Ranks in battalion arms table. Combat Arms is a fast-paced online first-person shooter game with amazing graphics developed by Doobic Studios. Career advancement

A unique third-person shooter, a product from the authors of the cult Counter strike Online, will now also please Runet users. Korean specialists from the Nexon studio took on the development, who managed to prove that they know a lot about games of this kind.

Scenario

At first glance, it seems that we have a somewhat pumped Counter Strike, but this is not at all the case. Don't let the updated textures and characters deceive you, because the game features have been tripled compared to CS.

AT Combat ARMS you will see a huge arsenal of weapons, completely updated locations, as well as a specialization recruitment system that allows you to transform each hero to your liking. In general, the game is a completely remade Counter Strike, with some role-playing additions.

Introduction

It all starts in the usual way - you enter the game, select a character, decorate it as you wish, select a weapon from the initial list and enter the battle on one of the provided arenas.

At the beginning of the game, only 10-15 weapons are available, but as you rank up, you will unlock new combat units, including machine guns, machine guns, grenade launchers, etc. In total, the player will be able to try about 300 weapons. Most of them can be purchased with in-game currency, but some of the more interesting ones can only be purchased with real money.

They may have unique properties such as stealth, accuracy, or increased power. But if you want to play completely free, you can earn money for such a barrel, however, you will have to sweat a lot for this, since it is very difficult to get money in the game.

pumping

In addition to buying weapons, you can also modify them. To be honest, it makes no sense to sit and pump any one barrel for a long time, since the store is overflowing with a variety of weapons of the most unimaginable power and specificity. You also need to invest in upgrading weapons, so think carefully about whether to upgrade your existing machine gun or save up money for a more powerful stock sample.

Peculiarities

Combat ARMS has a rank system that allows you to unlock new weapons, equipment, or character superpowers. The title also allows you to increase your rating in the overall standings table. Try to get the rank of captain as soon as possible, because it is from this position that the most interesting begins - the lion's share of weapons and features becomes available, so you can roam to the fullest.

After that, the most unthinkable modes are opened, such as invisibility, increased speed, accuracy, power and some cheating techniques, but this is only after the award of the highest rank.

Gameplay

The abundance of game modes in Combat ARMS dilutes the gameplay somewhat. The following types of battles are available here:

  • Quarantine Mode- enough interesting mode, in which some of the players become zombies and try to infect their former colleagues. The difficulty is that zombies have increased level health and do not want to die in any way, so the fighters will have to use all their power and ingenuity to win the battle;
  • Fireteam Mode- a standard combat mode in which a team of 8 real users fights against 8 bots. This mode entered for dilution gameplay primitive artificial intelligence;
  • Spy Hunt- the most exciting mode. There are 4 suitcases scattered on the map that need to be collected. By capturing one of the four suitcases, the user transforms into an agent dressed in a black suit. Having collected all 4 items, the player is equipped with impenetrable armor and one of three types of weapons: a machine gun, a grenade launcher or a flamethrower in order to take revenge on his already former partners.

Locations

Combat ARMS has 15 locations, each of which has a huge number of interactive elements that help in the game. Any bush, block or tree can be used here. Although there are not many maps, but each of them is a wide field for battles, where up to 50 players can meet at the same time.

It's important to know!

The only negative point of the client is the low system of protection against cheaters. There are not too many of them here, but if at least one gets on the location, then we can assume that the fight has already been lost.

True, if you notice one of these "hacks", you can use the VoteKick system, which allows you to remove an unfriendly user from the server. After several regular exceptions, this user will be blacklisted by the server and will never be able to enter the game under his own nickname again, so all his achievements will be automatically canceled.

Appearance

The graphics in Combat ARMS are pretty good. Of course, she stepped over the capabilities of CS a long time ago and can please with dynamically lit details and highly detailed locations. After modifying a weapon, you will immediately notice changes in it. appearance which, in principle, is logical.

The game uses the engine of the famous cult game F.E.A.R, which means that there is no need to complain about the graphics. Special praise deserves the special effects of the explosions, which are superbly choreographed here.

Alternative

A product similar to Combat ARMS can be called the development of the same military theme, futuristic game Total Influence, which is more of a strategy than a shooter. However, despite its specificity, it can give you many hours of continuous gameplay thanks to a well-thought-out character leveling system and platoon organization.

In the post-apocalyptic world of Total Influence, you will find a huge amount of resources that you can use to develop your character. If you are tired of the constant firefights in Combat ARMS, you can try your hand at Total Influence and develop the tactics of a real battle.

Conclusion

Generally, Combat ARMS turned out quite decent. If you're bored with Call of Duty's heavy multiplayer and want some more features from Battlefield, then this shooter is for you.

