global map is a browser-based multiplayer game application for World of Tanks. Clans land on it and fight for territories. For each captured territory, the clans receive the so-called gold (gold).

How is the fight going?

It's simple, it's regular card, as in the standard battle, there is only one difference. It's that GC is played enough experienced players who are members of a clan. The winning team either gets the territory or keeps it. For each victory, the clan is given gold, which in the future the clan commander or treasurer gives to all players who have proven themselves on the GK.

How do you get into GC?

Well, everything is simple here. You need to play a certain number of battles that the clan requires (Each clan has different requirements). After seeing the recruitment or asking to join the clan and that's it, it's all about the hat, basically all clans land on the GC (there are exceptions). Of course, not necessarily the number of battles, you can just find the so-called "Nubo-clans" that recruit people just like that and not participate in the landings.

How to earn gold?

It's not so simple here. You need to find a clan that is landing and has a good enough composition. To do this, you must have excellent statistics, from 1000+ efficiency (), 50%+ victories and about 10 thousand battles, and, of course, 1-2 tops (Tier 10 Tanks), because. they land on the GC only on vehicles of the 10th level. Next, you need to win the battle, and only after that the commander will pay you gold (gold). Thanks to you, during the first stage of the test, we received a large number of reviews and suggestions, and collected a lot of useful statistics. As a result, many changes were made - both in the economy and in the interface. new card. In addition, some of the planned changes were not included in the starting version of the map, we will talk about them separately.

Main changes compared to the first stage of testing
  • The start time of battles has been changed. The start of the first battle will now coincide with the start of prime time.
  • Added information on more high levels map approach.
  • Added the ability for the unit commander to apply for starting provinces.
  • Reduced the number of provinces on all fronts to increase competition.
  • The limit of applications for landing provinces has been doubled.
  • Increased the cost of divisions, reinforcements and their upkeep on all fronts.
  • The ability to upgrade provinces is tied to the ELO rating of the front.
  • Reduced the number of possible maps in the provinces (relevant only for the test). All battles will take place on seven maps: Himmelsdorf, Ensk, Mines, Prokhorovka, Cliff, Steppes and Ruinberg.
  • Added the ability to withdraw from the Global Map.
  • Added the ability to prioritize the use of combat reserves in battles on the Global Map.
  • Added strategic options for the Artillery Battalion and Bomber Squadron boosts.

Separately, it is worth noting that, following the results of the first stage, problems with the economy were identified: the map generated an unacceptably large amount of in-game gold, many times higher than the indicators of the old Global Map. At the same time, the cost of various elements in influence turned out to be extremely small, which also led to inflated earnings in game gold.

The release of the updated Global Map is getting closer, which means it's time to lift the veil of secrecy and introduce you to GC 2.0.

When developing a new map, one of the important tasks was to solve the main problems that players are currently facing.

More provinces - more space
Currently, the number of clans playing in landing tournaments significantly exceeds the number of available provinces, which makes the competition incredibly strong.

New map has a flexible architecture, and if necessary, we can expand it to an almost unlimited number of provinces: two, five, ten times more!

Everyone will land
On the current map, in order to capture a province, a clan needs to go through a landing tournament without the right to make a mistake, spend a lot of time fighting, but in the end there is no guarantee of success.

On the updated Global Map, besides more provinces, a new way to enter the map will be introduced, while it will be possible, as before, to capture territories in landing tournaments.

Choose the level of technology
The recent introduction of additional regions for Tier VIII vehicles has shown the great interest of players in participating in battles in this format.

Next generation global map will have regions with vehicle tiers similar to sortie battles: VI, VIII, X. Accordingly, profitability and opportunities will differ.

With the exception of campaigns and other game events, which are held not so often and regularly due to the current architectural features, the map does not set the ultimate goal for the clans.

Global map 2.0 has a completely new architecture that will allow it to work on a seasonal model. In each season, clans will have the opportunity to compete for victory and special prizes.

