preferred by girls who create an image from the universe of the same name.

Description:

“You are tired of all kinds of Freddy and Jason. You need more classics, ”the developers decided and added to the game not Sindel with a ghostly skin or Rein from the plot, following the example of Baraka, but Jade straight from the 9th part of the game with a new redrawn skin. Such overtures from the developers give us hope that not only in our dreams we will see the Cabal, Nightwolf and other beloved characters in mobile version games. The main thing is that the developers have a desire, but the weed does not end. There, look, and Mokap will be delivered in a diamond edging.

The combat and special moves of Jade Assassin are taken from the 9th part of the game, and are not at all similar to Kitana's Mournful style. Fast enough, but the convenience of combo attacks leaves much to be desired, so you will have to adjust to the pace of the fight, and pressure is only with a block breaker, but even so it does not interrupt Liu Kanov and Cassie.

In terms of stats, she is quite powerful - attack (49k) and health (101k) are close to top indicators, so the character is balanced, quite tenacious, and special moves do a lot of damage.

The icing on the cake will be, albeit not quite unique, but rather impressive passive, which allows you to randomly dodge special moves, like, and immediately counterattack, inflicting injury on the opponent. The chance to dodge is about the same as that of Jason mentioned above, but in addition to special moves, Jade can also dodge finishing combos, which makes the fight with her even more difficult and nervous, and therefore the dodge chance is distributed. So don't expect near-complete immunity to special attacks, but don't be afraid to miss out on manual combos once again. On top of that, it is stated that Jade is quickly replaced, but in reality she just deals a small amount of damage both when leaving the battlefield and when she enters it. The character is required to be purchased.

Weapon: it would be possible to rant about the fact that Jade does not have enough damage, so put on the Hammer of Wrath, well, or a block breaker for pressing, but the Bojutsu Staff's native equipment has an interesting bonus purely for her, which is directly related to the passive. The meaning of this bonus is that after EVERY dodge, Jade's entire attack(!) increases by 60% (on X-fusion), attention, UNLIMITED number of times. At the same time, her hands begin to glow, as an indicator of increased damage. As a result - 2 dodges give more than 2 times increased attack. Thus, on the 3rd dodge with a counterattack, you take down hp as after the 1st special move or even more. This makes Jade an absolute imboy, doing an indecent amount of damage just by doing nothing. Most likely this will be fixed, but for now the best option weapons will be exactly the native Staff.

Armor: Standard health increase to stay in combat longer. Tactical Vest, Hockey Mask, Lizard Armor for choice.

Accessory: increasing the charge of strength is the best option for her, since it is with powerful special moves that she crushes the opponent. Soul Medallion, Bound Demon, Voodoo Doll, Red Bandana will do.

So, in this blog, we'll take a look at female characters from Mortal Kombat- a cult series of fighting games, known for its cruelty, polished gameplay and so-called "fatalities" (spectacular system of bloody finishing moves). This year, the franchise, which has considerable popularity all over the world, including in Russia, celebrates its 22nd anniversary. Let's congratulate her!

Ashra

Let's start with Ashra - a killer demon hiding under the guise of a modest and pretty girl. Her first appearance took place in 2004, with the release of the sixth part, known as Deception. A bit of biography: so, Ashra is a former member of Kuan Chi's Brotherhood of Shadow. She dared to disobey the order of the sorcerer and he sent Ashra's sisters in the Brotherhood to kill her. During the escape from Hell, Ashra was able to find an unusual sword - Kriss, which can cleanse the soul of its owner from the curse. After destroying countless demons, she left the Underworld, finding herself in an unfamiliar reality, in front of several heavenly creatures, as if woven from light. They told Ashra that Kriss could turn her into a powerful warrior and that she herself was the chosen one. The killer decided to cleanse the world of Darkness in order to ascend to these beings, becoming the "Angel of Light". The creatures sent her to the reality of Waterneus - the world of vampires, where the heroine began a total sweep, but one, Nitara, managed to hide in Edenia.

Gemini

Gemini is Jax's liaison, to whom she is clearly not indifferent, passing important information to him from the headquarters. Appears in the 2000 spin-off Special Forces.

Delia

Delia is the heroine of the seventh part of Armageddon (2006), a powerful soothsayer of Edenia, who is the wife of Argus, the god and Protector of Edenia, and the mother of Taven and Daegon, two demigods. Her visions of impending Armageddon prompted Argus to come up with a plan where their sons would be kept dormant for many years until the journey began. Delia created Blaze, a fire elemental, to awaken Taven and Daegon, and for him to be defeated by one of them in a battle that would decide the fate of the rest of the warriors. She also placed her image in the monoliths created by her husband to teach the children during their journey.

