Mass effect 1 all planets. Mass effect guides and walkthroughs. Setting up forward stations

Highly big game. Many places can be difficult even for longtime fans of this RPG. The story will take 20 - 30 hours and you may miss some great moments from the game. Well, nothing, I'll cover you and now I'll tell you about these moments. Below is a list of tips and advice to help you on your journey through Elea. Ready?

1. Scanning in space

You need to learn a few rules for scanning planets. Generally speaking, scanning individual planets takes a very long time and has almost no reward. You can get a negligible amount of experience or minerals from one distant planet. Do you need it? So I recommend only scanning for anomalies when Suvi warns of them, because they bring unique or more valuable rewards.

2. Scanning on the ground

It is much easier to "farm" minerals and items when you travel around the planet on the Nomad. Placing Forward Stations will unlock mining zones in the area, and from there you can simply drive through the mining zone with the scanner turned on. Always try to maximize the mining schedule for minerals and only then launch the drone for mining. If you are looking for some specific materials, then look at the planet in the "Galactic Map" mode to see what minerals you can mine on this planet.

3. Installation of advanced stations

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Playing circles around the planet can get boring over time. The best way to save your time is to set up forward stations. Drive around the planet for a couple of minutes and set up forward stations that will give you fast travel. Also, these advanced stations will replenish your health, armor and weapons stocks. A very useful thing.

4. Correct distribution of OPA

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

OPA - Andromeda Prospect Points. You will receive these points as the planets develop and the storyline progresses. With the help of these points, you will be able to bring certain segments of the population out of stasis and immediately start them up for the development of Andromeda. I would advise unlocking cells that give out regular rewards first. Start with the commercial department, which will give you 500 credits every 45 minutes. At the beginning of the game you will need to buy good weapon and armor, and for this you need money. Having a regular source of income will give you a great advantage.

5. Research

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

In the new part, craft is divided into two parts - research and development. Let's start with research. Here you can unlock blueprints which can then be used to craft weapons or armor. You earn research points by scanning objects, and the type of research points you get depends on what you scan. There are three types of data in the game:

Milky Way

relics

Each area of research has unique weapons, armor and mods. So try to scatter research points into different categories.

6. Development

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

After purchasing a blueprint, you can bring it to life using the Develop menu. Here you will need special materials to develop each item. You can also apply modifications to crafted items. But approach this matter wisely. You don't want to put rare modifications on low-level weapons, do you? To get more powerful guns and armor, you first need to unlock the blueprints for the lower version.

7. What to research and develop?

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

This will depend on your play style. Given the nature of the combat (people are very quick to force close combat on you), I would suggest getting a decent shotgun (Piranha), preferably with automatic fire. You must also purchase assault rifle and then the need for sniper rifle will disappear. I've only used it a couple of times throughout the game. I wouldn't recommend spending too many points on developing pistols as they have little effect on combat, but when paired with abilities like Pull or Singularity, they can be devastating. In terms of armor choice, it's up to you. Heleus armor will help you go on the rampage, relic armor is designed for protection, milky way armor gives a good plus to shields and biotics. You can also craft Shepard's N7 armor from the original Mass Effect.

8. Effective level up

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Obviously your level depends on your playstyle, but best advice for effectiveness in combat - an increase in physical characteristics. This will give you best shields, greater accuracy, damage and so on. Thanks to this, the weapon in your hands will become more effective. Sure, the biotic and tech abilities are very effective, but they don't have a cooldown and don't deal much damage when they really need to. Also, do not forget about the abilities of your allies and remember that you can change your combat profile at any time.

9. Weapon Weight Vs Abilities

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Although weapons are more effective, you can play the game primarily as a biotic or tech specialist, but at the same time, you need to watch the weight of your equipment. If you exceed the weight limit, your abilities will charge more slowly, so take the minimum set (shotgun and pistol). You can also use weapon mods that reduce weight.

10. Get a pet

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

After you first locate the Big Creep, Drak will inform you that someone on the Tempest is feeding on your supplies and leaving crumbs. Crumbs will lead you to the cargo hold. Use the trap to trap the creature and leave the ship. As soon as you get back on board, you will find a mouse in a trap that you will have in your quarters. This is cute.