Other innovations
Chips are no longer needed, they will be replaced by divisions

A division is a combat unit fully equipped with the required number of tanks, regardless of the number of fighters in the clan. Now it will not be necessary to keep inactive players in the clan, there is no need to move one chip to full membership, and you can be sure: if the fight is scheduled, it will take place.

Division of the map into fronts

Regions will give way to fronts, each of which will have customizable borders, province composition, battle rules, available vehicle tiers, or even a set of specific vehicles. Each clan will be able to choose a front convenient for itself.

New game currency for the Global Map - influence

To lead fighting and perform other operations on the Global Map, clans will need influence.

What is it for:

  • Landing on a map without participating in landing tournaments.
  • Purchase and maintenance of divisions, as well as additional modules to them.
  • Investing in a province to increase its profitability.
  • Protecting your province under certain conditions.
Influence can be obtained in two ways:
  1. Combat operations on the map: when an enemy division is destroyed, the winner receives a part of its cost.
  2. Participation in Strongholds sorties: in addition to industrial resources, sorties will also bring influence, the amount of which will depend on the division.

Influence will allow clans not to depend on a limited number of chips and their “freezing”, independently regulating their activity on the map. Influence can also be accumulated in unlimited quantities, which will make it possible to plan long-term operations.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that influence cannot be purchased for in-game gold, exchanged for industrial resources or loans.

New interface and visual component

In addition to technical changes and mechanical innovations, the map will be radically redesigned both visually and in terms of usability. Navigation will become more convenient, many new information, flexible filters, and a system of pop-up hints.

Conducting battles on the Global Map

  1. After your tokens have moved to a province that does not belong to your clan, it becomes attacked and a battle is assigned for it. The same happens with your province when it is attacked by troops of another clan.
  2. On the Global Map, the attacked province is marked with a special symbol placed on its territory:
    AT information panel province, information is also displayed both about the fact of the attack itself, and about the clan affiliation (emblem and tag) of the attackers, the number of the attacker (if there are your troops in the province), the type of battle (encounter battle on the border or battle on the territory), and also about time of the battle for the province:

The attacked province remains available for carrying out any operations on its territory (moving chips into and out of it, placing chips from the reserve and taking them to the reserve, moving the stake in and out of the province) only until the start of prime time. At the beginning of prime time, such a province is blocked until the end of the battles for it, that is, the block is removed at the beginning of the next turn after the end of last fight move. The starting province in which the landing takes place is also blocked at the start of prime time.
  4. After the battle for the province, all the losers' tokens that were in it are removed to the clan reserve. During the game day, they remain blocked, that is, they cannot be placed on the map for the next 24 turns.
  5. A draw in a normal battle for a province is treated as a victory for the defenders.
  6. Please note that you can get information about the number of enemy troops located in the province you attacked. This information is displayed in the middle part of the information block of the province:
  7. If your province is attacked, you can also find out from which territory the attack is being made. Please note that when you select your attacked province, one of the arrows will change its appearance:

  8. You can strike at the troops attacking you with a counterattack by your forces located in the attacked territory. To do this, it is enough to select your attacked province, on the territory of which there are troops, and attack the province from the territory of which the attack is being carried out. However, it should be remembered that in this case you initiate an oncoming battle.
  9. A meeting battle takes place between two attackers across the same border, that is, groupings of troops moving towards each other. The rest of the troops located on the territory of these provinces, but not involved in the offensive, do not take part in the battle.
  10. The number of your and enemy troops participating in an oncoming battle initiated by you or the enemy is also displayed in the list of attackers in the information panel of the province. Encounter battles are displayed with a special icon:
  11. Encounter battles are always held at the same time, half an hour after the start of the prime time of the province. In the event of a draw in an oncoming battle, both opponents are considered losers. Tokens that lose such a battle are removed from the map to the clan reserve. The winning pawns continue the attack and participate in the regular battle for the enemy province, which will take place an hour and a half after the start of prime time.
  12. If the territory is attacked by troops of another clan, you can still attack it according to the general rules.
  13. A series of consecutive battles is held for a province attacked by several clans. The first fight between the owner of the province and one of the attackers takes place one and a half hours after the prime time nala. The next battle will take place between the next attacking clan and the winner of the first one half an hour after the start of the first battle. The next attacker then attacks the winner of the previous fight, and so on. The clan that wins the final battle of this series is considered the winner and owner of the province. The sequence of clan attacks is determined randomly.
  14. The transition of the province under the control of the new owner occurs at the beginning of the next turn after the end of the last battle.
  15. If the enemy captured the province in which your headquarters was located, this headquarters is removed from the map for 24 turns. During this time, you will not be able to place chips from the operational reserve.
  16. After the 24-turn time limit, you can place your bet again on any of the provinces you control using the same button that moves the bet. The newly placed bet on the map will not be available for movement for another 24 turns, and it will be possible to place troops from the reserve on the next turn after placing the bet.

The global map is a virtual battlefield based on the world map. For convenience, the map is divided into several parts: Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Western Africa, East Africa, South Africa, the Urals and Trans-Urals, Siberia and the Far East, Asia. Each of these parts, in turn, is divided into provinces (for example, the Moscow region, Lithuania, Bavaria, Transylvania ...). Each province has a specific game card. They are geo-referenced: for example, in Africa you cannot find a province with a map of the Arctic or the Sandy River somewhere in the north.

Members

In order to fight on the Global Map, players join clans. Each fighter of the clan is conditionally marked on the Global Map with a token. Solo players cannot take part in the mode, but the developers plan to give them the opportunity to do so as Mercenaries. Clans conduct their own diplomacy: make alliances, create alliances and, most importantly, fight each other.

Why is all this necessary?

In addition to sporting interest, the clans pursue material goals: each province brings its owner a certain amount of gold every day. It can vary from a few dozen to several thousand gold coins, depending on the geographic location and historical value of the province. For example, a European capital will bring more income to its owner than a dozen African possessions.

How are the battles going?

The whole process can be divided into two levels: global (what happens directly on the Global Map) and tactical (what happens in the game client). At the global level, clan commanders move tokens ( symbol clan players), attack and defend provinces, carry out reconnaissance, robbery, and much more. If the pieces entered into a combat collision with the enemy, then at a certain time (for each province it is different), a battle will take place between the members of the opposing clans. Battles take place in the game client (“Special Battle” tab). At its core, a clan battle is no different from an absolute format company battle. The only difference is that players do not see each other's lineups until the tanks are discovered in battle.

Small secrets of the battles on the GK

  • If your province and the province you want to attack are in different time zones, then you need to put the attack before the prime time of your opponents.
  • If you lose a battle for the province where your headquarters is located, then you have time until the start of the next turn to move the headquarters to an adjacent province, thereby keeping it on the map.
  • If the province is attacked by several clans at once, then first there is a mini-tournament between them, for the right to fight with the owner of the province. And if there is a draw in this tournament, then the team that previously attacked the province goes further.
  • If you won the battle with the owner and landed on the GC, then you still have time before the turn update to set up new landings for the next day.
  • If there is an oncoming battle, then the card for it is selected randomly from the cards of those provinces from which your troops and enemy troops came out.
  • On the global map, the attacking team always plays from second base, and the defending team from first.
  • If you have created a clan and think that you will immediately be able to capture provinces, etc. - it's a delusion. To do this, you need to train a lot with the clan, play the compositions of the equipment under different cards, watch the battles of the top clans and only then, after a while, you will have a chance to win. On the this moment for beginners (and even for intermediate levels) of clans, fighting in the GC is only possible to gain experience in such battles. It is almost impossible to knock out the TOP clans from the provinces. The whole point of fighting on the GC is that top clans fight each other for provinces.
