While you're here, open the arboretum's airlock. This is the third gateway you've unlocked, allowing you access to the Arboretum, Hardware Lab, and Psychotronics outside of Talos 1. The shuttle bay and power plant remain locked down. You can continue on to the residential section, but there are a few more places to check out before you leave the arboretum.

"Mirror"

Exit the data vault access area and find the Mirrors station nearby. Dr. Howard is on the roof of this station. Break the Mirrors screen to find a hidden room containing a first aid kit. Approach this area carefully. Just above the first aid kit there is a mine. Mimics rush through this shaft, taking the form of cardboard boxes. Eliminate the Mimics and go up through the shaft. Use your gypsum gun to create steps.

Path to Alex's office

Usually, you can get to Alex Yu's office using a gravity lift near the data warehouse. But this grav lift is disabled, requiring the Hacker IV ability to unlock. Fortunately, there is another way. While still on the roof of Mirror Station, reach up onto the ledge and look for a damaged electrical node spewing arcs of electricity. Use your gypsum gun to seal the panel, allowing you to make repairs.

This gives you the opportunity to search the body of Marietta Kirkos without getting electrocuted. Look for Marietta's body to get a pass to Jada Marks' cabin (accommodation section) and her transcriptor. Listen to the recording on the transcriptor to activate the new additional task. Continue down this path, under Alex's office. Follow the rocky ledge to the railing, right next to Alex's office.

Alex's office

Enter Alex's office and look around. Alex contacts you, expressing his displeasure that you broke into his office. Search the table to get a Neuromod. Weapon Upgrade Kit on the table. Alex's terminal is password protected and requires hacking (Hacker IV). So far, there is nothing interesting on the terminal. However, you will want to access it later.

There is a large crate in front of the maintenance hatch that leads to the secret compartment with Alex's safe. The crate can be removed if you have the Lift II ability. You can also use Mimicry I to turn yourself into a small object like the coffee mug on Alex's desk. Converting to a small object allows you to fit into the gap between the drawer and the access panel.

After searching Alex's office, exit and climb the nearest ladder leading to the roof. From here, you can see Alex's escape pod. You will need to get to Alex's terminal to activate the bridge leading to the escape pod. You can do this later if you decide to follow December's directive and leave the station. Now return to the beginning of your journey through the arboretum (Sagitta loading bay). It's time to make Dr. Howard's fertilizer.

Instead of heading straight for the living section, head to the Sagitta loading bay. Here you can craft Dr. Howard's Growth Formula in the Fabricator, and then use the resulting bag of fertilizer to create an experimental tomato.

Return to the experimental plant garden where you first found the note from Dr. Howard. Interact with the fertilizer distributor. Move Dr. Howard's growth formula from your inventory to the fertilizer dispenser. Then activate the dispenser by pressing the glowing button. This turns on the sprinkler control system and delivers a mixture of water and fertilizer to the plant.

It will take exactly ten minutes for the fruit to ripen. Explore other areas of the arboretum while you wait, or head to the living section. No one will steal your fruit, and you can pick it up later. If you are left, after ten minutes, collect Dr. Howard's farmed superfruit to complete this challenge. Eating the super fruit is required if you want to unlock the achievement/trophy - Gourmet from Transstar. However, in addition to it, you will need to try all the food and drinks on board the Talos 1 in order to get the achievement.

Residential section: foyer

It's time to visit the residential section in an attempt to find samples of Danielle Shaw's voice. Only after that you can return to the arboretum and gain access to the data warehouse. Go down the stairs to the entrance to the living section. A phantom can roam here if you haven't eliminated it before. Find the body of Lizzy Colton on the floor in front of the door to the living section. Gather the blueprint for 12 gauge ammo. There are also Russian pancakes on the floor behind the fountain. When you're done searching this area, enter the door leading to the living section.

residential section

Foyer

Right after entering the living section, be careful and crouch down. There are several mind-controlled crew members wandering around here. If you are spotted, then these victims run towards you, and their heads explode. Grab your Stunner Shocker and try to disable these crew members as you make your way to the nearest medical bay. The Stunner Shocker has a very limited range, so you need to sneak pretty close. After being electrocuted, the victims are rendered unconscious, posing no risk to you or themselves. As you move through the foyer, a voice is heard over the speakers, which will activate a new side mission.