11. Romance with an alien (or someone else)

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

Mass Effect veterans know how this system works, but if you're new to the series or in doubt... yes, you can sleep with just about any alien aboard your ship (and a few people). Just choose the "heart" option every time you talk to the character you're interested in. If you do the right thing, he or she will end up in your bed.

12. Change the color of the armor

Want to change the color scheme of your armor? Then head to your room on the ship and use the Wardrobe terminal to change the color of your casual and combat attire.

Mass Effect: Andromeda. 14 things you should know before playing

This is a bit of a cheat, but it will allow you to track two quests on your minimap instead of one. To do this, select one quest as the main quest, and for the second, simply add a waypoint. After that, you will have two points instead of one, and you will be able to manage the exploration of the planet a little more efficiently. This method works well in restricted areas like the Nexus.

New worlds to explore

World Mass Effect Andromeda created for research. Many planets, each of which can be explored, new worlds, mysteries and dangers - all this is in the game.
As a Pathfinder, you are helping the Andromeda Initiative settle into a new, unexplored world. You are given a personal ship and a team, which you can supplement with interesting characters in the course of the story. What awaits you in the new world?
●New races
●Lots of planets to explore
●Ability to create outposts and bases
●Secrets of Andromeda
●Research and development system

Now about everything in order.

Map access, space navigation

The player has access to the space map of the entire Heleus cluster. The cluster includes several dozen star systems, between which you can move by interacting with the map. Each system has its own name, as well as a group of objects that can be studied. Each Andromeda planet that is within a particular system and is suitable for study is highlighted. The rest of the objects can simply be examined for the presence of materials or something useful.

If you look out the window of your ship while in orbit of an object, you can see an unusual space landscape. The view will change depending on the celestial bodies next to which the Tempest is currently located. So you will never see two identical landscapes.

Studying the world, features of the planets

Each planet available for study under the Andromeda program has its own history, inhabitants and features. Take, for example, Elaaden - a harsh sandy planet with minimal moisture reserves. Here, the main enemies are the heat, which can kill even a person in a special suit. In addition, no one will last long without water, and all the treasures scattered around the planet are well guarded, so once you get here, you should not hope for the best.
In such harsh conditions, the krogans were able to survive, which, in fact, calmly endure the heat on their home planet Tuchanka, which is similar in harsh conditions. Krogan are a distrustful people, so do not expect greetings and hospitality from them, but it is in your power to change this. Build relationships with the few inhabitants of the planet and further exploration of Elaaden will be greatly simplified, since it will be possible to build a forward station.

About forward stations and bases

Since the worlds in Mass Effect Andromeda are quite extensive to explore, you will definitely need transportation and a place to resupply without having to return to the starship. Once you've explored the planet enough, you'll be able to set up a forward station where you can replenish ammo, prepare for missions, and repair your Nomad.

The Nomad is an all-terrain vehicle that simplifies the player's journey across the planet's surface. The vehicle allows you to move faster from one point to another, in addition, it has scanning and life support systems, which is extremely important for survival in harsh conditions.
If you have explored the location enough, then the prospects of the planet in the initiative will increase and it will be possible to create outposts for Nexus improvements. How to achieve such progress? All that is needed is to bring the object's perspective value to 40% and above. This is done as follows:

● Eliminate the threats that are on the planet. Hostile fauna, alien invaders and other enemies - all this counts.
●Make alliances with residents by completing their orders. In the case of Elaaden, you will have to negotiate with the krogan.
●Solve climate problems, such as find a way to beat the heat.
●Complete story missions on this planet.
●Explore as many places as you can

Having reached the required number of points, you create an outpost, what's next? Prospect points earned as a result of your actions can be put to good use in the development and maintenance of the Nexus space station, which allows you to open more cryopods, for example. By choosing colonists, you will receive a certain bonus. Let's say you brought scientists out of cryosleep, then you will have a bonus to research new technologies. Also with merchants, military and other colonists.

