How to level up your alchemy skill in Skyrim. How to quickly level up alchemy in Skyrim. Cheats and codes

Alchemy will be useful for a character of any kind. In most cases, the most basic thing will be enough - a potion of restoring health, magic or stamina, and poisons will allow the weapon to deal more damage. With a better understanding of the properties of ingredients, you can brew potions that mimic the effects of many (though not all) magical spells and enchantments. Although there are a variety of potions available for sale, knowing alchemy will give you the ability to create potions that are more powerful than store-bought ones.

Making potions

Alchemy in Skyrim can only be practiced in places specially designed and equipped for this purpose - alchemy laboratories (Alchemy Labs). To create a potion or poison, you must combine two or more ingredients that have the same magical effects. If their common property is beneficial (for example, restoring health), then you will create a potion, if it is negative (for example, damage to health), then you will create poison. Potions with multiple effects can be created if the ingredients being mixed have more than one effect matching.

Each ingredient has a total of four effects. Eating an ingredient always reveals its first property; taking the “Experimenter” perk allows you to discover other properties when eaten, depending on the rank of the perk (see the perk table below). The effects can also be revealed through experimentation if the combination of ingredients successfully creates a potion. When you select one ingredient, all the others that you previously tried to combine it with and failed will appear grayed out. Unlike Oblivion, here your character's Alchemy level does not affect which effects can be unlocked and used.

The amount of Alchemy skill, alchemy perks, and skill increases by equipping enchanted items determine the strength of any potion or poison your character creates. In its turn, practical lessons by mixing potions and poisons cause an increase in the Alchemy skill.

You can brew potions using recipes found in the game, or simply combine different ingredients randomly. In addition, you can look around and find similarities between the ingredients - plants growing close to each other often have similar effects (for example, purple mountain flower and thistle, lavender and red mountain flower), as well as insects that feed on flower nectar. Additionally, placing ingredients side by side in kitchens, retail counters, and laboratory benches usually indicates that they go together.

Alchemy Skill Perks

The Alchemy perk tree consists of 9 perks, requiring a total of 15 perk points. The perks of this skill allow you to unlock more effects when eating ingredients, increase the effectiveness of created potions and poisons, remove positive effects from poisons and negative effects from potions, and collect twice as many ingredients from plants.

In Skyrim, a character at any level of Alchemy skill can brew a potion from any ingredients, but full disclosure of all the properties of the ingredients is possible only with the “Experimenter” perk. This means honest discovery in the game, without using third-party tips like this ;) The trial and error method will allow you to discover the rare and most powerful effects only after great effort and expenditure of ingredients.

The Herbalist perk allows you to collect additional ingredients from all plants (except for Nirn root plants), from clusters of sea acorns, from nests with bird eggs, but not from various creatures, including passive ones (fish, butterflies, bees, dragonflies , fireflies, birds).

Those who are very interested in increasing the power of mixed potions and poisons should definitely take the following perks - “Alchemist” from ranks 1 to 5, “Healer”, “Provider” and “Poisoner”. At the same time, if you have items enchanted to increase your Alchemy skill, it will become additional advantage to the above perks. And if your character actively uses poisons in battles, then the “Concentrated Poison” perk will also be useful to you.

Note: before the release of the official patch 1.9, to take the “Purity” perk, you did not need the “Snake Blood” perk; you had to take the “Experimenter” perk. In patch 1.9.26.0.8 this error has been corrected, now to take the “Purity” perk, the “Experimenter” perk is not needed, development proceeds according to the perk tree (see the picture on the right).

Cost of potions and experience gained

The increase in experience when practicing Alchemy proportionally depends on the cost of the created potion, that is, the more expensive the potion, the more experience the character will get. The amount of experience gained is greatly affected by increasing the skill by equipping enchanted items (the maximum that can be equipped on a character is: gloves, a headdress, a ring and an amulet). Thus, +100% to Alchemy means receiving twice as much XP for each potion brewed as usual. Therefore, it is worth leveling up your Enchanting skill first in order to acquire enchanted items. You should also take the Alchemist, Healer, Pharmacist and Poisoner perks as early as possible.

