VK 3601(H)- This is a German, experienced, 36 ton, heavy tank from the Second World War of the Henschel company, further development project VK 3001(H). But as they say - whoever pays, he leads the round dance, let's leave it on the conscience of the developers, because the love of money is the scourge of our century (it's good that the projectile has not yet been made controllable, otherwise the shelters would not have helped us fight with the "sub-caliber fans" J) . What is good for a major with "golds" just infuriates most players who do not use "cheat" shells, it is true, without "golds" there would be fewer paranormal situations in the game. I remember that it was back in the days of patch 0,6,6, only I bought myself a Yagpanther, I was very happy that I already had this beautiful (it's true) and in reality the most powerful self-propelled gun. But it turned out that in the game it was cut down to the point of impossibility, you already want to spit - the armor is weak, despite the rational angle of inclination of the frontal - the ricochets are rare, which is a lie in its purest form, the gun is "average" - the top gun has more damage by 100 units than from a less powerful counterpart, and the projectile costs four times more. Probably, they were cast from gold - in general, the notorious system of pumping money from the population from the “most popular” game from the legendary Wargaming is again in operation ... I understand this is a business, but why is it worse than Ferdinant, because in terms of combat effectiveness, Yaga ” really was much superior to the Fedya (in general, the Ferdinant is an assault gun, not a PT). Actually, then for the first time I thought, why cut equipment like that and why such a crazy inflation in shells? It’s clear with the first one - they mutilated a cool anti-tank gun in order to put the Ferdinant, which is far from being so effective in reality, at a higher level (honestly, it would be better if they made the Jagpanther premium, then it wouldn’t be so sick of this blatant lie and twisting real performance characteristics with far-fetched ones for the usual equipment not paid for with real money).

With shells, it also soon became clear that the higher the costs - the less money we have, therefore we will have to go buy at least a premium package, and in order to feel like a king in general - gold shells. As a result, we get more income and less costs due to the use of "gold" (for vehicles from the seventh level, almost all units, and especially PT and TT, the cost of a shot is equal to or slightly more than 1000 credits). But you and I are incredibly lucky here, the top gun of the VK 3601 (H) (8.8 KwK 36 L / 56) allows you to effectively hit most of the targets that we will encounter, even head-on and even from long distances - good The accuracy of the gun is excellent. The damage here is also decent, so farming on this tank will be easy, and given the ridiculous cost of repairs for its HP and armor power, the cost of maintaining the tank will be quite reasonable (in general, this tank, its younger brother "VK 3001 (H)", " M4A3E8" and "T-34-85" are some of the best tanks to farm and don't require any real financial outlay from you).

Having installed a conical gun, we get a more or less defensive vehicle, although it’s still too early for us to go on the attack - the stock chassis and engine do not give us any chances for a dynamic offensive movement. On the contrary, by the time we get to the collision site, everything will most likely be decided there. Therefore, we stand and defend the sharpest directions, since the powerful frontal and high armor penetration of the conical gun give us a chance to delay the enemy for a long time. Even if the team merges, you will get good experience and profit for the damage done to the enemy.

Having accumulated necessary experience, install the top chassis, then, if desired, change the "conic" to "ubershturmpushken" - "7.5 cm KwK L / 70". Then you can put a new tower, although the top tower does not give us much more than an increase in HP. Having traveled a little more, you can put yourself an 88mm gun, but this is not for everybody. It is certainly more powerful, but the accuracy is lower, the rate of fire is lower, and the armor penetration is also somewhat lower (slightly, but sometimes it makes itself felt). In general, the L / 70 is often underestimated and for some reason they prefer to forget that they built the KV and T1 on the Pz-4 with this gun. And, in general, in vain, for the “leave, shoot and hide” tactics, it may not be as good as the 88-mm girlfriend (due to lower damage), but for rushing, “spinning” and “swinging” this gun is even better. The top gun, however, is supported by more damage and the fact that the VK 3601(H) looks just as intimidating with it.

In addition, with the top gun, we can use the “short strike” tactic, which means that we leave the cover, make a shot (deal a decent one-time damage) and immediately hide back, avoiding return fire. That is, at a time we deal almost the same damage with this gun (88 mm) as the “7.5 cm KwK L / 70” for 2 shots, but at the same time we risk less, as we quickly leave the line of fire. If you still score "golds" for the top gun, then you can even play a kind of young "Sneaker" - we left for ourselves, became a rhombus - we fired back and wait for reloading. If you use your “VK 3601(H)” like this, then the game will bring you a lot of pleasure and mountains of game silver, and don’t believe negative reviews about the tank from the players who skated on it, just these people:

a) They hurried and did not really understand this tank;

b) He did not suit them psychologically. There are "attack people", as I call them, they are excellent fighters, but they simply cannot stand ambushes, waiting, and even the average speed of a tank, they need to move forward all the time - attack, destroy, overthrow. Armor

I will not describe in detail the characteristics of the armor of this tank, you can read it on the official website of the game, but it is important for you to remember that we just have excellent frontal armor of 100 mm, both on the turret and on the hull, and this should be used as much as possible more often. That is, to go to the enemy not sideways, not backwards, but from the front, you can also use a small “tuck” (turn around a little sideways to the enemy) - this is how shells will ricochet from the side armor (the projectile meets the armor at an acute angle - less accentuated pressure on the armor - more sliding force, resulting in a high risk of rebound and a lower chance of penetration), and the frontal will be even more useful - so it will not only take a hit on itself, but also more often give out ricochets. In general, our armor is “capricious” and it is often not penetrated by tanks 2-3 levels higher. To be honest, after buying the Tiger and testing it in the field, I was once again convinced that the VK 3601 (H) has much more reliable frontal armor (only the frontal armor of the turret is very well armored in the Tiger).

They pierce us mainly into the lower armor plate, the very place that is covered by our caterpillar (the same problem was inherited by the Tiger). Therefore, we try to hide it behind the folds of the terrain, under fire it is necessary to “dance” more often, that is, wag the hull so that the projectile ricochets or at least becomes a rhombus (for the same purposes). In other words, you need to partially use the “Sneaker” tactics, our barrel, of course, is not so formidable, but the level of armor for our bar is very high. And then we have pretty good hull armor - 60mm on the side and back, and turrets - 80mm on the side and back, and add to that a health reserve of 850 HP. And this gives us a chance to strike repeatedly on equal and weaker opponents, even substituting (forcibly) under the blow of the side. What can I say, “VK 3601(H)” has such a high level of victories often because he is able to put almost any “peer” one on one on the shoulder blades due to high resistance to knockout.

Engines

We have at our disposal as many as three engines for "VK 3601 (H)":

  1. Stock "Maybah HL 174" - 610 horsepower;