Vaults

In addition to natural hazards, hostile fauna and adverse conditions, you can find Vaults on the planet - the remains of an ancient civilization of relics. Every Vault you find may help solve the problems of Andromeda's new colonizers, so it's worth looking for them.
To get inside the vault, you need to find the entrance, solve the cipher, break through the guards and explore everything you find inside the building.

crafting system

Everything you find on the planets and inside the vaults can be used to create equipment and weapons. The crafting system is broken down into two separate components: technology research and technology development.
Research is information about the technology, creatures, and environment you are scanning. By scanning unusual equipment, you will receive a piece of data that can be used to create a working prototype. Scan more - get more drawings to create items.
To start the development process, you will need a finished drawing and a certain amount of materials. Everything you need can be found during the journey, as well as on board the Tempest or from merchants.
The level of development of research will affect the quality of improvements to available equipment.

Special attention should be paid to reinforcements. Amplifications are bonuses that can be installed in parts of armor or weapons, if they have slots. Each buff has a unique effect on the installed item. Here short description some modifiers:

●Air stabilizer - improves the accuracy of shooting from weapons while in the air or enhances biotics for armor.
● Beam generator - changes the type of weapon damage to energy, replacing cartridges with a beam.
●Cooler - expands the weapon magazine used for special ammo. Grants a bonus to using Incendiary, Disruptor, and Freeze Ammo.
●Shield disruptor - enhances the effectiveness of disintegrating cartridges, which allows you to remove the enemy's energy protection in a few shots. If you build such a modifier into the armor, then when you attack in melee, you will deal additional electrical damage to the enemy’s shields.
●Old heat receiver - changes the weapon's ammunition to thermal, but introduces overheating. Works the same as in the Mass Effect trilogy.

And this is just a brief example of the possible upgrades that you can find and use to enhance your equipment. In addition, in the game you can find combined modifications of Relics for armor. The more you explore, the more you get!

Game idea

Mass Effect Andromeda is a game about exploring and colonizing new worlds. Your decisions will affect the development of the community in the new world, so try your best.

Everything you need to know about mining and crafting in Andromeda, as well as where to find certain materials.

AT Mass Effect Andromeda there are a lot of shootings, but there is still time for research. This will allow you to create new armor, weapons, modifications, upgrades for " nomad" and much more.

Three types of research

AT Mass Effect Andromeda Research data is divided into three categories:

  • Milky way research– data related to colonists and their equipment
  • Chilius research- data relating to the races found in Andromeda
  • Relic Research– data related to ancient abandoned technology

How to scan in Mass Effect Andromeda?

It's very simple. Activate your scanner by clicking on . An object or life form turns orange if it can be scanned.

When scanning a new lifeform or technology, you will receive research data for one of the categories, which can then be used to purchase blueprints.

Blueprinting and crafting in Mass Effect Andromeda

Approach the Research Center, which you can find on a ship or a friendly location, and select " Study". Here you can see which blueprints you have access to and which ones you can buy. Most items have tiers, so you will only get access to the next tier when you already have a lower tier item crafted.

After the drawing appears, go to the item " Development» to create weapons, armor and upgrade the car, if you have the necessary materials for this. Sometimes rare ingredients may be required.

If you have blueprints for modifications, then you can apply them to crafted items to add an improvement.

Extraction of materials

AT Mass Effect Andromeda there is various ways mining. Minerals are the easiest to mine and can be harvested with Ryder's Omni-Tool.

Mining zones are much richer, but require " nomad". When you set up a forward station, all mining zones appear on the general map. Go there by car, turn on the search and follow the schedule. The longer the schedule before the appearance of the drone for mining, the more resources you will receive.

Orbital and system scan

When using the Galaxy Map in System/Orbit mode, you will often receive anomaly warnings from Suvi. After that, you must press / to turn on the scanner, then follow the arrow on the screen to find the anomaly. Once you have found the anomaly, press / to launch the probe. Usually there may be minerals or research data.

Huge ambitions and a desire to expand territories force the Alliance to look for new sources of resources to build a combat-ready fleet and maintain the pace of development. Mining is entrusted to the shoulders of numerous mining companies, and exploration is at the mercy of advanced units and volunteers. There are a total of 113 deposits available in Mass Effect, but to complete the task "Traverse: Valuable Minerals" you need to find and mark 66 of them (the task appears in the journal after finding the first deposit). Minerals are mined in Mass Effect by two different ways: remotely via planetary scans from Normandy or during landings on Mako and self-survey of the surface. In the first case, after selecting a planet, the "Scout" button appears in the description window, in the second - "Land".