The most expensive effects (using common ingredients) are paralysis, magic damage, invisibility, and slow. However, potions with a large number different effects may be more valuable in gold terms than potions with one expensive effect. You also need to take into account the fact that from some special ingredients you can create potions with exactly the same effects, but with much greater power and cost. For example, a giant's finger produces a health-increasing potion that costs 5.9 times more than other ingredients with the same effect. Such a potion of increasing health is more valuable than a potion of paralysis. The most expensive potions you can create are:

With the giant's finger:

Bearded Moss + Bear Claws + Giant's Finger or Blue Butterfly Wing + Blue Mountain Flower + Giant's Finger

Without the giant's finger:

Glow Dust + Glow Mushroom + Bearded Moss or Creeping Vine + Large Horns + Betta Fish

Special Ingredients

Some ingredients have magical effects with non-standard magnitude values, and accordingly, they produce potions of unusual strength and cost. For example:

  • Betta Fish (2.5 x Magnitude): Health damage potions created with these fish will be 2.5 times stronger.
  • Nirnroot (12.6 x Value): Health damage potions mixed with Nirnroot will cost 12.6x more.

When using non-standard ingredients in potion making, the final strength and cost of the potions are determined by the highest priority of the ingredients. In the list below, ingredients are listed in descending order of priority, so the top one always determines the properties of the resulting potion. That is, if you combine betta fish and nirn root, the potion made from them will have exactly the same properties as a potion created from betta fish and poisonous bell or betta fish and falmer ear. Ingredients with reduced magnitude values, such as ectoplasm and nightshade (skill boost: Destruction), only have an effect when combined with the same ingredient with reduced magnitude. Ectoplasm when combined with any ingredient other than nightshade produces a standard Destruction boost potion.

    • Charred Skeever Hide - 0.36 x Value;
    • Hawk Feathers - 0.36 x Value;
  • Damage Health:

Fast leveling of Alchemy skill

In your list of available ingredients, find a pair with the same most beneficial and expensive effect (you can use the SkyrimAlchemy alchemical calculator to select). Try to avoid rare ingredients or those that you will need later (for example, with the effect of increasing Enchanting or Smithing). Select a third suitable ingredient to match another additional effect, and brew the potions.

There is no need to think about what ingredients to buy; it is best to buy all the ingredients in any alchemy shop, except for the most expensive ones (Daedra hearts, frost salts, void salts), since the money made from selling ready-made potions will allow you to sweep everything off the shelves ingredients that the merchants have, and all the gold from their pockets too (ingredient stocks in alchemy shops and gold in merchants are replenished every 48 hours). Thus, the secret is simple - we buy and collect various ingredients and create all kinds of potions to maximize XP.

The Alchemy skill will allow you to brew a deadly poison, become invisible, create a healing potion. Skyrim includes many different skills, but you will definitely spend more than one hour playing this entertainment. We will tell you how to upgrade and all its capabilities in this review.

You can't go anywhere without a potion

Any player desperately needs at least a standard set of elixirs that restore health or magic. Of course, such potions can be found in almost any location in the game. In addition, all merchants will be happy to sell you elixirs and poisons. But this is unlikely to be enough, because you can find or buy potions in completely different quantities than you will need to complete, especially difficult missions and quests. Any strong enemy can kill you in a few minutes if you do not restore your health in time. So Alchemy is one of the most useful skills that are present in the game. And you should definitely study it, because there are many other reasons for this.

Main benefits of the skill

First of all, this is an opportunity to increase your health or parameters of strength, endurance, impact, and the like. In addition, thanks to this skill you can quickly earn a lot of money. And these are not all the opportunities that Alchemy gives the player. Skyrim is quite a dangerous place, and without healing potions the player will have a difficult time. Also, thanks to this skill, you can create poison, which will seriously increase the damage from your weapon. By studying some of the properties of the ingredients, you can become invisible or learn to breathe underwater. List of main effects:

  • Restoring, increasing and regenerating health, magic or stamina.
  • Fire resistance.
  • Aversion to electricity.
  • Cold resistance.
  • Invisibility.
  • Water breathing.
  • Damage to health, stamina or magic.
  • Paralysis.
  • Healing diseases.
  • Increased weight tolerance.