Nightmare

If you haven't encountered the Typhon Nightmare in the Arboretum, then there's a good chance you'll encounter it at the entrance to the Living Section. The abundance of opponents makes the fight against the nightmare here extremely difficult. Try not to let him notice you, and in 20 minutes the nightmare will leave this place (but will still return).

medical bay

The door to the medical bay is barricaded with crates - you can move them if you have the Climb I ability. Otherwise, consider using Mimicry I to turn yourself into a small object, then slip through the cracks in the makeshift barricade. A salvage grenade can also work great. Inside you can find a first aid kit and a "anti-rad" blueprint. If you are injured, contact a medical operator for treatment before leaving the medical bay.

Concierge

Return to the lobby and try to avoid any infected crew members. An ethereal phantom lurks here as well. If you're spotted, be ready to pull out the K-Beam Launcher. Sneak behind the concierge desk to gain access to the security terminal. Here you can download a map of the residential section, as well as collect some information for the additional task Truthseeker. Be sure to read the email to get the code to the fitness center.

Post office

A post office is available next to the concierge desk. You can break open the door if you have the Hacker II ability. Otherwise, find the code in Anders Kline's Habitat Pod, located at the end of Crew Quarters B. Inside the Post Office, find Leah Macy's body and search the adjacent shelves. Collect three neuromods, a weapon upgrade kit, and several boxes of shotgun ammo.

recreation center

Then carefully cross the lobby to enter the recreation center. This two-story building was used as a resting and gathering place for the Talos-1 crew. Now it seems to be abandoned. Access the operations terminal at the first teleconferencing desk to receive an audio diary from Earth, in which one of the crew members is congratulated on his birthday.

Continue exploring the recreational center and grab your Stunner Taser. There might be some infected crew members here wandering the corridors, so be prepared to take them out. When you get close to a large TV, the screen starts to flicker and objects fly through the air, which is a sign of typhon poltergeist.

Typhon Poltergeists are invisible creatures that appear briefly when using their Typhon abilities. Scan it with your psychoscope when it appears. Scanning a poltergeist makes it easier to track once it becomes invisible. Poltergeists can deal heavy damage by throwing large objects and lifting you into the air with their Lifting Field ability. If the poltergeist threw you up to the ceiling, then use your Artax propulsion system to avoid falling damage. Your wrench is most effective against the poltergeist. Wait for it to show up, then quickly land a few hits. Use the psychoscope to monitor the movement of the typhon.

After destroying the poltergeist, climb the stairs of the recreational center to reach the second floor. Beware of Mimics lurking here. The big table is on the second floor. It looks like the game of Fortress of Doom was interrupted by a Typhon attack. Pick up Elias Black's transcriber to listen to the recording of the game session. The audio recording contains a sample of Danielle Shaw's voice, which increases processing by up to 20%. You will need to find more Shaw voice samples to access the data vault. In addition, Abigail Foy's cabin pass can be found on the table, as well as character sheets belonging to Elias Black, Emma Beatty, Zachary West, and Danielle Shaw. Pick up the note next to Elias Black's transcriber to open the Mechetyk Treasure Map. This will come in handy when you start the Treasure Hunt side quest.

Exit to the balcony of the second floor of the recreational center, overlooking the lobby. The body of Brett Seidel is next to the broken turret. Repair the turret and take it with you. Jump over the railing, then use your propulsion system to slow your descent.

Crew cabins B

With the turret in hand, cross the foyer and enter the crew quarters corridor B. This is where Danielle Shaw's cabin is located, where you'll find more voice samples. Deploy the turret at the entrance to the corridor and move slowly forward until you notice the phantom, which was once Ivy Song. Step back and let the turret take out this phantom. If necessary, provide support with the gypsum gun, slowing down the movement of the phantom. After that, check the remains to collect Ivy's things.

Cabin of Jorgen Thorstein

If you found Jorgen Thorstein's pass in the hardware lab, you can use it here to enter Thorstein's quarters (first door on the left). Here you can find a blueprint for a salvage grenade, a psychoscope chip, and an exotic material.

Sylvain Bellamy's cabin

Cabin of Hendrik Devries

The door to Hendrik Devries' cabin is not locked. Go inside and check the supplies. Here you will find the body of Matthias Kohl, sitting in a chair. It has several suit repair kits, an injector and a first aid kit. On the bed is a drawing of "anti-raid".