Hey guys, who's with me to fight?

When we think of popular online shooters, a lot of interesting games, but most often we remember one of the most important - Counter-Strike, which is perhaps the most outstanding veteran of the genre.

Online game Combat Arms, which will be discussed in this review, created by the authors of this greatest shooter and is its ideological successor.

But not only this causes respect for this project. Combat Arms is a high-quality modern online action game that has a lot of advantages and has gone much further than its legendary progenitor.

In Combat Arms you can play with thousands of players from all over the world, make friends, join battle clans and organize your own.

Of course this game made on a powerful 3D engine with excellent drawing of landscapes, characters and all the details of equipment. But this is only an insignificant part of the features of the game, which I will describe in detail later in the review.

In particular, in this game you can create your own unique fighter like no one else, choose a gender, appearance, outfit for him.

At your service are more than 300 (!) types of weapons of all the most famous and not so brands, from classic to ultra-modern: knives, pistols, machine guns, sniper and assault rifles, submachine guns, grenade launchers, shotguns, rocket launchers. Furthermore! Weapons can be upgraded in a special workshop. Depending on the choice of weapons and equipment, you can take on the role of a cunning sniper, a furious attack aircraft, an explosive specialist, or become a versatile soldier who knows a lot about all the intricacies of war. And now about all this in more detail.

Description and features

This is what the game store looks like

Main distinguishing feature Combat Arms is an incredible wealth of choice in everything. Whether it is the number of weapons and options for its modification, or the number gaming locations and combat modes. The player will not have enough life to try out all the possibilities offered by the game.

There are more than thirty different maps in Combat Arms, on each of which you can fight in twelve modes. All maps are huge and unique, have their own secrets, loopholes, detours, windows and trenches, in which it is so convenient for a sniper to hide. So one study of all these cards can take a player months of intense play.

As for monetization, everything is more or less decent here. The game is based on the popular free-to-play model in Russia. That is, you can play for free, and pay at will only for additional features.

For each kill and each battle won, the player receives experience points that allow him to grow in rank, which in turn makes it possible to improve the characteristics of a fighter and acquire more and more cool things. Of course, each player has detailed statistics of victories and defeats, the number of enemies killed and missions completed. All these data affect the position of the player in the overall ranking.

The game often hosts some competitions, contests, events. You can join different clans or create your own. Wars are regularly waged between clans, as a result of which the strongest server clan is determined. Often during the game you can receive unexpected tasks, for the completion of which you can get extra money and experience.

This game is often compared to another Korean online shooter -

Weapons and equipment

Crossbow bomber - this is fluff!

One of the biggest strengths of Combat Arms is the weapons and equipment. And the point here is not only the richness of choice, but also how many modifications can be done with all this. By working on the gradual modernization of your modest machine gun, you can create something almost futuristic, plunging enemies into horror. Among other things, the modification includes the expansion of the magazine, the addition of a silencer, an increase in the rate of fire and armor-piercing, a decrease in recoil and, as a result, an increase in shooting accuracy. Here, as in a real war, every little thing matters.

As already mentioned, in this game there are more than three hundred types of cold and firearms. This is the richest selection among online shooters today. No other MMOFPS even came close to such a wealth of arsenal. There is probably everything you could ever hear about here: the M-16 rifle, the classic Thompson, the notorious Kalashnikov, the legendary Uzi mini-machine gun, even a helicopter turret.

It is worth emphasizing that almost all the weapons presented in the game are . Which, by the way, is quite consistent with the idea and spirit of Counter Strike, which captivated millions of gamers precisely with its realism. No blasters or plasma guns. Only real weapons, moreover, with real characteristics of recoil, rate of fire, weight, etc. Of course, many initial performance characteristics can be improved, but within reasonable limits.

All weapons in the game are purchased only for temporary use outside the battlefield. Ownership, of course, can be extended with money won in battles. And you can buy a barrel for perpetual disposal only for real rubles.

In a special shop you can rent almost any accessories, weapons and ammunition: clips, optical and collimator sights. Some will have to be paid for with real money, and some - of course, not so impressive - are purchased for in-game currency.

Only a small selection is open to beginners, but gradually growing in rank (ranks in Combat Arms are analogous to levels), your opportunities will grow. You will be able to purchase more and more advanced weapons and participate in high-level battles on a par with the elite.

In addition to weapons, the store has a huge selection of body armor, helmets, camouflage and other paraphernalia. You can also upgrade your fighter's abilities, teach him how to walk quietly, crawl and other techniques that will help you become a dangerous opponent for any enemy.

In battles, you can get a lot of useful parts that you can later use to upgrade your guns in the special Gun Emporium workshop.