All this will become possible thanks to the science of Alchemy. Skyrim will also allow you to create potions that increase all other skills: restoration, alteration, spellcasting, illusion, alchemy, enchantment, heavy and light armor, pickpocketing, destruction and so on.

By mixing ingredients together, you can create decoctions with several positive or negative properties, which significantly increases not only their strength, but also their cost. If you decide to thoroughly study this skill, then before you begin training, receive a bonus from the “Mage” stone. You can find it near the town of Riverwood. Activating this guardian stone will increase the speed of learning the Alchemy skill by 20%. In addition, with this sign you will quickly upgrade all other types of magic: enchantment, destruction, restoration, and so on.

What is needed for alchemical studies

In order to take up potions, you will first need a laboratory designed to work with such magical arts as Alchemy. Skyrim will provide you with quite a lot of similar equipment. You can find an alchemical table in every city, as well as in small settlements, in the shops of herbalists or magicians. In addition, such devices are found in quest locations, including dungeons and caves.

In order to create potions and poisons, in addition to the table, you will need ingredients, which include plants, as well as parts of animals and monsters. You can find these components anywhere on the vast map: herbs and flowers grow near roads and in clearings, there are also a lot of animals and fish in these parts, as well as fairy-tale creatures. In addition, you can find ingredients in chests or on the corpses of defeated enemies. But the easiest way is to buy from merchants and herbalists, and you will always find such characters in the vastness of Skyrim. “Alchemy”, “Enchantment” - these are the skills that a beginner should immediately start learning and improving. After all, thanks to them you can earn not only experience, but also quite serious sums. And they will never be superfluous in game Skyrim.

Alchemy: ingredients

The choice of ingredients like these in the game is truly impressive. After all, there are about a hundred different parts of plants or animals to create potions. And sooner or later you will want to know all the effects of these elements. At first, only the simplest ones will be available in the game, because the more expensive and rare ones cost an order of magnitude more, and are much more difficult to obtain. But even studying the first ingredients you will spend a lot of time.

Each component includes four main effects. And if the first one is not difficult to recognize - you just need to eat the object, then you will have to suffer with the rest. In this case, pumping up the “Experimenter” perk will help. This skill allows you to unlock more effects when eating elements. If you don’t want to spend experience points on it, then there are several more ways to learn about the properties of the ingredients of the Alchemy skill:

  • Recipes.
  • Working at the alchemical table.

You can buy recipes from any herbalist or bookseller. From these records, several effects of a given ingredient can be inferred. But it’s much more fun to conduct research using laboratory equipment. After all, here you will need to combine two or three components with the same effect in order to get any potion. For example, the monarch wing and blue mountain flower have the property of increasing health. By combining these two elements, you will not only unlock their effects, but also create a potion that restores health.

Rare elements

Of course, wasting ordinary flowers or parts of animals that can be easily and quickly found is not as scary as rare ingredients like saber tooth. Such elements not only rarely drop out, but are also very expensive. So don't waste them. The following are particularly rare elements and their effects in the game Skyrim. These are, perhaps, all the rare ingredients that will be needed to learn the Alchemy skill. You can create your own potion recipes by knowing these basic parameters.

Upgrade your skill

There are several ways to increase the rank of this skill in Skyrim. How to level up Alchemy? First of all, you need to constantly practice it, because by creating potions and poisons, the level of this skill also increases. Moreover, the more successful the experiment, the more experience you receive for creating such a “decoction”.

In addition, strong potions are more expensive, so you will earn a lot of gold from selling them, which will be useful to you in completing the game Skyrim. How to level up Alchemy quickly? In some locations you can find books, reading which will add experience to this skill. List of publications:

  • "Game at Lunch"
  • "Song of the Alchemists"
  • "Mannimarco, King of Hearts."
  • "De Rerum Dirennis".
  • "Skyrim Plant Guide."

