Black Desert. NPC buffs. NPC Useful Location: City of Velia

It's no secret that mini-games become an integral part of any good game. After all, such entertainments that appear in a familiar or new world for us always arouse interest, especially if they are not as simple as they seem at first glance, and even beneficial for the player. One of these mini-games, which, at one time, caused a lot of bewilderment among players in all CBT and OBT Korean version Black Desert Online- mini game Communication with NPCs.

If you've followed the game even a little, then you know that each character and NPC has a constellation under which he was born. This constellation is the foundation of this mini-game.

What needs to be done in it? Everything is quite simple, and if you follow the game prompts, then it’s completely elementary. That is why I decided to write this guide.

So, let's get to the point. Each character has a list of knowledge that you can talk to them about. Games will be most effective when the amount of knowledge required is maximum.

The mini-game allows you to "make friends" with a character and get bonuses from him, for example:
Knowledge
Quests
Friendship Store
Gain or talk

Any of these options can be extremely useful for you. Hidden quests can give you extra influence and skill points, knowledge can give you extra energy, and you can buy something interesting in the friendship shops.

Now let's go directly to the game. It can be started by clicking on the Communicate button when talking to an NPC.

Below is knowledge about the NPCs he knows, namely the inhabitants of Velia, because he is the headman of this town. In the center is a constellation, on which you need to place knowledge in turn, achieving the best effect or task indicated above.

There are several types of tasks:
1. Just talk to the character. In this case, the location of knowledge in the constellation is not important. But still, it is better to try to arouse the greatest interest due to their correct location.
2. Arouse interest N-th number of times. Here we need to evoke a positive outcome when communicating about each knowledge.
3. Fail interest N-th number of times. Here everything is completely opposite - we have to disappoint our NPC in the conversation.
4. Accumulate N-th amount of sympathy. It is necessary to build a chain of knowledge in such a way as to get the greatest amount of sympathy with positive interest.
5. Raise the maximum sympathy to the Nth amount. Here - similarly to the previous version, only the calculation of the value is based on the effect of knowledge, and not its property.

Now, to clarify all of the above, consider the characteristics of NPCs and knowledge.

NPCs and knowledge have 2 characteristics: interest and liking, which affect the positive or negative outcomes in the mini-game.

In order to interest the NPC in communication, you need to set the knowledge so that the interest is equal to or higher than that of him. For knowledge, next to the value of interest, the percentage of success is indicated in parentheses.

Sympathy is the same system, only in the case of it we are already guided by two parameters - we need to arouse positive interest and at the same time use knowledge with higher sympathy. After all, there is knowledge with high interest, but low sympathy. Sometimes you have to take risks and choose knowledge that does not have a 100% chance of being interesting in order to gain the desired sympathy value.

In such cases, knowledge can help you, which give some bonuses to the knowledge that follows them, for example, + to interest or sympathy, which just can help achieve your goal.

Upon successful completion of the task, you are faced with a choice. You can score more points without having to spend more energy on the mini-game, but at the risk of losing the accumulated energy later. Or you can take back what you got for winning. You can continue the game 2 times, and in fact, this is the most effective way. It's better to be able to get 80-100+ friendship points than to lose 10-15 in the first game.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. The mini-game requires energy points, so you won't be able to play it endlessly, achieving high values. The higher you climb to your cherished goal, the more expensive the game will be. If at the beginning the game costs 2 energy, then approaching 1000 friendship points, it requires 10 energy. And this is quite a lot, given the possibility of losing in the first round.

That seems to be all. Leave questions and comments in the comments.

Chatting with NPCs is one way to build friendships with them. In addition to communication, relationships can be improved by simple greetings. At a certain level of relationship, NPCs provide the player with new opportunities.

To greet an NPC, approach them and press F1. You will have to spend a little energy on a greeting, but this way you can quickly increase the level of relations. For 3 energy points you will get 3 friendship points. If the NPC sells any items, some of them may be unavailable (marked in gray) at a low relationship level. The player needs to build relationships with each NPC individually. As an example, consider Lawrence Murray, a stable keeper in the city of Velia. You can quickly buy low-level horse equipment from him, because. the mini-game to communicate with him is quite simple and does not require much knowledge.

1. Basics

To start a conversation, you need 10 units. energy and some knowledge about the city or village. The more knowledge you have, the more choice of NPCs to discuss.

For getting additional information for knowledge, see Knowledge System Guide.

