Story

All his life, Evan Macmillan idolized his father. He was the heir to a large fortune run by his father. Raised in a strict manner, Evan managed the workforce with an iron grip. Manufacturing has always been at its best, and the Macmillan estate prospered under father and son.

But as Archie MacMillan's mental health slowly deteriorated, Evan protected him from people who demanded their share. No matter what his father asked him to do, Evan always did it.

Soon, Archie Macmillan completely lost his mind, and his requests went beyond what was permitted. In the end, because of his crazy father, Evan became the perpetrator of the brutal massacre, which became the most famous murder in recent history. He led more than a hundred people into dark tunnels and blew them up, leaving people to fend for themselves.

The tale of the Macmillan estate is a tale of wealth and power that leads down a bad path. The number of victims who fell at the hands of father and son is unknown. No record remains of what became of Ewan MacMillan. And his father is another unsolved mystery: he was found dead in the basement of his own house, with crushed legs and a cleaver lying next to him.

The Trapper one of three killer maniacs in Dead by Daylight. Its main task is to set traps in vulnerable places for survivors. Trapper armed with a huge cleaver (Cleaver), an extremely mobile killer, which makes him the fastest maniac in the game. In this guide, we will tell you everything about the Stalker in Dead by Daylight.

Trapper's background

Evan Macmillan son and heir to the Macmillan Estate fortune, who idolized his father. Archie Macmillan - Evan's father is a mentally ill person and every day he got worse and worse. Having hung a huge enterprise on his son, he did not even suspect how many people were trying to tear a huge piece from him. Finally losing his mind, Archie asks his son to deal with the offenders. Evan complied with his father's request. After luring hundreds of people into the dark tunnels, he blew up the cave. Soon the enterprise collapsed, and Evan disappeared forever. However, hundreds of murders and Archie's body, found in the basement of his own warehouse, remained an unsolved mystery of the Macmillan estate.

How to play Trapper the right way

When playing as a Trapper, you should always remember that:

  1. Traps are not endless
  2. Traps should always be placed near windows, on hooks, generators and on paths where there are obstacles.
  3. You may fall into your own trap.
  4. Those caught in traps take lethal damage, all that remains to be done is to take on the handles and impale on the hook.
  5. Perks, yes they are needed, but we will discuss them a little later.
  6. Addons and offerings / offerings are consumables, do not touch on early stages games, more on them later.
  7. You are faster, which means they can't live.

By sticking to these points, you will quickly learn how to play the Seeker.

Advantages and disadvantages of Trapper

The Trapper is one of the first assassins featured in the Dead by Daylight beta. In my opinion, he is the best among the killers, but he is endowed with both advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages

  1. Traps give a huge advantage on the map, they work not only as wards, but also inflict lethal damage, after which you just have to take the victim and drag him to the hook.
  2. The speed of movement, yes it is fast, it is easy to chase (chase) the survivors for it.
  3. To counter annoying all the abuses (excessive use) of windows, how did he “get sick of everyone”, pleasure itself. Looping the jump back and forth will make your victim feel sorry. We put a trap near the window or intercept it near the window.

Flaws

  1. Strange as it may seem, these are traps while you set them up for the enemy. experienced player, can walk on the heels of neutralizing them, besides, this takes time. You must constantly maintain the number of traps you have. Having planted another victim on the hook, you will put it right away, you will not have to go after it.
  2. Leveling is the worst in my opinion, Hillbilly and Wraith/Banshee do it much faster.

To be continued…

Below are the guides we are still working on. They will appear on the website soon.

  • Trapper's Perks
  • Trapper's Add-ons
  • Trapper's Offerings
  • Trapper's Builds
  • Trapper's Rank

The Hunter is one of the first playable assassins in Dead by Daylight. Considered the easiest to learn. Over time, with proper skill, it becomes a wonderful weapon for killing, thanks to its key ability - traps. They are really a weighty argument in the hands of a skilled player.

He is considered one of the easiest in terms of playability, because it is possible to win a match without using his ability, since he has an extended hitbox (expressed in attack distance) and movement speed (which increases over time due to bloodthirst).

Experienced players are starting to use traps to more effectively and quickly achieve victory in a match. At first, the Trappers (the second name of the hunter, from the English "Trapper") set their traps near the habitats of the survivors (window openings, boards). So, running away from a hunter, in a hurry, a person cannot quickly neutralize the trap and most often falls into it. This happens especially often when the survivor, running away from the pursuer, climbed through the opening and only then saw the trap set on the other side, and the action cannot be reversed.