You can find these books in any location in the game, including characters' houses, chests and hiding places in caves, or bookshelves in castles. In general, do not be lazy to search the surrounding area in search of these useful items. In addition, you can increase this skill by completing special quests in the game Skyrim, “Otherworldly Alchemy” is one of them. By completing this task, your level of proficiency in this skill will increase impressively.

Teaching is light

Increasing the Alchemy skill (Skyrim) is also possible by purchasing knowledge from teachers. There are a few of them:

  • Lami is a character living in Morthal.
  • Arcadia is an alchemist from the city of Whiterun.
  • Babette is a character from the Dark Brotherhood faction.

Such lessons are not cheap, but they quickly pay for themselves. After all, the higher the skill, the stronger and more expensive the potions. At the same time, you can always buy ingredients from a merchant, create a lot of potions, and use them to pay for the training. Next, you will learn how to use potions to get a lot of gold in the game Skyrim.

Alchemy Features

In order to make money from this skill, you need to create more valuable and expensive potions. It is very good if by the time you decide to study it, you have already mastered the “Enchantment” skill. After all, thanks to it, you can apply effects to clothing that increase the power of the potions created. It is also necessary to pump up the “Alchemist” perk with each level increase, which adds power to the poisons and decoctions of your preparation. In addition, study the entire skill tree, because it will be quite difficult to upgrade all the effects, since you will have to spend experience points on other abilities in the Skyrim game. The Alchemy skill includes the following perks:

  • Healer - increases the effects of health, stamina and magic potions by 25%.
  • Pharmacist - increases positive effects by 25%.
  • Poisoner - increases the strength of poisons by 25%.

So decide what exactly you want to make, and spend skill points on this perk.

Making expensive potions

Not all poisons and decoctions can be sold profitably, but some of them will bring considerable income, which you can count on when learning the Alchemy skill (Skyrim). Expensive recipes:

  • Paralysis.
  • Slowdown.
  • Damage to magicka recovery speed.
  • Invisibility.
  • Increased carrying weight.

It is worth considering that the more effects a decoction or poison contains, the more expensive it can be sold in Skyrim stores. Alchemy potions that contain both negative and positive effects are cheaper, so take this into account when creating decoctions. In addition, to create an expensive potion, you will need a certain set of ingredients. After all, elements with the same effects have different effects on the cost of poison or healing elixir. And it is not necessary that an expensive ingredient will increase the price of the potion, since there is an indirect connection.

The most expensive elixirs and poisons:

  • Bear claws, bearded moss, giant's finger.
  • A giant's finger, a blue mountain flower, a blue butterfly's wing.
  • Creeping vine, wheat, giant's finger.
  • Fierce mushroom, human heart, roaster root.
  • giant's finger, juniper berries.
  • Glowing dust, glowing moss.
  • Scale, creeping vine, mora tapinella.
  • Fire salt, snow berries,
  • Moon moth wing, vampire ashes, hawk feathers.
  • Saber eye, bearded moss, bear claws.
  • Vampire ashes, honeycomb, moon moth wing.
  • Garlic, salt, poison bell.

How to increase your profit from selling potions

First of all, you will need ingredients in order to earn money from the Alchemy skill. Skyrim is a huge game, and of course you can find a lot of elements needed for potions. But this will take a lot of time, so it’s better to purchase the ingredients from merchants. In order for the deal to be profitable and the purchase to quickly pay off, upgrade the “Merchant” skill from the “Speech” skill branch. In this case, the cost of acquisitions will decrease significantly, and your potions will increase in price slightly. In addition, without leveling up this perk, it will be impossible to find some rare ingredients in stores. For example, they will become available only when you take this skill.

Elixirs that increase the Speech skill will also help you earn a little extra money, but you don’t need to sell them, but drink them before the transaction. Then the prices will be much better, and buying ingredients or taking lessons will not put a big dent in your pocket. The ideal place to sell would be the Riften thieves' den "Ragged Flagon", of course, if you completed the quest line for this guild. Then a merchant will appear there, in whose pockets there will always be 4000 coins. In addition, the seller has a huge selection of ingredients, and there is an alchemy table nearby. So you can easily and quickly convert his gold into your potions.