Approach the desired NPC, press R and select Socialize. The lower left corner of the window displays the current level of relations with this NPC. In the center of the screen, an indicator of your interlocutor's interest in other residents of the city with whom you have already met is displayed. To expand the range of topics, you need to acquire additional knowledge.

In the communication interface, you can see a diagram with circles and lines connecting them. Lines indicate the order in which topics are discussed (NIP). The list of available themes is displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. Click right click click on the portraits to add them to the discussion, and then click the Start button. You have 3 attempts.

Each topic is of particular interest to your interlocutor. The interest indicator is displayed when you hover over the portrait of the NPC in question. The amount of friendship points you get for a mini-game depends on the indicator of interest that you arouse in the interlocutor. When discussing a particular topic, you can see the result in the form of a happy or sad emoticon. If the topic has not aroused interest, you will not receive friendship points. In addition to the Interest Score, each topic has a Performance Score (the number of Friendship Points you typically get when discussing). In other words, for each topic, the interest rate is determined by the percentage of successful discussions.

The target of the dialog is displayed at the top of the screen. If you fail to complete the goal, you lose friendship points, and the dialogue closes. If the goal has been reached, you can close the story exchange window and get the points you are due, or continue the dialogue at the risk of losing everything that was previously earned.

2. Types of goals for assignments

Generate interest N times in a row

To complete this task, you need to interest the interlocutor a sufficient number of times. The exact amount depends on the wording of the assignment. For example, if the goal is to generate interest twice in a row, we need to put the topics in the right order, i.e. two portraits of NPCs with a high interest score should be placed side by side. In this example, the task is to generate interest four times in a row, so we chose topics with a high interest score. So, Marcella with an interest score of 41 gives a 100% chance of success.

To complete this task, it is necessary to cause a negative reaction from the interlocutor. If successful, you will not receive friendship points, but you will be able to continue the mini-game without having to spend 10 additional energy points. To complete this type of task, choose topics that are not interesting to your interlocutor. In this example, the NPC Pulvio was chosen with an interest score of 3 and a success rate of 9%.

The goal of this game is to accumulate as many sympathy points as possible. Choose an NPC that your interlocutor likes. For such a task, you will receive some friendship points and will be able to continue the mini-game.

To complete this task, you need to win the sympathy of the interlocutor. In this example, it is required to score at least 38 points of maximum sympathy. Picking the topic, we see that Zelda's Like Score is 32-37, however, the Performance Score tells us that this topic hasn't earned many Max Like Points before, so another topic with a higher chance of success should be chosen.

Chatting with the interlocutor on various topics, we managed to score 51 sympathy points and complete the task.

This goal means that you can talk about anything. In order to get as many friendship points as possible, choose interesting topics that are related to each other.

Related topics cause additional interest and bring additional sympathy points. Relationships between topics are indicated by glowing lines. Each topic has an Influence on Other Knowledge tooltip that allows you to make connections between topics. There are topics that cannot be linked. In the screenshot, Santo Manzi's tooltip reads: "After turn 2, knowledge gains +3 liking on turn 4." Despite the shortcomings of the translation, it can be understood that this topic must be placed in the second slot in order to get +3 liking for the topic in the fourth slot. In addition, the screenshot shows that the three themes are connected (glowing lines). When hovering over a topic, you can see the like bonus from each link. In this example, this bonus is 4 (blue text "+4").

Some NPC stores have items that require a certain level of relationship to purchase. By improving your attitude, you will be able to purchase these items at the advertised price. When purchasing items, friendship points are deducted from the total. If the NPC doesn't have a shop, they may give you a rare item, quest, or knowledge when their attitude improves. As you can see from the screenshot, after improving the attitude, you can buy 3 new items from the NPC that were not available before, namely: Light Leather Saddle, Steel Horseshoes and Light Leather Stirrup. Under each item, the required relationship level is displayed. To purchase each item, you will have to spend 100 friendship points. The current number of friendship points is indicated in the lower left corner of the screen.

April 19 at Black Desert Online has been added new system in which you can be in a warm relationship with the NPCs. You can give gifts to certain NPCs to increase your friendship, tell about your love for NPCs and get a special title if you are in a romantic relationship with an NPC.