Daniella Shaw's cabin

The door to Danielle Shaw's cabin is not locked. Read the note. This is a message from Abigail Foy regarding some of Daniella's stuff. Judging from this note and numerous others found inside, Danielle Shaw was in a love relationship with Abigail Foy. Take the neuromod on the table, then enter the terminal. In the "Files" tab, download the conversation archive to access Daniella's audio diary, which further increases the progress of voice synthesis. Read the emails on the terminal to find out Dr. Calvino's password, as well as get a new side mission. There is also a letter from Skye Braxton mentioning a transcriber located in Skye's Habitat Pod - this might be worth checking out.

Daniella's broken transcriber is on the floor next to the bed. Fix the transcriptor to get two audio diaries, each containing Danielle's voice. Listen to both recordings ("Dear Futures 1" and "Dear Futures 2") to collect more voice samples.

Abigail Foy's cabin

Use the pass you received at the recreation center to enter Abigail Foy's cabin. Inside you can collect Neuromods and some Flexipena Darts. Check under Foy's desk for a note with her password. Use the password to enter the terminal. On the "Files" tab, you can download a drawing of darts, as well as an audio diary.

Listen to the "Get Out" audio to get another sample of Daniella's voice. The note on Abigail's desk is an invitation to an event at the Yellow Tulip located on the second floor. Apparently Daniella and Sky Braxton performed there.

Cabin of Lorenzo Calvino

Use the pass you received from Dr. Calvino's workshop to enter his quarters. Access the terminal and download four separate audio diaries. The notes contain personal notes describing the doctor's hallucinations and deteriorating memory. Listen to the third recording to get the code for Calvino's safe. The safe is located behind the "Mirrors" screen (turn off the "Mirror" to find it). Break the screen with your wrench to access the safe, which contains three Neuromods. You can also find an EM Charge on the table next to the bed.

Fitness center code

If you don't have the fitness center code yet, you can find it at the end of Crew Quarters B. Look for the note on the bench in the restroom.

Crew accommodation capsules

Assemble your turret and take it to the Habitat Room at the end of the hallway. Immediately deploy the turret near the doorway and watch for paranormal activity. Wait for the poltergeist to show himself, and then open fire with a shotgun. The turret is likely to be attacked by a poltergeist, so be prepared to reposition the turret if necessary. Given the combined firepower of the turret and your pistol, the poltergeist won't last long.

Once the poltergeist is destroyed, search the habitation pods. Start with the Anders Klein block (nameplates attached next to each capsule). Here you will find a note revealing the code to the post office located next to the concierge. If you haven't searched the post office yet, make this a priority - there are three Neuromods waiting for you there.

In the Sky Braxton pod, take the transcriptor to download the audio diary (I can sight-read) containing Daniella's voice. This was recorded prior to their musical performance at the Yellow Tulip. Sky used Neuromod to learn how to play a musical instrument in preparation for Alex's party. Listening to the recording puts you one step closer to the full synthesis of Danielle's voice.

sweetheart gift

Quest Description: Lawrence Baxter left a gift for his sweetheart, Ellie Gold, under the rocks next to the tree he carved their initials into in the arboretum. This gift is worth finding - perhaps there is something useful. Finding Ellie on the security terminal might lead me to the right place.

Lawrence Baxter's capsule is located just above Sky's capsule. To get to it, use your gypsum cannon to create steps out of the plaster on the wall directly opposite Baxter's pod. Find the transcript in the capsule containing the conversation between Ellie Gold and Laurence Baxter. Listen to the audio diary (Birthday Meeting) to trigger this side quest. You can return to the task as soon as you return to the arboretum.

Head to the last row of habitation pods and look for supplies and interesting items here. You can find Emma Beatty's Fortress of Doom character sheet in her pod, but no trace of her treasure map. Harley Granger's capsule contains an interesting journal entry that describes his past as a professional baseball player. There is also a rather disturbing note from Redgina Sellers - her child has nightmares about typhons. Before you leave this area, be sure to search the various lockers to collect supplies, including ammo and food.

Cafeteria

Return to the lobby and go to the cafeteria. Do not take the turret into the cafeteria with you, as there are several infected crew members inside. You don't want these victims to end up in the crossfire. Before entering, find the bodies of Patricia Wang and Joseph McSorley near the entrance. The Stunner Shocker is located next to Patricia Wang's body. There might be an ethereal phantom near the cafeteria, so be prepared to grab the K-Beam.