Cheats and codes

It's no secret that Skyrim has commands that allow you to get everything at once. Of course, a similar way to level up skills or loot valuable resources is not considered particularly "fair" and many players avoid using codes and cheats in their game. But if you want to quickly level up your Alchemy skill without bothering with creating potions, then this method will be the best option for you. In order to use it, you first need to set the default English keyboard layout and open the console. This can be done using the “~” key. Next, in the line that opens, you need to write the following command: Player.SetAV Alchemy 100. This cheat will allow you to immediately learn the skill up to the hundredth level, but will not activate all the perks - you have to do this yourself.

The game Skyrim (a continuation of the legendary Oblivion series) demonstrates a world of adventure filled with battles, exploration and magic. The ability to make a variety of potions and potions will help in the craft of a dragon slayer.

The player is given the opportunity to develop his character in alchemy. When gaining the next level in the talent trees, skill points can be obtained not only by improving combat skills, but also by leveling up alchemy. Are you asking yourself how to quickly level up alchemy in Skyrim? This is possible if you follow certain rules.
You can quickly improve your skills, but only by using cheats. In this case, you need to increase Dovahkiin’s level in the console, and use the skill points for the desired section.

As you progress through the game, you can start brewing potions in Whiterun. Immediately after talking with the jarl, you will meet the court magician. You can find the necessary equipment in his room or go to local shops.
Unique system leveling up skills will not provide a list of ready-made recipes; All ingredients must be mixed yourself. Only then will you be able to develop skills and gain new abilities.

Principles of leveling up skills

A large supply of herbs will help you create a large number of tinctures, through the production of which this skill increases. You will need absolutely all the supplies: giant fingers, moth wings, spider venom, fly agarics and buttercups. They can be found in caves, picked up from a killed enemy, or bought from a merchant.

Special alchemy books can increase your skill, which can be found randomly throughout the location. How to quickly level up alchemy in Skyrim? The quests that you can get while exploring the game world will help. When going for a certain ingredient, your mentors (who can be found in schools) will indicate a good place to collect components for potions.

A special set of clothes and accessories enchanted to increase alchemy will increase the existing skill by a certain number of units, and the cost of the prepared potions will also increase.

Simple potions consisting of several components increase the level by a small percentage. To create a complex potion you will need many components, often rare, but the amount of experience gained will be much higher. The specificity of the classification of elixirs is that not all of them have a positive effect. Some of the potions can reduce skill, agility or the number of lives, but their cost is an order of magnitude higher than usual, as is the difficulty in creating, which is responsible for experience.

It is important to correctly add points to the talent tree.

The first link “Alchemist” is filled to 5/5 by default, without it the ability will not develop further. The “Healer” cell will help you create more effective health potions. In the fight against different opponents you will need a transition link. “Provisor” will allow you to create elixirs that are 25% better than the previous ones, which have the most positive effect.

As your skill increases, you will need to make more and more potions, so it is better to follow a similar plan:
1. You can upgrade your profession to levels from 1 to 40 using simple potions of two elements.
2. To increase a skill from level 40 to 80, you need to use more complex recipes from a large set of components. To develop our skills, we ask for help from trainers, for example, from Arkady who lives in Whiterun.

There are teachers in almost all big cities.

3. Skill from 80 to 100 is gained from potions that immediately give positive and negative effects(or which contain poisons).
Having a maximum of ingredients with you, you can level up alchemy in an honest way as quickly as possible.

Done guide to Alchemy in WOW Battle for Azeroth: how to level up Alchemy 1-800, what recipes to use, how to save money while leveling up, where to get tasks for alchemists.

Specializations

Upon reaching profession skill level 475, alchemists can choose a specialization: potions, elixirs or infusions. By choosing one of the specializations, you will get a certain chance to create 2-5 units of the corresponding product (potions/infusions/elixirs) instead of one.