The most seasoned hunters set their traps in places where the average survivor cannot guess them. Such places can be favorite places for "mansi". Here it is desirable to set a trap so that there is a huge probability that the victim will fall into it, and, accordingly, so that it is as invisible to the survivor as possible. Thick grass will help you with this - the most the best place for setting traps. The most experienced hunters set their traps in narrow places where there is a lot of grass and it is very difficult to miss the trap. An inattentive and careless survivor can easily fall into such traps, thereby facilitating the work of the killer.

Another positive feature of the hunter is that almost all of his personal perks are useful for himself, namely "brutal strength", "intolerance" and "frightening presence".

  • "Beastly Strength" allows us to quickly break down overturned boards and resume the pursuit of survivors who have not yet (but not always) escaped.
  • Intolerance is still the most useful perk to this day, both for the hunter and other assassins, because it allows you to move much faster with a survivor in your hands, which in turn gives less time for the victim to get out of his grip hunter.
  • Frightening Presence is a less useful perk, as it only suits some maniacs, including the trapper. The essence of the perk is simple: while the survivor is in the terror radius, he has a small strip of skill check. It would seem nothing complicated, but for some survivors this is a huge problem. Particularly good this perk Combines with Fear Spreader, which increases the terror radius.

Now we will talk about the most optimal builds for the hunter.

The easiest build for beginners is the hunter's personal perks + the Fear Sowing perk.

Assembly: "Game from totems"

The meaning is simple: we have traps that will help protect our totems + warn that nasty survivors decided to put their hands on one totem.

The most important perk, which is common to all, will be Corruption: Hunting Thrill. It gives a one-time notification that the victim breaks your totem. And then comes the Corruption: Doom perk, which gives 5% regression with a good skill check and 0% progress with an ideal skill check.

The next corruption will be called "Corruption: Lullaby", which first increases the time between the soundtrack and the skill check, and then completely removes the soundtrack.

And the last, final touch is your choice: either "Corruption: No one can hide from death", but here at your own peril and risk, since noticing that you have damage, survivors, as a rule, clean totems and by the end of the game you will not have them, and the perk in this case will not work, since an empty totem is needed, but it also happens that only those that are set on fire are cleaned.

The second option is Corruption: Devouring Hope. It will be more useful here in the sense that after three hangings (you must definitely move far away from the hook), you have the ability to kill the victim with the first hit, and after 5 tokens (ideally, these are 2 completely hung) you can kill someone on place. What's wrong with this build? All your perks are totems. No totems - no perks. And almost all the perks will first need to be taken from the Huntress and the Witch, for which you will have to pump them properly. Therefore, this assembly is for an amateur. I won’t say that it is the most powerful, but with due diligence it gives great chances for success.

Assembly: "Your actions are meaningless"

The first and main perk is Dying Light. One of the players becomes the object of your obsession and must be killed at the fastest pace. If you kill almost at the beginning of the match, then the survivors will have a huge problem, since the speed of actions will be reduced by 25%, which greatly undermines the speed of generating generators and the chances of escaping.

In addition, "Thanataphobia" will be very useful to you. Each wounded additionally reduces the speed of all actions by 4%, and in total by 16%. If we act in conjunction with the "Dying Light", then we get 25% + 12% for three wounded (4, i.e. the obsession should already be dead) and we already have 37% as an output. Not bad. But this is ideal.

We add here another cool perk from Freddy "Remember me" and now our guys open the gate for 30 seconds longer (if, of course, they managed to start the generators). Ideally, out of 5 possible hits, the obsession accounts for 4, which gives an output of 25 seconds. Why? As a rule, no one wants to let go of an obsession just so that all the perks go to waste. Therefore, this principle works: at the first meeting, the survivor withstands 2 of your hits and falls (we have two tokens). You hang it and take it off. You, as an "honest" citizen, run to teach the scoundrel a lesson and give one more blow (1 token). He falls, and you return the insolent man to his place so that he knows that he will not run away anywhere. As soon as you turned away, they took it off. You are behind him.