Jataka

Along with Sarina and Kiya, Jataka is one of three assassins serving Kuan Chi's Shadow Brotherhood in Mythologies: Sub-Zero, a 1997 spin-off dedicated to the infamous Sub-Zero. Each of them protects one part of the crystal, which, when put together, allows you to get to Quan Chi's throne room through a teleportation device located on the top floor of the pyramid. Jataka is a demon from the Underworld who uses magic to maintain her attractive appearance. She fights using lightsaber, which can also fire "blue blasts of energy".

jade

Jade's debut took place in the second part, dated 1993, where she was a secret character. The heroine is a childhood friend of Kitana, they grew up and trained together. Both girls, as well as Milina, were in the squad of personal killers of the emperor of the Outworld Shao Kahn. After Kitana betrayed the emperor and killed Mileena, Jade and Reptile were sent to retrieve the princess, who had fled to Earthrealm. Faced with the choice of betraying her friend or going against Shao Kahn's will, Jade chose the latter. Subsequently, she became one of the best warriors in Edenia, serving Queen Sindel and Kitana. In the new timeline, Jade made contact with Raiden's earth warriors after Kitana was imprisoned in the Tower. She informed Liu Kang and Kung Lao of the princess's whereabouts, and later, after Shao Kahn's defeat, joined the Raiden warriors.

Kameleon

Kameleon is the last female of a race of sentient Zaterrian lizards, also known as the Raptors. She spent a lot of time to find a way to kill Shao Kahn and track down Reptile, who was in the service of the emperor. During the invasion of Kahn's forces into Earthrealm, Kameleon fought on the side of the earthlings. She finally managed to make contact with Reptile and tell him the truth about what happened to their race. Reptile initially agreed to help Kameleon kill Shao Kahn, but then again fell under the influence of the emperor and attacked her, putting her to flight. After this, Kameleon wandered aimlessly through various worlds for several years, unsure of what she could do to stop Shao Kahn. During her travels, she managed to overhear at a meeting of warriors that a weapon of great power would soon appear in Edenia. The winner of a certain battle will receive incredible power equal to the power of the gods. More disturbing news was that Shao Kahn also planned to acquire this power. Kameleon decided that she would not allow this power to fall into the hands of Shao Kahn; she herself will find this weapon and use it to punish the emperor and those who served him.

kia

Like Jataaka and Sarina, Kia is a member of the Brotherhood of Shadow. She works for Quan Chi as an assassin and guards one piece of the crystal which, when put together, can give access to throne room Quan Chi. It can be assumed that the heroine is a demon from the Underworld, using magic that maintains her attractive human appearance. In battle, the girl uses boomerangs with blades.

Kira

Before joining the Black Dragon, Kira, disguised as a man, traded weapons in the mountains of Afghanistan. During one of the transactions, the terrorists accidentally discovered that she was a girl and attacked her. Kira had no choice but to fight her way out. When the heroine left the cave alone, Cabal was already waiting for her there. He decided that a woman who could do business with an organization of extremist thugs was worthy of joining the new Black Dragon.

Kitana

In the original chronology, Kitana was the daughter of the rulers of the world of Edenia, but after their world was captured by Shao Kahn, he took Queen Sindel as his wife, and adopted Kitana. For many thousands of years, Kitana was raised by the emperor, whom she considered her real father. But shortly before the tournament in Outworld, she managed to find out the truth about her origin, and she began to wait for an opportunity to betray Shao Kahn. During the tournament, she came into contact with earthly wars, and later fled to the Earthly Kingdom, having killed her clone Mileena before that. There, she joined the earthly warriors and, during Shao Kahn's invasion of Earth, was able to return her mother Sindel to the side of good. After defeating Kan, Kitana and Sindel set about rebuilding Edenia. But soon Edenia again became the object of attack by evil forces. This time, the fallen elder god Shinnok became the attacker, who, with the help of the traitor Tanya, was able to get into Edenia along with his army of Darkness. Kitana was imprisoned, but Milina helped her escape. After defeating Shinnok, Kitana united the forces of Edenia and Outworld to finally defeat the remnants of Shao Kahn's empire. Her mission was interrupted by the death of Goro's ally, as well as a new mission from Raiden, who wanted Kitana to help Earth's best warriors defeat the Deadly Alliance of sorcerers Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. During the attack on Shang Tsung's palace, all earthly warriors, including Kitana, were killed. But almost immediately they were resurrected by a new tyrant - the Dragon King Onaga, who made them a personal squad of assassins. Kitana and the rest of the warriors got their freedom thanks to Liu Keng and Yermak. She took part in the final battle at the pyramid of Argus.