In patch 4.3, the choice of specializations was slightly changed. Now, to choose a specialization, alchemists 475+ need to complete the task from the profession teacher: Yelmak (Horde) / Lilyssia Night Breeze (Alliance). The tasks are quite simple - you just need to bring the teacher a few prepared potions, infusions or elixirs.

Darkmoon Faire

The new Darkmoon Fair allows you to quickly upgrade 5 Alchemy points by completing a small profession task. The Darkmoon Fair takes place over the course of a week, starting on the first Sunday of the month. On it, alchemists can complete the task Cocktail with Bubbles. However, by and large, there are no very difficult stages in leveling up a profession, so visiting a fair for the sake of +5 points can be considered dubious.

630-700 (any of the recipes):

These recipes require 5 Alchemical Catalysts + 1 unit. Magic element + the same usual infusion(which were done at stage 600-630). The recipe costs 5 Secrets of Draenor Alchemy, so it is wise to study the same infusion that was prepared before.

Leveling up in the Legion

In Legion, it is now possible to level up a profession with 0 Legion recipes only - this allows you to avoid the long and tedious preparation of many classic recipes, BC, etc.

1-700

To comfortably level up using Legion recipes, you will need level 100+.

First, visit alchemy teacher Decus Valdera in Dalaran. If you don’t know where to find him, just ask the guards where the alchemy teacher is.

1-4
Immediately after you have learned alchemy, you can begin the quest Cool Mixture, which is given by Decus Valdera. The reward for completing this quest will be a Legion Alchemist. Be sure to complete this task before you start leveling up your profession.

To craft the potions needed to complete the quest, you will need 9x Ysera Seed. Recipes and empty bottles can be purchased from Patricia Egan, who is located in the same place as Decus Valdera.

4–236
232x Ancient Healing Potion – 928x Ysera Seed

Don't forget to buy the level 2 recipe for this potion from Patricia! Level 3 will unlock on its own during potion making. Do not sell or throw away prepared potions; they will be useful to you later.

236–468
232x Ancient Mana Potion – 1160x Ysera Seed

Don't destroy these potions either, they will be useful for the next recipe.

468–700 or 650–700
232x Ancient Rejuvenation Potion – 232x Ancient Healing Potion, 232x Ancient Mana Potion

If you started leveling up at 650, then it's time to complete the quest mentioned in sections 1 - 4, and then prepare 16x Ancient Healing Potions, 16x Ancient Mana Potions, and 16x Ancient Rejuvenation Potions. All this will require 144x Ysera Seed.

700 – 800

If you are planning to create an Infernal Alchemy Stone, then it is better to wait until you have 739 skill units, then feel free to start making the accessory - this way you will immediately receive 5 skill units.

All Legion recipes are sold by Patricia Egan, already familiar to us.

700–740
40x Ancient Healing Potion (level 3) – 160x Ysera Seed

note that we're talking about about the level 3 recipe, early levels are useless at this stage.

New alchemical recipes can be unlocked through quests from Decus Valdera. To unlock the recipes mentioned below, you will need level 110. Recipes for infusions become available after completing the Calibration Check quest; Patricia Egan will also sell them.

740–761
While making level 2 potions, you most likely automatically unlocked the next, third level of recipes.

After you study level 1 of any infusion, 3 tasks will open for you, completing which will give you recipes for level 2 infusions.

Recipe: Flask of the Seventh Demon (lvl. 2) can be dropped from Cordana of Felsong in heroic mode Casemates of the Guardians. Other recipes are commercially available.

Select one of the recipes available to you and start making infusions (choose only one of the proposed ones):

  • 7x Flask of Ten Thousand Scars (level 2) – 49x Star Rose, 70x Aithril, 70x Dreamleaf
  • 7x Flask of Countless Armies (level 2) – 49x Star Rose, 70x Aithril, 70x Foxflower
  • 7x Flask of Secret Agreement (level 2) – 49x Star Rose, 70x Fjarnskaggl, 70x Dreamleaf
  • 7x Flask of the Seventh Demon (level 2) – 49x Star Rose, 70x Fjarnskaggl, 70x Foxflower

If you have already unlocked the recipe for any level 3 infusion, you can craft it up to 780 skill points. If not, then continue creating infusions until you unlock level 3. Getting level 3 depends on luck - you might get lucky and unlock it on the tenth infusion you make, or you can make a hundred while staying at level 2 of the recipe.