Step 1: Choose an NPC
You can confess warm feelings to the following NPCs:
Crio is a fishmonger in Velia;
Eileen is an alchemist in Velia;
Valks - Commander of the Trina Order in Calpheon;
Bahar is a merchant in Velia;
Brego - Master of the Order of Delpe in the Castle of the Knights of Delpe;
Leona - Priestess Elion in Calpheon;
Grace Lauren is the owner of the May Lily of the Valley in Heidel;
Ellyn Reith - Parliamentarian Kallis in Calpheon;
Isabelle Enkroscher - representative of the Saiyan Union in Heidel;
Dominic Earne - Parliamentarian Kallis in Calpheon;
Santo Manzi - manager in Velia;
Annalisa is a librarian in Calpheon;
Rwensley is the armorer of the temple in the Forest Guard Post;
Ornella - a gunsmith in Heidel;
Akhona Kirus - the village of Tariffa;
Aru Aru - Valencia.

Step 2: Level up your friendship
Once you've chosen who to express your feelings to, it's time to level up the friendship. Show your favor to the NPC through dialogue, or choose the "Give a Gift" option when you interact with him (R).
You can increase friendship quickly by bringing goods and items to NPCs (only items worth less than 50 million silver).

You can find out what "Featured Items" NPCs are. If you donate such an item, you will get even more friendship.
If you give a gift, then you will spend 5 energy points. When the friendship with the NPC reaches 1000, it will be possible to "tell" the NPC about your feelings.

Step 3: Wait for a response
After you confess your feelings, the NPC will take some time to think. After the following works, you will receive a response via in-game mail.
If the NPC accepts your confession, you will become his (her) lover and receive a special title in the game with a certain color. But your friendship with this NPC will decrease by 10%.
If you are rejected, you will receive nothing and friendship will decrease by 5%.

Step 4: Nothing lasts forever
NPC dating can be enjoyed by all players. Whether you become a couple or not is calculated based on the ratio "How much friendship you have with this NPC" / "Total friendship of all players who confessed to this NPC in the same week."
So, even if you don't have the highest friendship out of the group, you still have a chance! However, the higher your friendship with the NPC, the higher your chances.
Unfortunately, your newfound relationship may only last a week. Other adventurers may continue to be recognized, and your favorite NPC may choose someone else after the week is up. However, if you have the highest friendship score with that NPC, you will be able to continue to maintain that relationship.
So keep talking and expressing your affection to keep your friendship alive.
If an NPC decides to break up with you, you will receive a farewell letter to your in-game mail.
Keep in mind that you cannot confess to a new NPC while you are in a relationship with it.
What is the purpose of such a relationship?
If 5 NPCs accept your confession, you will earn a special in-game title "Don Juan".
If 10 NPCs accept your confession, you will earn a special in-game title "Casanova".

The theme of energy in Black Desert is, without exaggeration, one of the main topics that absolutely any player should pay attention to. In the virtual world of this Korean MMORPG, energy is almost the most important currency. Energy in Black Desert is inextricably linked with knowledge, which is also a very extensive and interesting topic.

Knowledge about the world around, history, science, monsters and much, much more awaits adventurers at almost every turn. virtual world. And if at the beginning of the game it seems that all this information is absolutely useless, then with an increase in the level comes the realization of the importance of knowledge: after all, the maximum energy directly depends on their amount. game character, and from their quality - drop and damage to enemies.

This article will tell beginners about what knowledge is, what it is, as well as how you can increase the maximum energy of the character and use its capabilities to the maximum.

The number of energy points is shown on the main game screen in the upper left corner, next to the character level. By analogy with real life, in the world of Black Desert, energy is spent on almost all actions: collecting resources, various crafting, talking, gaining knowledge, pumping skills and much more. Accordingly, the more energy a character has, the more opportunities.

This indicator consists of two values (written with a slash). The first number is the unused energy points currently available, the second is the maximum amount of energy for the character at the current moment. The newly created Persian has a value of 0/30.

In order for the energy to be replenished to the maximum amount, there are several ways:

  1. It restores itself by 1 unit every three minutes (online) and 1 unit every hour (offline).
  2. Completing some tasks, especially daily ones, can also bring the character 3-5 "points" of energy.
  3. Purchased "energy boosters", such as a glass of wine, will restore vitality for 3 points.
  4. Sleeping in beds (which will be discussed in more detail below) can significantly increase the rate of energy recovery.
  5. Energy banks, in which you can "canned" your (temporarily unnecessary) energy or the energy of twink characters from the family, are another way to significantly expand your capabilities when necessary.
  6. Various buffs and other "goodies" from the in-game store that are bought with pearls, such as Elion's Blessing (+2 energy recovery rate for 15 days). In addition, by opening a chest with pearls purchased for real money, the character will also temporarily receive a bonus to energy recovery.