The all-terrain vehicle is vulnerable only to enemy shells, threshers and minefields, it is not afraid of falling from a great height. The planets differ from each other in the level of danger of the atmosphere, the higher the indicator, the less time you can be in the open air. If too long, Shepard and the party members will die. Locations of minerals are not marked on global map, but round orange icons appear on the minimap when close to the target. On average, 2 sources are hidden on the planets. To install a beacon and automatically send coordinates, you need to exit Mako (key [Q]), approach and “hack” the deposit (key [E]). For the resources found, experience points and credits are awarded. Planets for landing and research are always open, even after finding all the minerals.

As you probably already know, Bioware's latest installment in the franchise mass effect, which took five years and more than $40 million to create, resulted in one of the most versatile game of the year.

But make no mistake, Mass Effect Andromeda is NOT the most valuable contribution to one of the richest sci-fi tales in gaming history, nor will it please the most hardcore fan in the process.

It's important to note that the team behind Andromeda is a division of Bioware. Previously, she led the multiplayer section of Mass Effect 3, and now for the first time took on the full version.

The final product is massive, but it also lacks a lot of polish. There is an inexperienced approach to quality control.

10 Will Hate: Limited Conversation System

Under the proviso that sticking with the original Paragon and Renegade trilogy choices is too "binary", and now we've got an emotion-based four-way system. Which supposedly can be Emotional, Reasonable, Laid-back or Professional.

The fact is that 99% of the available exchanges are still based on binary options. Either always laid-back or always professional. There is no middle.

At rare key points in specific missions, all four options will be provided, but the problem with this more detailed system is that big overarching story points are always rushed. By providing us with more "emotional choices", it removes the pronounced effects of the former system along with the long-term offshoots of the "Paragon Game" or "Renegade Game".

It could work, but with limited conversation options, it destroys the unique sense of intergalactic gaming agency that Mass Effect needs to function and function better.

9 Like: Resolving Interracial Disputes

Despite the fact that most of the conversation options and Ryder's dialogue itself seem very flat, the real scenarios in which you take part really deserve attention.

Continuing Shepard's (now Ryder's) original trilogy as a figure of galactic justice (in a new way "Pioneer" is pretty much SIGNIFICANT status), you can intervene in everything from falsely accused murder suspects to scanning artifacts for research projects, interviews for documentaries and anything in between.

As you delve into this rich lore, you "feel" what makes Mass Effect so special, empathize with the Krogan for how they are treated, before realizing that their violent tendencies may have caused the friction. As Andromeda breaks down the considerable number of races present, you realize the writers had a fun day collecting the racial traits we know, and then they took it upon themselves to compress them together for an endless amount of side quests and possibilities.

8. Hated: New Planet Scanning System

Scanning planets in past games was as simple as launching a metal detector interface over a planet: press a button when spades were on the display, then reap the rewards. In Andromeda, the "go to planet, scan, grab" principle is the same, but each planet, asteroid, or ship is modeled in full 3D, and the game requires you to travel between each component one by one, accompanying you with "flying" animations that can't be missed.

For a system that comes with, say, six planets, scanning them means waiting for slow-moving cutscenes between them. And even if you get carried away with it, you only have one material deposit per planet, because you are only allowed to scan one specific place for one specific thing.

It all feels like this weird space photography mode. You can press a button to forego the user interface and spin around the mentioned planets and objects in 3D, while the great lighting engine will show fantastic background details.

However, no one in their right mind would think this is a step up from what it used to be, and while I personally took planetary scanning in ME2 and 3 as a way to relax, Andromeda's innovation will make you sleepy.

7 Like It: Krogan Has Another Bully Buddy

There are very few "moments" in Andromeda at the level of choosing between Ashley and Kaiden, the discovery that the Archangel was Garrus, or watching Mordin die while curing a genophage. But as with any Bioware RPG, it's the non-human species that are the most interesting - especially in Mass Effect 3, we never had a Krogan friend.

Yaal is your new half-squid, half-cat warrior (a standout of the minuscule three new races), and next to him is Drak. Another pile of Krogan muscles that destroys absolutely all enemies in its path. The Andromeda script knows full well how much fans adored Rex, and how difficult it was to acclimatize Grant, and now Drak is an older, slightly wiser Krogan, covered in the bones and skeletal remains of his enemies.