Sneak into the cafeteria without being seen. Use the Stunner Shocker to incapacitate infected crew members who get too close. All of them are under the control of a telepath. In the cafeteria, chef Will Mitchell says over the loudspeaker that he will talk to you if you eliminate all threats.

Cook's request (continued)

If you want to continue this optional task, you will have to destroy all the enemies in the cafeteria. Instead of tracking down every member of the crew under mind control, focus your attention on the telepath. Take the K-Beam and reload it (using any available weapon upgrades will also come in handy). Remain inconspicuous and keep a low profile until you have good review telepath. Open fire with the K-Beam and concentrate a stream of unstable particles at the telepath until it explodes. After killing a telepath, all of his victims will lose consciousness.

Now that the cafeteria is free of typhons, go to the window in the kitchen to talk to Will Mitchell. Despite your success, the chef is still skeptical. But he will let you into the kitchen if you bring a reward from his cabin. Take Will Mitchell's cabin pass and return to the lobby. The cook's quarters is in Crew Quarters Wing A.

Crew cabins A

Take the turret and go to the corridor of crew cabins A. Will Mitchell's cabin is located at the very end. Deploy your turret at the corridor entrance and start exploring. Notice the large box on the left side that partially blocks the channel leading to Sarah Elazar's cabin. If you have the Lift II ability, you can move the crate. Alternatively, use Mimicry I to turn yourself into a small object, like a towel on a nearby cart. This allows you to squeeze into the small gap between the box and the channel.

Sarah Elazar's cabin

Follow the small channel to Sarah Elazar's cabin and go through the glass behind the decorative tree to enter. Grab the silenced pistol and the shotgun from the gun cabinet next to the bed. Also find a weapon upgrade kit and ammo hidden in a briefcase by the table. If you have the Hacker II ability, you can access Sarah's terminal. Here you can download a blueprint for a weapon upgrade kit. There are also some interesting emails on the terminal, including one from Alex regarding Ekaterina Ilyushina. Alex is afraid that she is a security risk and doesn't want to let her near the labs. When you're done searching the cabin, open the door and return to the hallway.

Jada Marks cabin

Jada Marks' cabin is directly opposite Sarah Elazar's. Use the pass obtained from Marietta Kirkos at the Arboretum to unlock the door. Inside, you can get some handgun ammo, as well as a psychoscope chip. There is also a safe here that can be cracked if you have the Hacker IV ability. Or just use the code provided in the transcription entry by Marietta Kirkos.

Hans Kelstrup's cabin

Next, enter Hans Kelstrup's cabin using the pass from his body found in the psychotronics. With the exception of typhon bait, a few petri dishes and some snacks, there is nothing to take here. Strangely, Kelstrup's cabin is filled with many vessels containing organs. Some of the letters on his terminal indicate that Kelstrup had some kind of agreement with Will Mitchell about canned pears. What's going on here?

Dayo Igwe's cabin

The door to Dayo Igwe's cabin is not locked. Go inside and find the Neuromod and Suit Chip. If you have the Hacker II ability, you can access Igwe's terminal. On the "Files" tab, upload the drawing of the injector.

Cabin of Ekaterina Ilyushina

The door to Ekaterina Ilyushina's cabin is broken, but you can get through. Use the Mimicry I ability to transform yourself into a small object, such as the mug or glass from Dayo Igwe's cabin. This allows you to slip through the hole in the door. Letters on Ilyushina's terminal show that she was in contact with Annalize Gallegos. That's probably why Alex was suspicious of her. Other messages in the mail show that it was difficult for her to access various parts"Talos-1" due to insufficiently high pass level. Ilyushina was interested in volunteers in psychotronics, making her a likely accomplice of Annalize Gallegos.

ghost hunting

Before entering Will Mitchell's cabin, grab your turret and follow it to the restroom at the end of the hall. Two poltergeists settled here. Deploy your turret and load your shotgun. Soon the poltergeists will show themselves. Watch the faucets turn on and the doors swing open and close. Open fire as soon as the poltergeists show themselves and try to scan them with your psychoscope while they are visible. If you find yourself lifted into the air, remember to activate your propulsion system to slow down your descent.