Lee Mei

Li Mei was a resident of a small village in Outworld. Together with the rest of the inhabitants, she was captured by the Deadly Alliance under the leadership of Kano, who joined the service of the sorcerers after the death of Shao Kahn. They were tasked by the Deadly Alliance to build a huge palace around the stone structures that were on the nearby plateau. With the help of Shinnok's amulet, Quan Chi created a gigantic vortex of souls. As a slave, Li Mei dared to attack Kano himself. Quan Chi, interested in her abilities, invited the girl to participate in a tournament organized by the Deadly Alliance. If she can win, then the sorcerers will release all the captives to freedom, if not, then they will forever remain in slavery. Li Mei was left with no choice but to agree to participate. She managed to win the tournament, but the reward was not at all what she expected. The Deadly Alliance held a tournament to select the best warrior and transfer his soul into the body of one of the soldiers of the Dragon King. Bo "Rai Cho managed to interrupt the ritual and take Li Mei out of the palace - for this reason, he did not take part in the attack of earthly warriors on Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. Bo' Rai Cho not only saved Li Mei, but also took her as a student. Thanks under his mentorship, Li Mei not only became stronger, but also began to feel like a true protector of Outworld from evil.Together with Bo'Rai Cho, she entered the army of Edenians who fought against the Tarkatans sent by the Dragon King.Although Li Mei was saved, the moment in which her soul occupied the body of one of the soldiers of the Dragon King, did not go unnoticed - she began to feel a strange sympathy for Onaga.

Milina

Milina is a clone of Kitana, created by the sorcerer Shang Tsung for Shao Kahn. During the creation of Mileena, Shang Tsung used the blood of Kitana's edenian and the blood of Tarkatans - a race of ferocious mutants living in the wastelands of the Outer World. The sorcerer hoped to make Milina more loyal to the emperor, but his experiment was not entirely successful - as a result of a mistake, Milina's face turned out to be disfigured and instead of a normal human mouth she had a huge mouth, like a tarkatan, studded with large and sharp teeth. At the beginning of the series, Milina's biggest dream was to kill Kitana and prove that she was in everything. better than a princess. But after the death of Kitana at the hands of the Tarkatans and the Deadly Alliance, Milina finally took her place, fulfilling her destiny, and at the same time gained control over the united army of Edenia and the Outer World. Having freed her mind from thoughts of revenge, Milina decided to seize the Outer World herself. Her plans did not come true, as Shao Kahn returned with Goro and Shang Tsung and re-occupied his fortress. Milina had to give him the right to reign in the Outer World, but she did not abandon her plans to be a queen, turning her gaze to Edenia.

nitara

Nitara spent a lot of time finding the location of the mysterious orb that made her world part of Outworld. Finally, the heroine managed to find her, but she was buried under a layer of molten lava. Luckily for Nitara, she had met Cyrax in Outworld before then. The vampire decided that the cyborg would be able to retrieve the orb from the lava and remain unharmed, but she needed to offer him something in return. For this, she decided to use Reptile. Nitara gave him the Kirehashi sword, an artifact of the Zatterian civilization, and at the same time told him about the disposition of Kitana's troops. It was this that delayed Reptile and prevented him from warning Shao Kahn of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's impending plot. Reptile, returning to the palace, found only the dead body of his master. For a while, Reptile roamed Outworld until he stumbled upon Nitara again. He offered her his services. Nitara ordered him to attack Cyrax, telling Reptile that he was an invader from Earthrealm. She said that the cyborg could be weakened by destroying the console on his arm, which Cyrax was actually using to travel between worlds. Reptile did as he was ordered - he damaged the console on Cyrax's arm, but was forced to flee from the cyborg's powerful attacks. Immediately after that, Nitara appeared before Cyrax and offered him a deal: the cyborg would get her a sphere, and she would send him to Earthrealm. Although Cyrax did not trust the vampire, he agreed to help her. The two of them went to the location of the sphere - the incubation chamber of the last Dragon King - Onaga. Once in place, Cyrax descended into the lava and took out the orb, after which he gave it to Nitara. The vampire, as promised, sent the cyborg to Earthrealm. After that, she shattered the sphere and finally separated her world from Outworld. After the destruction of the sphere, Nitara lost consciousness, and when she woke up, she was already in her native reality.