7x Any Level 3 Flask – 14x Star Rose, 28x Some Herb, 28x Some Herb

The type of herb used depends on the recipe.

The only way to max out alchemy is to create level 3 infusions. These recipes will turn yellow between 780 and 790, green between 790 and 800. For the final stage you will need to prepare about 40 infusions, but the number will again depend on your luck.

40x Any infusion level 3 – 280x Star Rose, 400x Some kind of herb, 400x Some kind of herb

Again, the type of herb used will depend on the recipe chosen.

Note: Goblins have a +15 racial advantage to their alchemy skill, so this part will be much easier for them.

Upgrading Alchemy in Battle for Azeroth (1-150)

We have compiled a guide on leveling up Alchemy in Battle for Azeroth. In this guide you can find the fastest and most inexpensive way to fully level up Alchemy in BFA.

Alchemy pairs best with Herbalism. By combining these professions, you can save a huge amount of gold, because herbalists have the opportunity to farm all the resources necessary for Alchemy. If you don't have Herbalism, make sure you have enough gold to purchase the various herbs, as you will need quite a lot of them.

Studying a profession in BfA

There are two versions of Alchemy for different factions:

  • Kul Tiran alchemy for the Alliance.
  • Zandalari alchemy for the Horde.

The only difference between the professions is their name.

Alchemy Teachers:

  • Clever Kumali in Dazar'alor on the Craftsmen's Terrace. (Horde).
  • Elric Walgreen in Boralus at the Market of the Seven Winds (Alliance).

You can approach the guards in Boralus or Dazar'alor and ask them where the Alchemy teacher is. A marker will appear on your map, which will indicate the location of the desired NPC.

How to upgrade 1-150

  • 20 Coastal healing potions – 140 units. Siren pollen.
  • 20 Coastal Mana Potions – 140 units. River peas.

Create 3 potions of any type listed below.

As the famous Walter White said, “Alchemy is the queen of all sciences.” We will not refute this statement: in Black Desert alchemy plays, if not a key, then an essential role.

On the alchemy table, with a pumped-up skill, you can make potions for all occasions: improving combat skills, giving buffs during training peaceful professions, increasing movement speed, jump height, the amount of experience a character or mount receives, and changing many other parameters. And although the increase in characteristics is short-term, expensive potions in terms of the magnitude of the advantage gained easily give a head start to any dishes prepared using cooking.

Fast leveling of alchemy

Near the location of the Frontier of the Dead on the side of the Bear Village, namely not far from the NPC named Becker, there are large quantities of poisonous flytrap - a plant, the ingredients from which we will use for the first alchemical experiments. A novice alchemist knows almost nothing, with the exception of distilling healing tinctures and juice from cereals, but the development of professional skills in this way is extremely slow. Even beginners have access to a simple recipe, thanks to which they can rise to the rank of “Apprentice”. You will need carnivorous plant powder, which is obtained from the flytrap using a hoe.

Another required ingredient is Dark Dust. It drops randomly when you pick iron and lead deposits with a pickaxe. But if you decide to engage in alchemy “like an adult,” many of the components of potions and elixirs will be required on an industrial scale. You will have to become a slave owner: hire farm laborers, and having laid out a route to the node of interest, send them to extract resources. Dark Dust is a by-product that is supplied by workers from iron ore nodes.

An alchemy table is required for potion making and other activities. The simplest and cheapest one can be bought in any city from an NPC alichemist. A table is installed in the house, which is rented for influence points. When converting one portion of carnivorous plant powder and one portion of dark dust, we will receive a random amount of plant gunpowder (depending on the profession level) - a component for crafting bombs used in sieges of nodes and territories. If you are not a member of a guild, do not engage in crafting, or your guild does not engage in military operations, bring gunpowder to the auction: this is how alchemy will bring in the first income.