Will Mitchell's cabin

Will Mitchell's cabin is directly opposite the toilet. Use the pass given by Mitchell to open the door. Take the transcriber on the table to get an audio diary (Operator Frying Pan) containing the voice of Danielle Shaw. You just need to find one more sample to synthesize Shaw's voice. Hack into Mitchell's terminal and read his letters to get the code to the Directors' Apartment. With it, you activate the grav-lift leading to the apartments of Morgan and Alex.

Kitchen

Jump over the counter in the cafeteria and enter the nearby doorway to access a small room. Note the traces of blood covering the floor and walls. Something is wrong here. The door to the kitchen is still closed, but you can hear Mitchell bustling about inside. Wait a few seconds, then enter.

The kitchen is expected to contain a lot of food, but also other items, including a turret and a couple of salvaging grenades. There is also a living section fabricator located here. Mitchell is assisted in his culinary duties by a custom operator named Skovoroda. As you look around the kitchen, Will Mitchell complains about a broken water pressure regulator.

After fixing the water pressure regulator, Will Mitchell will agree to give you access to the freezer. But there's something wrong with this guy. Wait for Mitchell to open the freezer door to get the code. But don't come in just yet. Take out your Stunner Shocker and fire a blast at Will Mitchell. You will thank yourself later. Search Mitchell's body for two Neuromods and a kitchen pass.

cook pretender

As you realize later, this "cook" is actually an impostor. If you enter the freezer, it will lock you inside and then constantly taunt you through the loudspeakers as you explore Talos 1. Worse still, he's planting utilizing grenade traps all over the station. So it's better to stop him right away in the kitchen. The real Will Mitchell's tracking bracelet is in the blood box inside the freezer.

freezer

Open the sliding door to the next storage area for a shocking new discovery. Here you will find the bodies of Chloe Burgess and Kevin Sabian, the apparent victims of the impostor. In this vault, grab some K-Beam ammo, a suit chip, and three Neuromods before heading out.

Find the last storage room in the freezer. Here lies the body of Abigail Foy, another victim of the pretend cook. Search Foy's body for a transcript containing the entry (Knock on the Window) from Danielle Shaw. Unable to contact Abigail, Daniella asks her to come to the fitness center. If you're trapped in the freezer, the maintenance hatch in this room behind the ice block is your way out. Open the hatch and then use the Mimicry I ability to turn yourself into one of the nearby pizza boxes. This allows you to slip into the gap between the ice block and the open channel. Alternatively, you can remove the obstruction if you have the Climb II ability. The third option is to use a salvage grenade. But the easiest way is to shoot the gas pipe in the corner. The fire will melt the ice block, after which you can return to the kitchen.

A fitness center

Exit the kitchen and head towards the entrance to the fitness center. Enter the code you retrieved from the terminal at the concierge desk. Like the cafeteria, the fitness center is filled with telepathically controlled crew members. Use the Stunner Shocker to incapacitate people who attack you.

The telepath is most likely located near the pool. When you get a good view, use the K-Beam and focus the beam on the Typhon until it explodes. After the kill, all telepathically controlled crew members will lose consciousness.

AT Prey (2017) there are one and a half to two dozen side quests. Most of them are quite simple and the main difficulty lies, rather, with their activation, rather than with a journey from one marker to another. But there are some difficult tasks, within the framework of which no one will lead you by the hand. One of these is the "Treasure Hunt" quest.

How to get the Treasure Hunt quest?

To do this, you need to visit the "Residential Section" location and go to two wings with crew cabins. You will visit Daniella Shaw's cabin as part of story quest when you record the standards of her speech. At the terminal in Shaw's cabin, look into the e-mail and read the letter under the same name.

Where can you find all the cards?

The first part of the task will be relatively easy for those players in computer games that scour every corner of the game world. You need to find a total of four treasure maps:

  • The 1st of them can be found already before you activate the quest. You need to search the corpse of Zechariah Vesta at the Arboretum location. Take the gravity lift down to the front door to another location, in the "Data Vault". The body lies right in front of the door.
  • Elias Black's card is located in the "Residential Section" in the recreation center, on the second floor. Lies on a table with many other items.
  • Emma Beatty's card can be found when visiting the fitness center in the Residential Section. When you open it, then go down the corridor to the right and search the corpse around the corner, in the middle of the fire.
  • Daniella Shaw's map must be downloaded from her personal terminal in the office. The office is located in the "Data Warehouse". Climb up and load the map from the files.
  • How to study treasure maps?