Also, in addition to weapons and equipment, you can purchase new characters. This may be useful, because. fighters differ not only in appearance, size and gender, but also different characteristics, such as running speed or survivability.

In the armory, you can make and modify your own weapons

Combat Arms also has explosives - from banal dynamite and mines to extremely ingenious devices consisting of plastids, timers, detectors, and even a mobile phone. Everything that the most inveterate thug can dream of is here: fragmentation, smoke, gas and light-noise grenades, as well as means of neutralizing them.

There are a lot of options for destroying opponents: they can be torn apart, pierced with a bayonet, chopped, shot and burned, using a variety of means up to a flamethrower or an exotic six-barreled machine gun. But the possibilities of hand-to-hand combat here are an order of magnitude smaller than, say, in Black Fire (Black Fire review), where you can finish off a wounded enemy not only with your fists, but also with your feet, and also use something like a fatality.

Fans of edged weapons Combat Arms are also unlikely to please. Yes, here you can wield an ax, a knife and a bayonet, but without frills. Of course, to the possibilities of the magnificent online shooter and Warframe, where you can even throw a spear at enemies, nailing them to the wall, Combat Arms is far away, but there is something to strive for.

Conclusion

Fighter inventory

Summing up, I want to tell you briefly why Combat Arms is so popular, not only in Russia, but also in foreign countries? In particular, it is known that in Europe and the USA about a million avid fans of combat adventures are already killing each other in the open spaces of the Combat Arms world. What is the secret here?

One of the key advantages of the game publisher calls a grandiose choice of arsenal. Indeed, three hundred weapons is a bar currently unsurpassed by any other online game. And for any MMO action movie, this indicator is especially important.

The second advantage is that this game is a kind of ideological heir the world famous cult shooter Counter-Strike. That's just what this connection is manifested in, it is not entirely noticeable. In my opinion, in these games there are much more differences than similarities, although a certain atmosphere undoubtedly makes these projects related to each other.

From myself I will add a couple of pluses. Although real money in the game gives an advantage, freeloaders will not feel deprived either. It's not uncommon in the game when ordinary players they bring down donors hung with expensive armor, because in the end it all depends on your skill and combat talent. In addition, the game physics is made at a high level: when shooting, you can almost feel the recoil of the butt. And explosions with smoke and fragments of stones make an exciting impression.

At the end, it is always interesting to study the statistics of the battle, as well as to see the buns that you were given for the victory.

Of the minuses of the game, one can single out low-quality graphics by modern standards and the variable dominance of cheaters, who, for some reason, fell in love with this game very much. The point, apparently, is in a relatively merciful attitude on the part of the administration of the game, which rarely takes such measures as a life-long ban with the withdrawal of everything acquired against violators. Although, how can honest players not be annoyed by the situation when some kind of bastard stupidly fires on the sides, and bullets, like homing missiles, fly right on target? What can we say about such typical cheating tricks as passing through walls and indestructible armor, from which bullets bounce off like peas. However, the age of the cheater in the game is not long. After the second warning, cheaters are usually kicked out of the game forever.

The second disadvantage is the excessive traditional character of the game. Too much in it seems standard and canonical. You will not see here any plot, no military equipment, no video tracks that dilute the monotony of passing missions. But is all this necessary in a game that many players value precisely for its optimization, lightness and low system requirements? Big question.

So, if you ask me if this game is worth spending time on, then there will be no definite answer. It is unlikely that this shooter will appeal to those who appreciate graphics and physics in games, because there is nothing special to admire in this game. Thin landscapes and faceted characters pretty spoil the impression. Maybe Combat Arms is not the most chic shooter in terms of graphics (in my opinion, graphic design Warframe is an order of magnitude better, and Black Fire even more so), but it has its own advantages, putting this game on a par with the leaders of the genre. So, if for some reason Black Fire or Warframe does not start for you, then play Combat Arms for your health, it's worth it.

Guide "Game servers"

In this guide, we will introduce you to all Combat Arms game servers and tell you about the development path that every fighter must go through in order to reach high ranks in the game.

lucky seven

In total, Combat Arms has seven game servers:

  1. Lovers.

    Sergeants (Classic, Alpha).

  2. Good soldiers (Simplified rules).

All servers have their own characteristics and restrictions that relate to the player's rank, the ratio of kills and deaths, etc. Full list servers is available from the "Quick Start Menu" and "Game Lobby", which can be viewed by pressing the "Servers" button.