Yes, guys, this is "tunneling". This is bad. But it's an obsession. So it is possible and necessary. Since all the perks are taken specifically for this scoundrel and he simply MUST die. All those who are indignant about the tunneling of obsession can go and express their indignation on the forums of the same offended. And I want to point out that my experience is not aimed at tunneling everyone, but only those who are possessed. I remind you that Special Games Club does not approve of bullying and moral oppression of gamers. We wish them only a pleasant game.<3

The obsession is dead and a sea of troubles is pouring down on the survivors. And as a highlight on the cake, you can add two spells “No one can hide from death” or “Death” to your taste. The problem with this build is the obsession itself, and more specifically, the experience of the player who is the obsession. He can drive you all over the map for a long time until all the generators start up, and then the benefit from all the perks will be zero. The fewer generators on the map, the less useful this assembly becomes.

Build: "Late Stage"

First the perks, then the explanation. "Remember me", "Corruption: no one can escape death", "Bloody caretaker" and you can take "Quiet rustle". Such an assembly, of course, but when power is applied, it really helps out. We are familiar with the first two, so let's move on to the remaining ones.

The Blood Watcher blocks the path of survivors for 30 seconds. As a rule, at this time, the survivors either wait for the barrier to be removed right at the exit, or crawl into secluded places near the exit. And what is the use of a quiet rustle? Got all the generators? Now the hunter sees all his victims for 7 seconds. And No One Can Hide is a good way to catch them. The problem is that the final stage of the game is rather meticulous and it is not always possible to kill someone.

A few words about improvements

I think we've talked enough about assemblies. Let's go through the list of improvements for the trap.

  • Stealth Enhancement - When using the rarest enhancement, the trap becomes barely visible. Very useful addon.
  • Increased setting speed - if you often set traps and focus on catching survivors with them - a must have.
  • Increasing the breakdown time is very situational.
  • Increasing the number of traps is quite useful, because in some cases it significantly reduces the time to set all the traps.
  • Reducing the chances of being released is very situational.
The ability to instantly put the victim into an agony is the best improvement and at the same time the rarest. Pairs well with stealth upgrades.

I can’t say that there is any special technique for choosing things. Just try to combine them correctly.

Appropriately setting up traps in Dead by Daylight and catching those vile survivors is of paramount importance in the game. As hard as it can be to ensnare, I have added a few handy tips in the guide which will ease the job while playing as the Dead by Daylight Trapper.

Our Dead by Daylight Trapper guide not only discusses how survivors in the game behave, but also tips on how to prevent them from escaping, how to approach them with caution, and other minor details!

Dead by Daylight Trapper Guide

Our Dead by Daylight Trapper guide details everything that you need to know about trapping survivors in the game and how to do that effectively.

Things to Remember!

The first thing that you need to know is to approach them with the utmost caution or you will spook them. If you are spotted, the survivors will make a run for it, prevent you from catching up using any means necessary.

Another thing that you need to do is to keep in mind any possible obstacles and escape routes set by these survivors before proceeding with the hunt. However, again do note that you cannot simply outrun a running survivor – there is no point in doing so!

Hiding Spots

After making a run for it, survivors tend to hide unless they know that you have given up. When it comes to hiding spots, there are a few to keep in mind. They cannot only hide on the outside areas including behind crate, in bushes, behind trees, and other locations, but also in indoor locations.

When it comes to in-door hiding spots, closets are one of the major ones. However, do note that they will never close the doors so as to avoid making noise. This gives you an opportunity to find them with relative ease.

While you are outside, try to peek around the corners and check if you can spot their legs or other body parts from behind a box or tree.

Effective Traps Placements

There are basically two types of traps that you can work with – Baited Trap and Sealed Trap.

When it comes to Baited Traps, you should try to place them near generators and escape routes nearby. Furthermore, you should also try to place them in the bushes and in hard to see places so as to prevent other survivors from freeing your hunt. Once done, head to a hiding spot and wait for the trap to go off and proceed to collect your reward!

Sealed Traps, on the other hand, are better placed at escape points instead of entry points. You need to place them near windows, entryways, and chokepoints. When it comes to these traps, there is less need of hiding them.

Another important thing that you need to keep an eye out on is whether a trap has been disarmed/destroyed or not! Yes, survivors are capable of doing that which is why you constantly need to be vigilant and check your laid traps frequently.

Lastly, there are some accessories which render your traps to deal a huge amount of damage, forcing prey to call upon allies to escape. However, with a few careful traps placed here and there, you will completely negate this possibility.

This is all we have on our Dead by Daylight Trapper Guide. If there is anything else you would like to add, let us know in the comments below!