    As soon as you find the cards, the rest of the goals will appear. They are related to the study of these maps. You have to look at the cards and understand what kind of space is depicted on them. Any card leads to a wall with a certain number. All digits make up the four-digit code "1365". But! To complete the quest, you MUST find these spaces. That's the only way to get merit. By the way, at each of these spaces you need to stand for a few seconds until the task is updated (standing facing the number on the wall).

  • To find the number "1", set sail for the SAGITTA location. At the same time, it is best to switch to it only from the arboretum. When you do this, then fly to the very bottom of the mine, literally after a few turns, until you see the entrance to the fuel storage. There will be a room with ordinary gravity. Jump over the broken bridge to be in front of the doors to the shuttle bay. To the right of the doors, in the corner opposite the gravity lifts, you will find a number (on the wall).
  • To search for the number "3", follow the "Life Support" compartment and go to the water treatment plant. Then go to the far left corner (below) and find the number on the wall.
  • The number "6" is in the "Residential Section". After going through it, go up the stairs to the left and turn into the left door, where the utilizer is located (2nd floor). On the wall on the side of the utilizer (to the left) there will be a number.
  • The number "5" is placed in the cargo compartment. Go to it from the power plant and immediately turn left. Here is the container. There is a number on the wall behind the container.
  • Once all the numbers have been collected (in general, all task items are marked as completed), go back to the "Residential Section" and go to Abigail Foy's cabin. On the terminal, go to the utilities and enter the purchased code into the Treasure Hunt. The treasure will automatically load. And the merit will be the drawing of the Adventurer's Arsenal chip, which increases certain characteristics. Craft it to find out exactly what it gives.

    It's time to go to a new location. From the arboretum, go past the security office and go downstairs. Unlock the door and go to the next level.

    Once at the location, kill several infected. Walk forward and hear the chef's monologue. The additional quest "Cook's Request" will begin.

    In the meantime, go to the room on the right, to the recreation center. Here, kill the Poltergeist and the normal enemy. You can climb higher, but you should not rush. Go back, standing with your back to the beginning, there is a ladder on the left. Go to the right of it, move the boxes and you will find yourself in the medical compartment.

    Collect useful items, and then boldly climb the same stairs. In the room on the left there is a phantom - Regina Sellers. So, after killing her, during the search, you can find the key card “Restricted Drugs”. If you remember, this closed room is located on the location "Hall of Talos-1" or "Department of Neuromods".

    Directors' apartments

    Koka's request

    Follow the marker and destroy the Technopath. Deal with the remaining opponents, and then approach the blinds to speak with the cook. He will give a key card to his apartment and ask him to find a reward.


    Cook

    Go to the indicated place, but be careful - there is water on the floor in the corridor, and an electric phantom is waiting for you ahead. Lure him out without getting too close and kill him. Go to Mitchell's room and listen to the recording from the transcriptor lying on the table. You will process 10% of Shaw's vote on the quest "Gathering votes"!

    Examine the computer terminal, which contains the password from the directors' apartments (elevator). Collect the Best Chef award from the bedside table, then return to Mitchell in the cafeteria. Give the reward and go inside - he will open the door on the side. After talking, you will receive a new task. He asks to repair the faucet. The necessary part is located at the Arboretum location, in the greenhouse. You will need to kill the Technopath and the infected. In addition, to get inside, you have to hack the terminal.

    Go to the recreation center and go up to the second floor. Find the card key to Abigail Foy's cabin on the table. Follow the marker and open the cabin. In the same terminal, listen to the audio recording of the conversation. It's already 90%.

    During the passage of Prey, you will have access to various additional quests. Most of them should not cause you any difficulties, since it is enough just to follow the marker marked on the map and fulfill the specific requirements. However, there are quests such as Treasure Hunt, where you need to find the right solutions on your own. It's about passing this quest and will be discussed in today's article.

    In order to take the treasure hunt quest, go to the location residential section. Here you need to find the cabins of the crew members. If you follow storyline, you will need to record Danielle Shaw's speech samples. In Daniella's cabin, check the email on the terminal. After reading the corresponding letter, you will start the task.