In this diagram, you can see what rank you need to get in order to get on a particular server:

Basics

After creating your fighter, you will automatically be taken to the "Beginners" server, intended for recruits. On this server, there are indulgences that help beginners gain the knowledge and skills necessary to continue playing on more high levels. It's about about the increased number of game points received by 100% and the experience gained by 20%. Having reached the rank of "Senior Sergeant of the 1st rank", the player will not be able to enter the "Beginners" server.

Career advancement

If a soldier successfully performs in 10-16 battles, he will receive the title of "Sergeant", and from that moment he will be able to choose game servers. The main ones are “Amateurs” and “Sergeants (Classic, Alpha)”, which differ from each other in the maximum ratio of kills and deaths (hereinafter referred to as K / D) of a player: for the “Amateurs” server this value is 1.20, so fighters who are still fighting here not too well accustomed to the game and can not resist more experienced players. A coefficient of 1.20 means that the player has made 12 kills and 10 deaths. If you want to get this figure, then simply divide the number of kills you have made by the number of deaths of your fighter.

The server "Sergeants (Classic, Alpha)" is the first real test for any novice fighter: the maximum ratio of kills and deaths on this server is set at around 20.00. This means that here the sergeant can come face to face with the captain. This server is more popular than "Amateurs", as it has the most open access barrier - any player with a rank from a sergeant to an army general, with any U / S indicator, can enter here. Hard work on the server "Sergeants" is a sure way to success and improve your combat skills. The battles here require good equipment, so if you have not yet reached the rank of "Senior Sergeant 1st Rank", then we recommend that you stay on the "Beginners" server in order to accumulate more game points and purchase good equipment.

Lord officers

Having received the title of "Senior Ensign of the 1st Rank" (SPR1), you will be able to enter the "Officers" server, where high-level fighters gather. Playing here, they receive solid bonuses to experience and points - an additional increase of 15%. But keep in mind, if your U / S ratio is less than 0.90 and more than 20.00, then you will not be allowed on this server. In this case, we advise you to hone your skills on the "Amateurs" and "Sergeants" servers. Due to severe U/S ratio limitations, Officers is less popular than other servers.

Extended capabilities

If you have participated in battles on all previous servers, and you want variety, then pay attention to the other three servers: "VIP", "Clans" and "Good Soldiers".

VIP open to everyone, regardless of rank and ratio of murders and deaths. It has the only restriction on the GN Rating - the minimum indicator must be in the status of "Bronze", to achieve which it is enough to purchase 250 GN coins. In return, when playing on the server, you will receive game points and experience by 30% more.

Clans - this is a highly specialized server, created specifically for battles between clans. In this regard, it has a corresponding restriction: access here is open only to players who are members of a clan. Otherwise, there are no restrictions. We note that carrying out team fights on this server is a priority for any soldier in the clan, as well as an excellent way to learn how to coordinate and tactical game, improve your financial condition in Combat Arms and increase the level of not only your character (the amount of experience gained and game points is increased by 20%), but also the clan in which he is a member.

Good soldiers (Simplified rules) - an entertainment server open to all fighters who have reached the rank of Petty Officer of the 2nd rank (STA2). While fighting on the map, players must collect boxes that appear randomly. When picking up such an item, a soldier will receive a random buff with a different duration - from increased armor to turning into a zombie. For the effect to disappear, you must wait a while, or pick up another box.

Gameplay

Gameplay Combat Arms similar to many commercial MMOFPS such as Counter strike, Ghost Recon 2 and Call of Duty. The game offers many different modes including One Man Army , Elimination , Capture The Flag, Fireteam , Last Man Standing , Elimination Pro, Search and Destroy, Seize & secure, Spy Hunt and Bombing Run. The game has a large number of different maps, such as Death Room, Kill Creek, Junk Flea, Oil Rig, etc.

Since the winter of 2009 was introduced new mode game known as Snowball Fight, which was later removed. And again added to GameNet. Combat Arms uses a user rating system based on experience gained in the game, giving players certain military ranks, starting with Trainee (TRN) and ending with General of Army (GOA). Completing missions by killing other players, as well as increasing one's rank, gives the user game points (GP), which can be used to buy new weapons, modify them, and also buy camouflage for the player. Users can also purchase items from the Black Market (formerly known as Nexon Cash Shop) using NX (Nexon Cash) which can be purchased with real money. Most of the items in the Black Market have differences from the free ones (better stats, different coloring) and have no rank restrictions, but there are items that can be bought for both GP and NX. Most items are bought for a period of 1 to 90 days, with the exception of some in the Black Market, which can be bought forever, or when the so-called. Events and gives you the opportunity to buy some weapons or camouflage for an infinite period.

Combat Arms has over 4,000,000 registered users. The game has features such as creating clans and adding friends to Combat Arms. There is also one official gaming league, known as the World Online Gaming League, which is sponsored by Nexon America.