Drak is the archetypal immortal warrior who has "seen it all", from gruesome fights in cutscenes to jokes and fleeing hordes of enemies he sent flying; he was my constant teammate for most of the game.

6. Hated: New Omni-Weapon

One of the most beloved pieces of Mass Effect iconography, the cosplay theme. How the hell did the frame on the left turn into the one on the right?

In motion, the new omni-weapon almost looks like one giant texture that has not fully loaded with its endlessly stuttering “interface”. A mixture of messy horizontal lines and static sepia.

Even thematically, it doesn’t roll, because the Andromeda Initiative adopted its technologies from the Milky Way, i.e. from where the events of the original trilogy were already in full swing. Bioware cut so many dialogue scenes around inspecting the omni-weapon and then left out all the necessary details, it's just... weird.

5 Likes: Wonderful scenery and environment

Andromeda strikes on the spot with one thing - this environment. While the layout of these worlds doesn't allow for a vast distance, there is a sense of detail and density in the atmosphere that allows for great variety in every landscape.

The exact opposite of No Man's Sky (which derives its beauty from the random calculations of eternally improvising algorithms), every world in Andromeda has been hand-crafted, purpose-built, and stuffed with quests to find and complete.

You need to have a passion for exploration to be willing to do this, but dive into some of the icy tundra of Gelea, floating rock formations on Ayia, and you'll be blown away by a phenomenal sense of place that will beg you for hours to uncover every single component.

4. Hated: Archon and ketts just suck

You can't get past this: from the first day, Ketts looked a little... boring, and in the game they are even one-dimensional.

In the course of the story, you will learn how their leader, the Archon, works, but when Bioware provided a complete empty ensemble of a whole new galaxy for the game, I could not understand the point of returning more humanoid male stone warriors.

Contrary to most reviews complaining that you have to engage in battles from the very beginning, you can try to imagine yourself and then burn everything to ashes, but this is just a group of outdated, then updated Star Trek villains.

3 Like It: Return to your mythology

The biggest plus, covering all of these innumerable shortcomings, is the Mass Effect mythology, which is what Bioware has previously accomplished in its flawless first three games (with the exception of the disastrous final 20 minutes).

At the center of another intergalactic racial dispute, humanity is at a disadvantage and leads a hilarious team with motives of its own - which is exactly what fans have been recalling over the years.

Andromeda embodies all of these moments in a hilarious way, and while a lot of the content has lost a little bit of focus because of it, for fans in particular, a real buffet of mouth-watering dishes - ones that they will want to gobble up in a few hours.

2. Hated: Little Andromeda's Progress in Everything

Mass Effect Andromeda offers absolutely nothing significant for the general canon.

The first trilogy has always been comprehensive storylines in relation to everything from the Reapers to the Protheans, Geth and Shepard as Space Jesus. And Mass Effect Andromeda spit on this, and it turned out to be a giant sandbox Mass Effect-one-day.

You can play as the main characters, find the hidden meaning of all sorts of conflicts and spend hours exploring the planets, scanning and processing weapons to your heart's content. But the goal at the heart of Mass Effect Andromeda doesn't change that: make money from an established brand because that name still means something.

1 Like it: Open World Battle Loop, Exploration, and Dialogues

All of which brings me to one thing: Mass Effect Andromeda can be fun, really fun - once everything falls into place.

It will take some time to understand what the Andromeda Initiative is, what the Pathfinder is, and what you do besides exploring the base. But in a way, blazing your own path through a lot of content and side missions- this is new experience in Mass Effect.

Landing on a planet and hopping around between different mission branches is perhaps a fantastic way to play, and this is where all sorts of game loops start to intertwine.

You'll be spying on the Kett guard down the ravine, entering the Nomad to take them out with biotic combos. You will explore underground ruins and terraform the surrounding landscape, building a "new home for humanity" that will reward you with materials for more weapons and armor. You'll go on loyalty missions that unlock backstory, destroy alien dinosaurs with Asari swords, and engage in conversations about determinism, faith, and space politics.

In short, you will be "doing Mass Effect".

And yes, the human faces of the animation are ridiculously horrifying, but they won't get in the way of your total enjoyment.