    Where to find treasure maps

    1. To find the first card, you need to go to the Arboretum and search the body of Zechariah West. Many players, myself included, find this card before starting the quest, as the corpse lies on the way to the Living Section. In the Arboretum, you need to go down to the exit to the Data Storage location, the body will lie near the door.
    2. Elias Black's card can be found in the recreational center on the second floor of the Residential Section. She will be on the table.
    3. While in the Residential Section, head to the fitness center to find Emma Beatty's card. After entering the center, follow the corridor to the right, and then find and search the body near the fire.
    4. To find Danielle Shaw's map, head to the Data Vault. Upstairs you will find her office with a terminal, the map is loaded directly from it.

    Examining Treasure Maps

    However, the quest is not limited to searching for cards. After finding them, you need to guess which place is shown on the maps. Each card shows the path to the wall, which shows one of the 4 numbers. After all the numbers are found, you should get the code "1365".

    Note: the reward can only be received if you personally find these places on the map. Each number must be scanned with a psychoscope.

    1. You will find the number "1" in the SAGITTA location, in the Fuel Storage (engineering level B). From the cargo tunnel, go to the farthest room, the number will be shown in the corner opposite the gravity lifts.
    2. The number "3" is located in the Life Support location. If you look at the map, then the number is to the right of the lowest circle in the water treatment plant.
    3. The number "6" can be found in the Residential section. If you look at the map, then the figure is located in the far left room (with a utilizer) from the Yellow Tulip. To do this, go up the stairs and turn left.
    4. To search for the number "5", go to the Cargo Bay. If you look at the map, the number is in the lower left corner of the SAGITTA Loading Bay.

    After all the numbers have been found, go to the Residential section. Here, find Abigail Foy's cabin, where you need to enter the received code in the terminal utilities. As a reward, you will receive a blueprint for the Adventurer's Arsenal chip, after crafting which you will receive good stats.

    Treasure hunting is an optional objective in Prey. It involves finding four treasure maps that can be obtained from members game group Fatal Fortress led by Abigail Foy. Each card has a hint - when you find out what they indicate and visit the right places, you will be able to get special award. Maps are not easy to find, and clues are even harder to decipher. Therefore, we decided to write a guide to the location of all treasure maps in the game and deciphering the clues.

    To start this quest, you need to check Daniel Shaw's computer in the Crew Bay. It contains an email titled "Treasure Hunt", which tells the backstory of the game. After that, you will have the corresponding task in the quest log.

    Location: This map can be found in the Arboretum. It is located on the first floor near the gateway. To get there, use the Deep Vault elevator on the main level. Once in the right place, you will find the body of Zachary West. Search it and find the map. The clue points to a room with three round objects in the middle.

    Solution: The clue points to the Life Support Bay. The second underground level (B2) has a water treatment facility. The place the map points to is a wall with the number "3" written on it. Zoom in on the number (enlarge your view) until part of it is written in your quest log.

    Location: The Elias Map can be found in the Crew Quarters located in the Recreation Center on Level 2. Once you get there, you'll see a large table with a giant screen showing Fatal Fortress. The card is on a table near the Captain Stubfellow character sheet.

    Solution: It's right here in the living section. Go to the recycling room, located on the 2nd level west of the Yellow Tulip (Yellow Tulip). When you enter here, you will see a large "6" on the wall next to the recycler. Scan it to complete the task.

    Location: This map is right next to Emma. She is still alive and you can find her at level 1 in the Crew Quarters. Look in the corridor opposite the locker room of the fitness center. Unfortunately, the girl will be under someone else's control, so you will have to deal with her one way or another.

    Solution: To find Rosalina's clue, you will need to go to the cargo hold. Once there, reach level 1 and head to the GUTS loading bay located in the southwest corner of the map. You will find the number 5 on the wall near the container. Scan it to fix the clue.

    Location: Daniella's map is at her work station on level 2 of the Deep Vault. The terminal you need is located in the command center, but it will be guarded by several Mimics and a fire phantom. Nearby is a turret that can help you in the battle.

    Solution: Melindra's map will point to GUTS. Her clue is located in the Fuel Storage next to the elevator and entrance to the Shuttle Bay. Point the camera at the number "1" written on the wall to capture it in the magazine.

    After solving all the puzzles, return to the Crew Quarters. You can find your reward in Abigail Foy's cabin. You can open the safe using the combination 3165. However, in some cases, the code 1365 works.

    Important to know: don't try to cheat! If you try to enter the code without finding all the clues from the treasure maps, you will receive a nasty debuff that will slow down the scanning speed and reduce the intensity of the flashlight.