Supplementing the above, it must be said that for a day of continuous online, a character can receive a maximum of 480 energy points, so if you need more energy, you will have to use various "dopings".

In the system of “play life” of BDO, beds occupy a very important place. Many players do not attach sufficient importance to this type of furniture, but if there is a mood for long game and high-quality pumping, you should never underestimate the benefits of beds in Black Desert.

Any bed can only be placed inside your own home, i.e. In order to enjoy the "bed" benefits, it is imperative to invest influence points in acquiring residential property.

There are many types of beds in the game. The simplest ones - Bed from Velia and Bed from Heidel - can be purchased from furniture NPCs in their respective cities. To do this, it will be necessary to pump friendship with them up to 500 and 1000 points, respectively. Sleeping on these beds will speed up the recovery of the player character's energy by 1.

Also, the Bed from Calpheon can increase the energy gain by 1 unit (you can get it for free for the culinary task chain in Kalfa), as well as crafting beds, which are quite easy to create with the help of a hired worker in the furniture workshop.

In addition to simple beds available to everyone, Black Desert has special beds that are part of beautiful furniture sets that can only be purchased in the premium store for real money. Such furniture (Goblin bed, bone-decorated bed, palm bed and others) costs 250 pearls (rubles) and will be able to increase energy recovery by as much as 2 units.

However, even “mere mortals” can afford such an increase in energy, because the Korean MMORPG provides one more bed - a reward for completing the achievement of 1000 hours of play with one account. Upon receipt of this, without exaggeration, an honorary award, the player is offered a choice of "woolen", "snake" or "leather" bed. They all have the same characteristics, differing only in design and appearance.

! Interesting note: if the gaming house that was purchased does not have a high enough ceiling, then you should not buy and install high beds in it - there is a very high chance of getting your head stuck in textures when “awakening”.

No matter what bed you have and no matter what game buffs you use, if the character’s maximum energy remains at 30, you won’t be able to develop and develop in the game world. Therefore, any player should definitely take up increasing the maximum amount of energy in Black Desert, and this should be done by gaining knowledge.

The knowledge menu is opened by pressing the "H" button. In the list that opens, you can see all existing Black in the world today. Desert Knowledge. The following categories give an increase in maximum energy: People, Terrain, Islands, Ecology, Adventure, Science. The remaining three subsections (Crafts, Acquaintance with the Black Desert, Trade) do not provide an increase in parameters.

The same menu indicates how much this or that group of knowledge increases the maximum energy indicator. Usually half of the "collection" of knowledge gives 1-2 energy, and the whole group assembled can increase the desired indicator by 4-6 points. The amount of growth depends on the amount of knowledge in the group.

There are huge groups of knowledge (45 - 50 pieces each), and there are also very small ones, consisting of only one item. For collecting a collection of any size, you can get a bonus to energy.

An interesting observation on the topic: sometimes the development team, along with the next patch, also introduces changes in the knowledge system: let's say, earlier in the "collection" there were 10 knowledge, but now it's 11. In this case, if the group has already been studied and the reward in the form of additional "points energy received, then it will remain so. That is, the player will not be deprived of honestly earned energy points, and obtaining the last, 11th knowledge, will not affect the maximum indicator in any way.

! An important element, which increases the maximum amount of energy in Black Desert, are also titles. This topic is very capacious and requires a separate article, therefore, in the framework of today's discussion, we will only note that the number of titles received in the game can increase the maximum energy reserve to +8 units.

Very important to understand is the fact of energy distribution between members of the game "family" - that is, characters created on the same account, server and under the same last name. The trick is that all family members have the same amount of maximum energy (due to common knowledge), but everyone has their own consumption. That is, if at least one character of the account raises the level of maximum energy, say, to 300, then all the rest, even newly created characters, will have the value "0/300" in the "Energy" line.

From this, it should be concluded that in a week or two, all created characters with the same name, even while offline, will accumulate the maximum number of “points” of energy, and these most valuable reserves can be used for various “family” needs. If it is necessary to spend energy on a specific character (say, to pump some skill to him), then the “preservation”, which was mentioned earlier, will help a lot in such a situation. You will just need to enter the game with "child" characters and have a special NPC process their energy into banks that any member of the family can easily use.