Not a bug, but a feature!

Any reputable alchemist's toolkit will certainly include a syringe used to extract animal blood and tree sap. It is blood that our interest will focus on when, having produced a sufficient amount of herbal gunpowder, we pump up our alchemy skill to the “Apprentice” level. Please note: the blood of many animals is rarely found at auction, so most likely you will have to obtain it yourself. At this same level, the production of many essences and potions becomes available, but the fastest way to level up your profession is by preparing the tinctures described below.

In alchemical Black recipes Desert, which can be found on the Internet, have one drawback: an overestimated number of ingredients. No, of course, and from the specified quantity you can prepare something useful, but a thrifty alchemist has all the components in check. It has been experimentally established that when using these recipes, the consumption of ingredients is reduced significantly:

Deity's blood: magic leaf, earth powder, reagent powder, cold blood (lizard, bat, worm or yellowbeak);
Tyrant's blood: monk branch, barbarian powder, powder reagent, blood of giants (bear, troll, ogre or dinosaur);
Jester's blood: magic leaf, dark powder, liquid reagent, dark blood (wolf, flamingo, wasteland dragon or buffalo);
Sinner's blood: blood tree branch, fire dust, liquid reagent, brown blood (deer, sheep, waragon, pig or bison);
Blood of the Sage: monk branch, repair powder, liquid reagent, blood of animals (fox, ferret, raccoon or monkey).

Important! All components, except animal blood, should be used in one part (and not in two, as indicated in most recipes). Use two parts of animal blood, not five.

Alchemical stones

Having received the “Professional” level, you can begin producing alchemical stones, which provide short-term buffs when used. There are 3 types of them:

Life Stone: increased crafting speed, cooking, alchemy, increased carrying capacity, fishing and gathering level, luck;

Stone of protection: reducing damage received, increasing defense, resistance, maximum health;

Stone of destruction: (increases attack power, accuracy, attack speed and casting skills, ignoring resistances.

To make one alchemical stone you will need 10 parts of the following components:

Liquid reagent;
Powder reagent;
Blood of a sinner;
Dust of centuries;
Shining powder.

Dust of centuries is a by-product of lead ore mining. Shining powder is one of the waste products that an alchemist obtains during the mass production of potions (by the way, it is very rare, unlike other slag).

Any alchemy stone has 8 upgrade levels (from imperfect to radiant) and 4 quality levels, like many items in the game (gray, green, blue and gold). The upgrade level can be increased by grinding, and the quality level can also randomly improve in the process. The level of improvement of the alchemical stone used affects the amount of increase in parameters, and the quality affects the number of buffed characteristics. Thus, the best stone is
shining, golden quality. Thanks to the strength and magnitude of the buffs applied, the cost of such a “charm” at auction is hundreds of millions of silver.

Grinding

In order to increase the level of improvement of the stone, it will have to be polished. For this we use:

Stone of life – selected vegetables, fruits and mushrooms;
Stone of protection - strong boards;
Stone of Destruction - pure ingots metals

Having polished the stone to 100% (or better yet, up to 150%), you can try to strengthen it with the help of the Black Stone (weapon).

Strong boards are obtained by heating plywood and wood strengthener using the crafting menu (L button), pure metal ingots are obtained by heating metal ingots and metal solvent. They are also used by crafters to produce many valuable items. Strong boards and pure ingots are expensive, but hardener and solvent can be easily cooked on an alchemy table, which is why almost all crafters are also alchemists.

When using an alchemy stone (U button, if it is equipped in the corresponding slot), its strength is reduced. You can charge the stone by adding oil, which is produced by alchemists. Like the blood of a jester or a tyrant, when making oil you can save on ingredients: one part of each is enough, proven experimentally. We will not give recipes: any alchemist will learn them on his own in the process of learning and completing quests for the profession. But we are alchemists, aren’t we?