All of the above directly indicates that if a player is really serious about the game and wants to get the most out of it, it would be very advisable to create the maximum number of characters on the account (even if they are not planned to be played) and from time to time "drain" their energy.

Knowledge in one form or another is found in many major games. Usually they are there only to create the necessary atmosphere or to entertain those who like to read all the quests and understand the history of the virtual world in which to play.

In Black Desert, knowledge has a wider function. In addition to the above interest, they carry a tangible benefit - an increase in the maximum level of energy.

Almost immediately after the character enters the game world, you can see that everything in Black Desert has its own little history. Whether it's a monster, city, NPC, building - all these items in the game are accompanied by relevant knowledge. A lot of knowledge can be obtained just like that, without even straining, but this is not always the case. There are even more complex knowledge - for example, about religion or adventure. They are not so easy to get, and often you have to contrive and pretty much run around the locations in order to get the necessary information in your "piggy bank".

"Multiple" knowledge. How is "C" different from "S"?

There are several other subtleties in the knowledge system. For example, knowledge ranks, which always cause a lot of discussion among players. The fact is that some knowledge (from the sections "Ecology" and "Trade") has a kind of quality indicator - a rank. The higher the rank of knowledge, the more useful it is. But how can knowledge be useful in Black Desert, in addition to the previously announced increase in maximum energy? The fact is that the rank of knowledge about a monster or a product can greatly facilitate the battle or sale (respectively).

  • The simplest knowledge of the "C"-rank allows you to see the life bar of hostile monsters.
  • Knowledge of the "B"-rank increases the character's defense indicators in battle with this enemy.
  • "A" and "A +" - more rare drop-down ranks - will help to inflict more damage on enemies, all other things being equal.
  • The most valuable and desirable knowledge of the “S”-rank increases the quantity and quality of “drop” from mobs, including experience.

It should be noted that the “S”-rank knowledge obtained from the Boss is a rare piece of luck, which will later do good service, because the chance of getting parts of the boss set from a player with such knowledge is higher than the rest.

The most frequently appearing knowledge is, of course, “C”- and “B”-rank. At the same time, you need to know that if low-level knowledge has already been received from a mob, then it is impossible to increase the rank of existing knowledge. One can only remove this knowledge and try to get a new, more high level. This procedure can be done indefinitely, as long as there is enough patience.

It is possible to delete any knowledge in Black Desert, and the NPC librarian, Annalize, who "lives" in the central library of the city of Calpheon, will help in this. By the way, if you wander around the library and take a closer look at the bookshelves, you can get a lot of interesting knowledge and even collect several collections.

The cost of removing knowledge from Annalize is 10 energy. In addition, there is also the Elixir of Oblivion, which allows you to remove knowledge anywhere without resorting to the help of a librarian.

In addition to deletion, there is also a reverse procedure: knowledge can be bought for in-game silver. So, in despair to knock out the necessary knowledge about some Bhega or Muskan, you can go to a special NPC and get the necessary information for a tidy sum of in-game silver. Just keep in mind - often the amount will be very “tidy”.

Quite a lot of knowledge can be obtained simply by doing story quests and auxiliary tasks of the NPS. Knowledge about the terrain, islands, nodes - are obtained automatically when visiting them. Knowledge about people, non-gaming Black characters Desert, most often given during dialogue with them. You will recognize fish by catching several pieces of the same species, monsters by killing a certain number of them.

However, there is in the world of Black Desert and such knowledge that it is not easy to get. In addition, the total amount of knowledge is amazing - today there are about 2100 of them, and this figure is constantly growing, because new areas, classes, NPCs are added to the game.

In order to explore the huge layer of game knowledge to the maximum, you must try to complete absolutely all quests, be as careful as possible at every step, because valuable knowledge can be hidden right under your nose. It is very important to develop relationships with NPCs, because many stories they tell only to close friends. As soon as you see a special sign around the NPC (a blue circle with a question mark on the ground), immediately slow it down, start a friendship and finally get knowledge.

And, perhaps, the most important advice - try to start exploring the vast world of Black Desert as early as possible. There is nothing sadder than the sight of a level 55+ character who kills low-level mobs in the vicinity of Olivia, because he does not have enough knowledge about some treecrab or goblin to collect. Be friends with everyone you can (and cannot) be friends with. Try to squeeze all the knowledge out of this game - believe me, then it will play in your favor.
